Well done Jim. Too bad there was not a big drum in the middle as it was hard to hear for those at the end...talking of the ?Scots |Guards, they obviously had their tackety boots on and it is bad enough on a good day but when wet its like a skating rink...a few near misses but they pulled through, God Bless them. Well done soldiers . Good luck for the real parade.☺
It is not easy marching or even walking on cobble stones with Ammo boots ( Hobnail Boots ) on . The trick was to clench your buttcheeks as you march. I dont know why but it works. I wore these boots when i was part of the Royal Artillery Saluting Team at Edinburgh Castle
Jim, great video. I am really hoping you can answer this question … @ 27:40 the group of people that are lined up and walk in front of the crown’s “stunt double”, are they just local people who happened to be in the right place at the right time?
From BBC Website ... King Charles, who has been undergoing cancer treatment since February, will address the chamber and then meet "local heroes" who have made major contributions to their community.
Well done all, pity the bass drummer couldn't maintain a constant and proper beat.If you watch carefully, as the band leaves the esplanade the drummers left foot is down before the drum beat and It was so slow I'm not surprised there was so many out of step, even the band were struggling to keep in step. Come on Band, you can do much better than this. As someone who has marched that route many times in studded brogues I know exactly how difficult it is. UTR
Cheers jim , was in the parade so great to see how we looked from the outside

Yes, a few were skidding about for sure!
The Bass Drummer was told to keep the noise down a bit because of how early it was, it will be louder tomorrow

Specially selected folks who have done charitable work I think
