Took my first ride in a semi in almost a year. Here I am, half way through my summer vacation before I start school as a junior, and it's been a year since my last ride. The second I got off of work, my brother called me and asked me if I wanted to go with him to pick up his trailer, I didn't turn it down. Being out of the truck for 11 months killed me. It felt awesome being in the truck again. To bad I can't do it much anymore because I have a job now.
I actually deal with a lot of D&E drivers on the west side of Michigan around New Era, Ludington, Muskegon area hauling beans. Very neat to actually see a company I actually know and deal with.
I don't see what the big deal is why everybody is so surprised if there's women in this industry there's been women in this industry since the sixties and they continue to stay and they do an excellent job I don't see why people are so surprised and why it's so much a conversation they've been here for a long time they do a great job I don't see what it's a big deal

She seems to be a squared away truck driver that really has a good grasp on what makes a top shelf truck driver, I wish her the best of luck and wish I was still out there with the chance of riding down the highway with her, they industry needs more fine drivers like her she is a credit to what can be a demanding job
OTC most Banks will want 15-18% down on a truck. The 10,000 she was possibly referring to is what a bank would call a matinence account. Basically for any cost of fixing the truck. You want 10k in that account and a 10k credit card. You want to carry a zero balance on your card and never touch that 10k. If you break down use the credit card, get the bill usually within 2 weeks or so, and pay it with the cash youve been making driving. Very expressive to be an owner op

And lovin every minute of it... I love the way she say's "She gets ornery sometimes" man she said it all. We have the EXACT same set up almost the same color. I dont have as many miles on my 07 as she does bc we bought it with very, very low miles and we just recently pulled it out of Peterbilt... for those lovely "California" lawmakers to be happy.... and she is "ornery" with the new DPF... which will be disconnected in just a few moments... :P
You don't have to be away from home anymore than you want to....I've been driving for 17 yrs now and only was OTR for about a yr! 17yrs trucking and 16yrs local!
It’s pretty sad that women have to worry about being out and about alone especially in the trucking industry. Truck stops are sketchy for me even as a grown man so I can only imagine what it’s like for a woman. It sounds like she’s well aware of her surroundings though so that’s a good thing and I respect her for standing up and getting it done anyway.
She is driving the shit out that truck, she talking on the CB radio and staying in her lane. I haven’t seen her swerve not once or in another lane. They always say women are bettter drivers
Kristina Wetter has a fine looking ride and pulling a covered wagon that's a lot of work. She's got a Beautiful ride and well takin care of I like that there's more women out there driving Trucks, if I was her I'd pull step deck a bull rack is not for a woman it's just to dangerous that's how I got my spine torn unloading at the Stockyards I'd love to get back into it I started driving at 16 when I bought my first Truck a 76 4300 IH daycab and pulled a roll off trailer for the Family Business along with a loboy, dump and a scrapiron trailer, I was still in High school and would get 3 loads a night hauling 1 sludge container and the other was trash from Victor Dana Corp. and a compact container from Kmart. On the weekends I'd haul the D8 to the shop in town or the 955 Dozier an the Trac hoe. Then in the 80's I got a Pete and leased on to a Friend who had a extra rack and started hauling cattle.I've been driving from 76 until 09 when I got hurt I'd love to get back in a Truck but I don't have any muscle tone in my left leg from my torn spine and hip replacement. I hope to get back in one in the next year as long as everything goes well. Keep on Truckin Kristina and you ever travel I55 and you get off at the 126 give me a shout, I'll buy you dinner.Be safe and beware of your surroundings.
