In my opinion, being "pro-Black" is full-time activism and commitment to the struggle not just supporting businesses, learning history or loving the way you look. That is just having self-esteem, which should be the norm but unfortunately, because of systematic racism, it is not. Being a "revolutionary" means everything you do is intentional and for the cause, so no you cannot be a pro-Black activist with a non-Black spouse and family. You can be a proud Black person but not pro-Black.

I think you can support black people and be in an interracial relationship, but when it comes to how one can be the most pro black being married to a black person is most definitely the most effective way. Im not just talking economically i mean optics. Imagine Obama not being married or married to a white person? he simply wont have as much social sway when it comes to the black community. That can be seen with any community. Optics matter sooo much. Imagine a black person in an interracial relation talking about black issues? its harder to take them seriously
