  • Day out on one of the Murray karts, sorry about the lack of music during the timelapse parts but I hope you enjoy it. Let me know if you have any questions or you want to see anything in particular on my next video. This is my first edited video and clearly I need to invest in some decent editing software but we all have to start somewhere.😉

It’s the original parts including both chains but best to watch my other videos where I explain how I set it up. I did the same as you first off and it killed the belt in no time as geared way too tall.

Is that the original setup with the torque converter? I recently got a hard drive and it has a 30 series but eats the belts up because it’s geared wrong. I was told it originally came with a clutch, a gear reducer, and ran 2 chains.

Bet you burn through a belt pretty fast with a 30 series on a 13hp motor. Need a 40 series imo

Not really, only gone through two belts in two years so it doesn’t justify the cost of a 40 series

@@uksmalltorque5563 I am glad you said that because I have a 301cc or 8hp and have been waffling back and forth between 30 series and 40 series but it’s hard to justify $300 for the 40 series when I can get the 30 series for $75. If you have been on with 13hp then I should be just fine.

@@toddfoxx7233 It really depends on the load its under, so the greater the weight, the taller the gearing and the more hills you climb the more likely it will burn out. My kart is light and my track is flat so its fine.

@@uksmalltorque5563 I have the exact same cart and I live in Kansas so hills don’t exist lol. But I modified it and put a 60 tooth sprocket on it
