Paul’s Tackle Reviews - Waterproof Jackets - MAP & Drennan

This video follows on from the Bib and Brace, Halkon Hunt video by looking at 2 waterproof jackets that I have used, the MAP pole jacket and Drennan 3/4 length jacket. I have had the MAP for a year, 8 years for the Drennan.
I look at all aspects including zips, hoods, waterproofing and breathability.

Great review Paul.. I'm thinking of buying myself a high quality waterproof jacket and I've had my eye on the Drennan jackets for quite some time,having used an original MAP pole jacket that's as old as the hills.. think my mind's made up to opt for one of the Drennan jackets now having watched your excellent review.. keep up the fantastic video reviews which I thoroughly enjoy.. I’m 180 and 85kg so would say you’d need the same size as me, a large.

Hi Paul, I’m looking for some waterproofs, and came across your two videos - do you wear Halkon Hunt Bib n Brace, and the Drennan pole jacket together? I know it might sound like a strange question.

I did wear them together but have now invested in a Halton Hunt pole jacket so the Drennan is now back up. I prefer the cut of the pole jacket over the Drennan which is a 3/4 length jacket.

I’m 6ft (182cm) and around 13 1/2 stones (86kg).
