I worked in the local history room back in the early 80s and was wondering if there might be an interest in photos of Sports Car Club racing from the early 60s. I haven't been back in the library for decades, so I have no idea what the local history room has now days or if much has changed. If anyone from the local history room does read this and is interested, just message me here, I could call or may even drop in.

Ha! I worked there back then too. Well, mostly in F&PA but covered in LH sometimes. They likely would like photos if they are from the Saskatoon area.

@@frederick2video Is there even anyone working in the Local History room that gives a damn about it now. I actually emailed someone there to offer up 30 years of images, never heard back. I am a commercial photographer and had a studio for 30 years. Since Brock and Wilbur were no longer there, the place lacks. Visited years after I had moved to Toronto and talked to June briefly, putting in her time.

@@empirecases4128 Wow! Yet I am not surprised. I think that you are right about people not giving a rat's ass anymore. SPL in general became extremely toxic - even worse since Junes and my time there. However, LH should want to take these unique items that preserve local history. I suppose that there is always the University Archives (part of the library) and the Sask Archives but I suspect that it could be the same thing. I do have a contact at the U of S Archives if you like. What I know about them is that they have funding limitations in terms of taking on new collections.
