Well, who told him that or what gives him that idea. Back in the 80's & 90's it was a rough part of town but this area was revamped removing bars & liquor stores. Now, 33rd Street is the new 20th Street.
I have always lived on the west side of Saskatoon in Riversdale, Pleasant Hill and Confederation. You will be fine if you are not being judgemental and portraying yourself like you are better than this community, some who are homeless and drug-addicted. Not everyone in this area is problematic. No one is perfect, everyone has a life story that has lows and highs. Nobody should be judging anyone. There's plenty of bad shit that happens there so people shouldn't be fooled by this video, but if I'm being honest, even as a white dude in my 20s, as long as you keep your shit to yourself, no one is really going to bother you. I had maybe 3 or 4 dangerous situations come up over that time and was always able to just walk away from the encounter. Though, I definitely would't recommend hanging out around Fire Creek, Mcdonalds, pharmasave, or On The Run in the middle of the night. Also, just to be clear for the people saying "there's no garbage it's so nice". Yes that's true, but that's the whole city. Saskatoon is one of the cleanest cities I've ever liven in or been to. They take that shit very seriously there, even in the ghetto.

I lived there in that neighborhood, it's not like you think ! From what I've learned about this area ,is the Ukrainians used to run business on 19th street,and for some reason left. I read that they also packed up and left northern Saskatchewan or manitoba,and nobody knows why or where they went! I stayed there from Sept 2012 till March 1st! Then from June till Nov,in my van out by the airport,nobody gave me a hard time,except a couple of ashokes from work! The drama and fear you have in your head is not justified! A guy riding past you on a BICYCLE, is not a biker,like in the Hells angels or Outlaws, mc club! I DOUGBT anybody on 19th street is going to grab your camera!,and a lot of guys that ride big, Harvey Davidson aren't interested in you walking down the main drag through Saskatoon! I did here a few stories, and the worst habit out west is poring gas on someone you don't like or stabbing them for a cigarette! Fear mongering at its best,whered you here all the fear based stories? You can walk on young street in Toronto at 6 am and find drunks sleeping it off in doorways! Downtown Vancouver has many ppl there living on the streets,most aren't into robbing you. I stayed there from Sept 2012 till March 1st! Then from June till Nov,in my van out by the airport,nobody gave me a hard time,except a couple of ashokes from work!

I did here a few stories, and the worst habit out west is poring gas on someone you don't like or stabbing them for a cigarette!

You can walk on young street in Toronto at 6 am and find drunks sleeping it off in doorways! Downtown Vancouver has many ppl there living on the streets,most aren't into robbing you.
The sad part is no would would call me do do work while I lived at the salvation army men's shelter in Saskatoon!
Once yur diwn,no one helps you get back up but yourself,but it's real hard,without a phone,clean clothes,and a computer to see tge jobs emails sent to you!

Saskatoon city sure has spruced up 19th street from what I see in his video, but it's no where near as bad as some places I've been!

I went to highschool in Saskatoon hung around some dangerous cats hung around in them bad areas back in my day it was all about respect... Not sure what its like these days im a old prick these days but had plenty of fun in Saskatoon durring my highschool days 🤙
