The Pentastar is no hot rod, but for a daily driver we are pleased with the one in our GC. It's happy on regular gas, has port injection, no turbo, no direct injection, no carbon buildup, no fuel dilution, and regularly gets 25 mpg highway.

Wow i went in for 23 summit reserve 5.7 hemi coming from 22 trx ignition it felt really small the grand cherokee so i end up getting 23 grand wagoneer L iii it is my best road trip vehicle so far very comfortable im happy

I have the 2022 Wagoneer with the series 3 package. It’s a great choice. I think it’s the best choice over all full size SUV’s.

Glad you made this comparison video....not test driving the Wagoneer first (or at all) if you're in the market for the GCL is the truest statement by far 👌🏽...our '21 Summit Reserve GCL Hemi was $70k OTD when we purchased it and there were no Wagoneers on the lot at the time...we came from a '20 Durango R/T so the Hemi option was a must for our needs...the interior and features of the SR is nice for the money but I also realized that its novelty wore off pretty soon...the night vision and massage seats were nice to have but hardly used it...the McIntosh system was ok but the Alpine is just fine and who the heck cares about a suede headliner?! 🤷🏽‍♂️...took my GCL for service last month and they gave me a Wagoneer S1 Hemi for a loaner and immediately fell in love with the space, ride, and comfort...we desperately needed a large 8 passenger suv because we had another baby this year and my other kids are growing like weeds...luckily my dealer got a 2023 8 passenger Wagoneer L with the Hurricane engine and after the first test drive, my wife and I are sold!....our '21 GCL SR Hemi is nowhere near as comfortable or quick as this '23 Wagoneer L (you're right about the seats as well, 13 hour drive to TN from OK was rough and the massage seats hardly massages)...and the funny thing is that they are both recommend 89 octane fuel but the Wagoneer gets better mpgs!? 🤔 these two are night and day in comparison, even more so with this V6 version...

At the $80k price point for the GCL yes, no V6. But the lower trims still should still have it.

We had a 22 grand Cherokee L and yes, it’s ok for smaller kids. Nice suv. But we traded for a Wagoneer series 2 carbide and wow….it’s amazing. Wish we would’ve just bought it first. Lol. Nice review!

6.5 0-60 in the large Wagoneer where you are at elevation is quick! 1000 plus pound feet diesel trucks will disappear in the rear view . That Hurricane engine seems almost underrated.🇺🇸💪

Heck those new Hurricanes are game changers. You could chase an Escalade-V with the Grand Wagoneer and its HO Hurricane.

I'm on agreeable terms with you about the Jeep Grand Cherokee L with the Pentastar V6. It's an underpowering engine. The 293 horsepower it has is good. That part of it is fine. However, the pound feet of torque needs to get an increase. The torque at 260 isn't enough, especially for the size of the vehicle. I hope during a mid-cycle refresh they increase the torque to either 270 or 275. If that gets done a difference in overall performance will be noticed. Back in July of this past year 2023, I was able to get the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L also in the Summit Reserve trim. However, there are couple differences with mine. The color for mine is Diamond Black Crystal Pearl, the interior for mine is the Tupelo Walnut color and finally I got the one with the 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine. Good performing engine. A definite night and day difference over the V6. I did a 0 to 60 with mine and it came in at 6.2 seconds which is impressive. Next test I'll do is 0 to 60 in Sport Mode and see what I'll get. As for the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, those two full-size SUVs are giving some competition to the rival competitors. Competition in terms of features, interior space and performance. When you get the chance test drive the Grand Wagoneer.

I hate this so much. I've been trying to get a Wagoneer L series 1 for a few weeks now. Trying to trade my 21 Ram 1500 5.7 with only 18k miles and these wagoneers are so hard to find. And when I do they are way overpriced. I don't even care if I get used 5.7, 6.4, or hurricane!

Give it a few weeks. There are a ton of Grand Cherokees sitting on the dealer lots. Wagoneers will be as well soon. Interests rates up, economy very tumultuous, unknowns, layoffs rampant. Not a good time to be selling $75k + vehicles.

The piano black interior just kills both of them. They look good for a month until it gets scratched and looks cheap. Jeep should offer options. Bmw x5 mops the floor on Grand Cherokee.
That’s why I got an X5, plus tows really well

The 3.6 is a great engine and perfect for the Laredo, but for a summit L for over 70k it is ridiculous. Even the 3.0 I6 with an output of 360 hp would be perfect for the grand Cherokee. It needs more torque.
