I can still handel them pretty well.I have 50 of his operas and 28 of his oratorios and numerous chamber works and of course his complete keyboard music.

ヘンデルの曲は今まで結構沢山聴いてきたつもりでいたが、この度この曲を初めて聴いて、その美しい旋律に感動しています。私がヘンデルの作品の素晴らしさを初めて知ったのは歌劇｢エジプト王妃ベルニーチェ｣序曲を聴いてからだが、それもこの2、3年前からのことです。この曲もベルニーチェに似て哀愁と威厳さとを込めている点が似通っているようてす。今後この曲は私の大切な曲になるでしょう。
ヘンデルには他に幾つか非常に美しい旋律の曲があって、かのカラヤンもそれだけをペルリンフィルと協演 しています。
Handel, Bach, Mozart, Rachmaninoff, and so many more will never be forgotten. These meastro's are timeless and deserve our upmost respect. Truly what a relief to have classic music in this world.

Yes, I did and learned to like only what what came with “The Lone Ranger”. However, that was actually a lot. By 8th or 7th grade I really like Bach then Mozart. By college it was mostly classical with some jazz and has remained so until now although I’ve added Handel.

My parents were from Europe and loved opera. My dad had Callas, Sutherland, etc al records which were often played. Live from the Met every Saturday. I found Handel, Mozart, and all the other fellas on my own, but I'm so grateful for the foundation I got at home! ❤

Händel is the kind of composer you want to hear in the best possible orchestrations. Water music and the fireworks in this box are not to my liking but that is because of the numerous (better?) performances to choose from. However, it is a pleasure to listen to and a nice introduction to the world of G.F. Händel. Thanks for the possibility to listen here at YT
Rinus 1951 Handel like most Baroque composers benefits hugely from being played on authentic/original instruments. Some older recordings, particularly from England and Germany are sugary, syrupy, overweight and quite plodding.

Thanks to modern technologies, including U tube, for decades, I've searched for most of these masterpieces in market places/supermarkets, notably, ogbete market, Enugu, Nigeria, ...without success, though, special thanks goes to Peter Edochie of the then ESBS for hosting the classical half hour which provided much of the reprieve. I can now have unlimited access classical masterpieces. HURAAY
