The turkey you are referencing to are mature adult birds. These birds that are shown here are growing. Hence why the face and neck are pale skin, it brightens as the turkeys reach puberty. As for the white feathers, that is just a genetic difference. Some turkeys have white feathers, some have brown-black. It is no different from a yellow lab compared to a chocolate or a black lab retriever. Would you say that a yellow lab is less healthy than a black lab?
@Ed3891 if you raise turkeys outside you have at the minimum 20% higher death rates. Which would you rather be raised in? Outside with no protection from the elements or in a air conditioned and heated barn?

id really dig this farm if the birds went outside and ranged. 1 i would hope that they are breed for outside hopefully in time getting strong and stronger. 2. becoming part of the eco system and adding to the water table. even if they started the birds inside until a certain age than moving them outside
They are better than most CAFOs. I appreciate them opening the door to their CAFO. But a CAFO is a CAFO. If you have to raise them like that because of the climate you live in then you should be raising something else. I wouldn't eat these turkeys. There are plenty of free range options and the meat tastes better. It's worth the extra money because I would eat less of it. Quality food not quantity.
Hello sir, thanks for the great video. How much does a day old turkey eat per day and for how many weeks before you change its feed?

Would these be Nicholas birds? :) They certainly look like them.
