It’s great Will guzzle fuel with a V8. I’d buy one with a diesel motor. Torque, grunt and decent economy. Diesel would be better for towing. The HD model with a diesel is available here soon. But, a payload of only 760 kg isn’t great, and easily causes issues if you you want to carry passengers / luggage, and tow over 3 tonne. HD model - Tare weight - 2,540 kg GVM - 3,300 kg Max Towing - 4,500 kg GCM - 7,160 kg At 4.5 tonne, plus Tare Weight is 7,040 kg Leaves 120 kg for a driver, and you are at GCM. Tow ball down weight is included in the GVM, so without a GVM upgrade, how can you tow 4.5 tonne ? Need a GVM upgrade… At GVM of 3.3 tonne, the max you can tow is 3,860 kg And must allow for tow ball down weight in the GVM, so not much left for passengers and luggage in the tray 🤷🏻♂️ Late this year, or next year, the facelifted model with a much more modern and premium interior will be available in Australia.
The 2022 model addresses the interior short comings pretty much completely but it’s still not on sale in the U.S. so heaven knows when it’ll be available in Australasia
It's odd because the reverse lights are under the bumper and where are reverse lights are in America is the turn signal because Australia requires a Amber turn signal
Probably quoting marketing / dealers prices (which is fair enough for journalists) which are pre taxes, delivery fees etc. You're not getting one of these for $115k.
Interior is very basic and plain compared to the RAM Limited... Might have the bigger motor, however I do prefer the look and finish of the RAM much more.
Fucked if I can find one for $115,000. Best I can find is that exact same ute selling for $140,000 with 10,000kms on it. Let me know where these $115,000 ones are please. Will travel anywhere in the country to pick it up!
There is a reason these things are referred to as ‘Bro-dozers’ in the US… Might work in rural/regional areas but I’d hate to have to manoeuvre this thing a city or even a sizeable town.
It’s hard to explain. But it does not drive like a behemoth. You know it’s large by just looking over the hood. But for something so large. It handles way better than it should. If you ever get a chance take one for a drive you will understand. And in Texas they call these “Cowboy Cadillacs”.
I've driven my old 2011 Ram 2500 CC (7" lift on 37s) in Manhattan and it's not a problem. In many ways it is easier than smaller vehicles because people will actually let you in. Parking is a problem though. I have to book 3 weeks in advance.
Born, raised and live in the states. I've never heard a 1500 referred to as a brodozer, that term is typically used for 2500s and 3500s (typically ones that are lifted an extreme amount)
Not once in 2 yrs have I done more than 630 kms on a tank of 95 or 98.. Their claimed figures are frogshit. Lol. Average 15-16 normal driving and high 20's towing 3.5
Would you pay $115K for the Silverado 1500 LTZ? Why or why not? Comment below!
Nooo Just spend a little more and get the HD 2500 with the Duramax.

No, got the Trail Boss as better suits my needs, only thing I would have liked in LTZ on the TB is the additional cameras.
If you like getting shafted sure
yeah. it's good value. it's awesome!
One of the better Car journalists I have come across on TH-cam.
Well done Dylan.

Saw one in the wild for the first time yesterday, good looking on the road.
Does the 2022 premium model ltz have any other new features?
It's odd because the reverse lights are under the bumper and where are reverse lights are in America is the turn signal because Australia requires a Amber turn signal
Do you get the inline 6 cylinder diesel in Australia?
Ranger raptor 0 - 100 5.79 seconds 1/4 mile 14.21 seconds, Quicker than any other ute?
1:23 well, what else can you do but point in the forward and up direction to show where the ENGINE ROOM is in that Titanic.
Don't know where ya get ya prices from...😳. $145k for a silverado here in WA

floating around the same price as a y62 on the used market, reliability is the question
Where the hell did you get your pricing from?
We're in Australia and these are Australian dollars. The prices are correct. I gather you're not watching from Australia? - Mike Stevens

The Limited is the second from top Ram trim. To get that level of luxury in Chevy you need to go to the High Country.

Yer ay..... don't know where this bloke gets his prices from... 145k in WA
Nice pick up truck. Bigger and faster.
The best

Bro dozers are the ones that are lifted with small sidewalls.

I watched more. And my only other feedback is: ITS NOT A FUCKING CAR!
I love the fact that Australia is embracing the American pick-up truck, but it's still jarring to my ears to hear you call it a "car"...!!!

I can tell you probably live in a city with those figures lmao. I get 10.6L/100km
“Dual cab Ute” bro it’s a 4 door truck😤 not a
Mf’n Ute.
We call a truck a truck ya peanut
malibu 2022 live in youtube
You're so short which makes this truck looks so huge....... I'm just saying.
No thanks, I’d rather spend an extra $220k trying to turn a 79 series into a worse tow vehicle. 🫡🇦🇺
