Fantastic video. Never a dull moment. Everything seems to appear so simple to fix, when you are explaining it. I’ll never fix a side-by-side like yours but I’m fascinated by the mechanical workings of all kind of machines and I’m learning new things at the same time. I can’t believe you were able to film this procedure in such a tight spot. Love your channel.
great video, changed my rear drive following video for first time, didn't remove gas tank but prolly good idea, alot of bloody knuckles.. thanks for the video
They look like manufacturing marks. There is white marks on a lot of the bolts and nuts as well. The drivers side says 47 and the passenger side says 45. Do you know what they are? Thanks for watching.
@@NorthernHomeGarage so my bike has the same type of writing on it except on a couple different components including the inside of the front fender on plastic , same type of utensil but says 320b or something like that. And “ok” written on Another component. Not sure why . Wasn’t sure if they were replaced or what ? Just thought I’d ask
If you go back and watch the video again, I'm pretty sure it's a 13MM open end wrench I use for the center bolts on the shaft. I addition, you'll need a a 3/8 socket set with metric sockets. Thanks for watching!
Luckily, I’ve never had to touch the windshield. What clip exactly are you referring to? I have the repair manual. I can check if it has anything about it. Thanks for watching!
@@NorthernHomeGarage the one with velcro. I have to change on each on my winshield, full and half. There a rectangle in the plastic and the"clip" seems to go inside. But i don't want to break the border of the windshield. It's exactly the one on your in this video
Really? Did you change the belt because you heard that was a good fix? Or did it need replacement because it was worn or broken? I'm really curious now. Thanks for watching.
I noticed if I don’t add a bit of extra air to the right tires it will pull right. It does make the left hand turning feel a bit more “ sloppy or crabbing” I guess I would say. But only at trail speeds. Low speed turns are fine. I have another video about the tires. Maybe that would help? Thanks for watching!
Like night and day difference. Is the noise gone?? No but it's much better and does not have that metallic PING noise anymore. Now I just have to do the front shaft yoke and maybe install a primary clutch low spring.

Awesome video
Could u not drill a hole a put a grease zerk on the slip joint?
There’s lots of room for one. That’s a great idea!
What tools do I need to remove the driveshaft on the commander?

@@sebars30 ya sure I can you show you that. I’m in the garage now. I’ll post a short for you in about 30 minutes.
Short is posted on my channel.
sure would be nice to hear it
What did you want to hear? The clunk on take off?
My rattle stopped when I changed the belt.

Do you have an issue with your Commander not turning well to the left versus the right?

Can you tell me the u joint part number?
When I get home I’ll see if I can find it for you. Thanks for watching.
how many hours did it take?
The shaft removal probably took around 40 minutes including taking apart the interior and sliding the diff back. Thanks for watching.
Did it fix the noise?

You must have small hands because I can't even grease that u joint
My wife says they are "average" lol Thanks for watching!
