I actually got one that was assembled and adjusted correctly. I did swap the seat. Probably will order a seat post, but not in a hurry. After adjusting it to fit me, I’ve really been enjoying riding it.
I bought this for my wife. I put flat bars and hydraulic breaks on it and its absolutely perfect for her. I have a gravity avenue and they are pretty much the same spec. I have upgraded mine over the years and uts the ultimate Frankenstein GB. 11 speed, tubeless, and juice brakes. I have done some EPIC events on it!
So hard to find these in their bigger sizes, and even more difficult to find any info from people that have ridden the smaller one to see if it makes much of a difference
I'm riding the small couldn't find medium I'm 5/11 weight 215 everything is perfect I'm adding djc bike suspension seatpost and bigger seat for more comfortable ride for heavier person and I will be adding a phone holder for now. I would love a front suspension soon because I ride the bike to work 25 miles a day. I rode 12 miles today I overall love the bike I just need more comfortable seating that's all I ride 12 miles to work 12 miles back the gears make the travel so smooth and not much power needed I might get street tires since I'm using this for commute more and keep the gravel tires for when I want to go off-road riding 🥇💎🌎⛱️🏖️🦾💚🥇
I am 5'10" and the medium feels a little small to me. You have to try it yourself. My brothers are 6'2" but have the same size feet. Point I am making is that the guideline for height is flawed
I own one, so I can give input on it. Yes, you can change the tires out to road tires. The gearing is lighter than a road bike, so you will be slower, but it is still kinda fast. I am ok with the gearing for now, but I do wish the freewheel had one more smaller gear for a little bit more speed.

I also believe that a gravel bike left as a gravel bike is much better for these poor roads and sidewalks than a road bike. I finally quit riding my road bike and my track bike because those skinny little tires pumped up rock hard are terrible on my body.
@@Hardtail-Shredder-Trilordy I agree. I will stay with 40 mm tires. I don't like the skinny rock hard tires that make my teeth chatter and give me a brain massage! I haven't ridden my track bikes or road bikes since I got the G.1 Explorer.
Reach wise I think you would be good, you could always replace the stem if you needed a little more. I’m thinking it’s going to be close depending on how long your inseams is. I’m 5”11 and I had to bring the seat up a good bit to fit, but I think it would definitely be worth trying.

This is absolutely worth it. You can always slowly upgrade. I always upgrade my components. Building wheelset was the hardest because fine tuning.
Got mine over the weekend. Needs some adjusting but it’s gonna be a tinker bike/project.

I read freewheel are easily damage, do you think that is true?
That's not %100 true, it just depends on the quality. The problem with freewheels is they can be really hard to replace.
Im trying to find this bike to buy but walmart only have on small and medium frame I'm 6'2 you think medium works for me?

Yes you can definitely do that like @waktosha7378 was saying. I would however recommend that you use a wider tire like a 30c due to the rim width.

A Giant brand carbon fiber one.

I’m 6’1’’ and bought the bike last week. Medium works great for me.

it's $248, i wouldn't want it to be light weight. at least at this price and this weight i know it is substantial
