14pro is 4 times the price of 6a where i live (around $1700). It just makes the 6a look like an insane deal with this level of camera quality…

@@andyH_England yes dude, you can't call a person from 6a, you can't use insta or text someone, every app crashes after 5 minutes, you don't even get network on 6a, the only thing you can use is camera and nothing else. yes, you're right.

but as a overall package and when we take video recording into consideration, I would say iPhone is a better deal.
Pixel 6a performed better on MKBHD blind test and iPhone 14pro came 3rd.
I'm definitely getting the Pixel 6a, after being stuck for 5 years with a $140 budget smartphone which is starting to show it's age. It's really going be a huge day and night upgrade difference for me 🙂
Man, i have the same experience, and become unbelievably exited when bought a Pixel 6a. That's fckn unbelievable when i got the Android phone but with iPhone video quality. It's just a pity that the wide-angle camera is weak, but for a phone that is 4 times cheaper, it's not terrible😊

I'm going to say it. Daytime photography still looks better on the Pixel 6a. iPhone 14 Pro only kills it on selfies and video.

Pixel wins overall. You'll get blurry photos much less often with Pixel. With iPhone, it's very easy and common to get blurry photos.
I love the pixel 6a, every one go for it. Natural photography and vidieo quality is superb.
iphone 14 pro DESTROYED by the 6a.... and, please, bear in mind that some "Reviewers" were saying that the IMX363 "cannot possibly compare to their competitors" back when it was the main shooter on the Pixels 1,2,3,4,5
They never took into account the amount of optimisation they can make with this "Old reliable" sensor ;)

Pixel 6a uses the same camera sensor as the older generation of Pixels (pixel 5,4,3,2.. That alone is just insane.
you can make a case that the older sensor produces better images than the new 50mp sensor bcos the lens technology has matured to optimise the focusing for the 12mp sensor, the newwer 50mp sensor has major focusing issue
After watching the video, look at the price of $400 vs $1000. One thing is for sure, u don't need to spend 1000 bucks to get a reliable camera on a smartphone these days.
Not sure that many people buy for the cammera anymore as most devices at all prices do a good enough job for the average user. So, it is more about the rest of the package, what you can afford, and value-added features.
It seemed in the video comparison the pixel had more dynamic range and more detail of the mountains behind you. I see iPhone still adds a reddish hue to skin tones like always.

The number of pixels doesn't mean anything really. It's how the software processes the image and this comparison shows very well how we don't need the most expensive phones to get great camera results!
i got pixel 6a becouse i needed a new phone.didnt want to wait for 7....its great piece of tech very underrated actually.cost me 500 euros with case.iphone 14 pro cost 3xmore in my state. no brainer...what makes the image on 6a so good is the stabilization.its actually pretty mindblowing how good it is...

Pixel photos and videos look clearer and cleaner to me even though they are closed. With the price difference between them if I'm only buying one of them for better cameras I would go with the pixel

One of the biggest differences is the sharpness of faces in low-light conditions. In the pixel 6a faces appear less natural, and less defined.
Bro I didn't expect this from the pixel 6a 💀 I just bought it for $250 because my previous phone just stopped working so I bought the first cheap phone I found on Amazon and it has almost same Quality as a $1700 iphone, I think found diamond for the price of dirt wtf im still shocked, I was planning on using this as a Temporary phone but I think I love it.

Great video, but I think you should group all the stills together and all the videos as well. I don't care about videos and almost never make them. It was frustrating to keep on stopping and forwarding.
This video made me like my $300 pixel 6a better. You don't have to spend so much to have good photos and video. It may not be the best but it has everything I need from a phone for my personal use.
Just for 300! Google's got kids to feed. Give them 20 more. I bought it for 400 with deal.

Seems like Google did good by ditching the Qualcomm. Qualcomm controls a lot features that can contribute in camera performance and it keeps those features for their flagship processor only for example 4k 30/60 fps recording is removed from 600 and few 700 series processors even if they can technically record in these resolution i would pick tensor for the camera quality over this monopoly of Qualcomm

60/40 in advantage of the iPhone when it comes to photos (and a big reason is for a dedicated zoom lens) and a clear win for the iPhone in taking videos, but Pixel 6A is the peoples' champ for sure 😀😀

Pixels software processing is still better but the limitations of the hardware are so vast between this mid ranger and the flagship iPhone that it can’t overcome physics. As soon as the light dropped the iPhone was miles ahead
the lights dropped and thats where the pixel shine the most with their night sight
I just hid both the smartphone names and asked my gal which photos and videos look better. And 8/10 she picked the Pixel 6a. I think that explains a lot. Shame on you @Apple for reselling the same shitty phones each year with a different name and raising the prices sky-high. Not appreciated.👎🏼

Beyond cameras, what about temps, battery life, finger print scanner, multitasking? I wondering if is better save money for the S23 or Pixel 6a is enough? I'm concerned about overheating, battery, finger print and lost connections on 6a.

At this point it's all just subjective. Some people look at the images and say wow pixel better and some people say iPhone better. To me at this point there shouldn't be anyone buying iPhones at these prices. There is no difference except one you are over paying.

Both are very good ! I guess it's down to budget and personal ecosystem. Subjectively speaking I prefer the images produced by the iPhone as I personally find them more visually pleasing ( I'm a pixel 6 owner). But like cameras , IE Sony are very good cameras but I prefer Fujifilm colour profiles. Pixel video is very good compared to previous devices , the only drawback is if you want to share it on social media the video quality will downgrade dramatically, whereas the iPhones won't

I'm getting the Pixel 6a, owned the regular P6 for several months, took thousands of photos with it. The most reliable smartphone camera I've ever seen, producing solid quality each and every time. And the 6A's shots look just as good!
So why are you downgrading?
Love the photos taken by the pixel 6a but still iphone is still the best when it comes to video.
Indoors videos the iPhone destroyed the Pixel, but with the out doors it was close call and in some cases I think the Pixel was better.
Pixel has much improved video wise . Must point out though they don't post very well to social media , usually end up looking a pixelated mess, whereas iPhone videos upload in much better quality
Camers are becoming so much a like on phones now that it's hard to pick just one. Both did great. Can't go wrong with either one. The 6a video has made some improvements which is good. It really depends which phone you like and works for you
damn..this phone is my target.. one thing that doesn't work on pixel here in Philippines is 5g.. but I think wouldn't matter much since i'm still okay with LTE
Sulit device I guess 😉 22k lamang sa Pilipinas. The iphone14 may have more pixels compared to 6a's 12mp but damn the results are amazing especially when you use nightsight even if it's daytime - dynamic range galore 😂💪💯.
Parang I read na it doesn't get Globe 5G but it gets Smart 5G. LTE is still fine coz I think marami nang 5G devices pero our networks can't cope with that demand naman so baka nga mas less crowded sa LTE na band. Anyway I've seen a shop that sells it for 19.3k so I'm probably gonna buy one.

Do I have to change some settings in pixel 6a camera? My pixel 6a takes shitty photos ( even compared to my old pixel 3a like lots of people have reported online ). Too much post processing ( face looks fake/too white).. most of the time unclear/pixelated photo. I didn't change any setting on pixel 6a.
If you have a bad camera, return it under warranty replacement. No settings need to be changed. The device I used is all in auto settings.
It might be a personnel preference but I like the white balance on the pixel. Iphone still have that yellowish tone that I'm not a fan of. The selfie photos is better on the pixel. Iphone photos look a bit saturated...some might like it but pixel looks natural. Video is still on the Iphone side but both have that shake when moving in low light.
Colours are way off mate. I have a redmi note 5 pro from 2018 and it shows the original colour in comparison to pixel which due to white balance messes up the picture.
iPhones camera is honestly much better. The pixel’s can only do so much with that level of hardware.
It's the Pixel for me. The only thing it needs (in my opinion) is 24fps 4K video. PLEASE GOOGLE 🙏

Well yes, the iPhone pics are (generally) better, but then so they should be, given the price difference! It just shows how Google's computational imaging software is pretty good. I'll stick with my bargain basement Pixel 4a 5g for now though - I'm waiting for your reviews of the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, Nick!
