- On todays episode we are taking a closer look at the Dr.Otek Hand Digger and comparing it with the Garrett Hand Digger. Which one is the better Digger to carry on your belt.
I had my Garrett digger for around 3 years. It snapped a couple weeks ago. I can't decide if i should get another Garrett or something different so thank you for the information 👍🏼

I've been using a Garrett digger like that one for the past couple years. The sheath it came with did not last long. The digger itself has held up exceptionally well. I sharpened it and it made digging much easier. Fits great in the digger spot in my finds bag.
I also used one for a long time as well. But I never sharpened it. Maybe I should have.
I'm using the garette right now, I originally had a amazon special that was serrated on both sides, I loved it but I bent it prying on rocks, I got the garret because it was basically one of two choices my dealer had, with the amazon I was cutting my plugs both directions so the Garrett took me a week or so to get used to cutting pluflgs only to the left, but I love it now, if it breaks I'm going to go with amazon again, it was cheaper and solid enough for the price, any digger would have bent the same way prying on rocks
Now see. You went and showed me something else. I bought the doctor otek on your recommendation the one problem I had was I always had to take my belt off to loop it thru the sheath Now I can just slip it over my belt love it even more! thanks.
You are welcome. I use just about everything they sell. I am supposed to be reviewing their new pin pointer. It will have features on it that orange pin pointers do not have. I can’t wait to put it through it’s paces and see just how well it can do.

We just might have to do that. I literally just use the Ötek Digger. Before that. I used basic garden diggers.

Grave Digger sidekick is the best
Never seen one. Since this was Dr.Ötek versus Garrett. I will take your word on that.
For me the sidekick is not so good for popping shallow targets and side walls targets. GD is a beast for sure. Gave mine to a friend who loves it. And it's a little short on reach. If GD changed its tip geometry I might still be using one.
would like to see you compare that with a White.

the serrations on both of them are pointless . its pointy , but not cutting . garrett one isent a good one at all , bends easy and serration is a joke . havent tested the otek , but it looks better then the garrett
You've obviously never attempted to dig in centipede, crab, or bermuda type grasses that shoot out runners.
@@basketballjones6782 you obviously havent tryed other diggers. if what you say is true, your telling me those types are easyer to cut because the sawteeth arent sharp at all. so i guess you proved my point .

Garrett and Dr. Ötek. Which one would be the “other” digger? One has to be. So I guess I have tried atleast one other.
