  • Surgical Neurophysiologist - this is the study material I used to pass the CNIM exam and D.ABNM written exam. This is also a good periodic review for neuromonitoring physicians and technologists.
    There's quite a bit per slide, so please make use of the pause button to really look over each one. Make sure to watch all the videos in the series. It breaks down SSEP, EMG, tEMG, MEP, EEG, ABR, VEP, train of four, and other modalities in different videos.

    Thank you all for the kind words. It's always good to hear people are using them. As far as what might be coming down the pipeline, I'm not sure. Time is tighter now with 2 young kids. But I have some things in the works.

    Used this video series to prep for the CNIM. I passed and highly recommend this to others.

      Is there a lot of anatomy and phys on the CNIM boards? Currently going through training right and plan to take in a year

    • @19boulder11
      @19boulder11 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@albeeeezzyy1 yes there is anatomy but it isnt a large part of the exam. The questions were more like "if you're monitoring L4-L5 which muscles would you use?" The choices site specific, but none of the muscles you'd use to monitor a case

      @@19boulder11 ah okay got it. I have my first case tomorrow, a microdisectomy L4-S1 (cyst) i believe. Looking forward to it, and thanks for your help!

      What other materials did you use ?

    • @19boulder11
      @19boulder11 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@MrLiehus honestly, not much else. I had old practice tests borrowed from a very kind oversight physician. From those practice exams, maybe 3 questions were on my CNIM. The rest of the exam was a breeze because I studied these videos

    You are the man. I've been working in IOM for 2 years now and am now studying for my CNIM and this is the first series that is really explaining IOM clearly. If you aren't busy, I feel like there aren't any videos of creating montages for SSEP, MEP, EMG, TOF etc. that many people would benefit from watching and breaking down why we make them. Just a thought. Thanks again for these videos!

      Hey,
      Im trying to get into IOM. I have 4 year Neurodiagnostic Experience, a Bachelor's in Exercise Physiology, and im registered in REEGT and RPSGT. Whats a fair starting salary to work for an IOM company to train me?

      How did the exam go?

    • @AdamFelibrico
      @AdamFelibrico 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@drakebumpus7363 I failed it this first time, restudied, and passed the second time around. There were more questions on things that I was not expecting to be so much of on the exam. Here are my notes I took right after the test that helped me pass the second time.
      Menieres disease
      60hz
      BAERS
      HIPPA (safety and privacy)
      Voltage from BAERS
      Voltage from picture
      Pectineus muscle innervation
      Obligate peaks uln and ptn from labeled picture.
      Hope this helps!
