Today, we are unboxing the maxace scythe. I have been waiting for this since I was 2 years old and since the day came, I am so excited. So let’s unbox this scythe, with a scythe
How are you cleaning your stones???? My stones are feeling like they are getting clogged up especially that synthetic course stone from scythe supply and I’m afraid to clean it with kerosene or other products.
If you use your stone in water it shouldn’t normally get clogged up. Mine only clog up if I oil the blade and then I just use washing up liquid and a stiff brush to clean it. Never use oil with a scythe stone.
@@SomersetScytheSchool I have been cleaning it with water but I will try scrubbing it with a brush. Even after I wipe my blade down before I hone the blade, my stone is still getting a lot of residue (metal, dirt, vegetation) in my stone. Granted the kosha was horrible last year in Western Colorado. Thank you!
Good question. The wedges thing is a bit of an urban myth. Cut height with a scythe actually varies very little. The blade needs to be on the ground to cut grass effectively.
There's something refreshing about seeing a normal ass scythe used for its intended purpose.
That's a badass blade😎🍻

It is amazing how much better people maintain tools when they have to use them by hand.
That’s true

It must always be wet. We use vinegar in the stone horne, cause it doesnt evaporate
Do you wear wedges on your feet for different cut lengths 😂
Serious question though

stainless reaper
Asmr
how many swipes until you notice its dull ?/
That depends on lots of things. How recently the blade was peened, how damp or dry the grass is, what type of grass, how many molehills etc.
The grim reaper..😊😊 old school .. cutting grass.
