I will never understand why Disney didn’t show a single person on any one of those ships in the citizens fleet. It was their opportunity to have as many Easter eggs and callbacks and references as they wanted. They could have had Hera, Mando, Hondo, any range of iconic species just chatting over the coms, having little scenes to themselves, cameos from the books etc. it’s just a shame that the citizens fleet doesn’t really mean anything if we don’t see a single member of it
The Ghost was part of the fleet, at the front actually, but I do agree with you on that.
Disney used Star Wars as a money grab and didn't give a shit about the fans. Kinda hurts to think about ngl

Just so bizarre. We didn’t even need to know who anybody was. Just hear some chatter. Random sullustan or twilek ‘I’ve got your back’. ‘Moving in for a shot’ ‘we’ll take the cannons’ just random space gibberish and actually make your citizens look like it’s made up of actual…..citizens
But all we got was a load of cgi ships in the background. We don’t actually see them flying about or actually destroying things. They needn’t have even have showed up
The only people they show to us are characters who they’ve introduced in the same film. Even poes crew from force awakens (minus Temmin Wexley) don’t get a look in.
Yes we got wedge that’s nice but even that was a slight discontinuity error for him to be so chirpy and happy almost immediately after his adopted son Snap just got blown up. And wedge was with the resistance anyway so we don’t actually see a single member of the citizens fleet
@@obiwankenobi687 Like I said, I still agree with you on everything that you said. I wish they did more with the ships in general to give us a cool space battle, but nope.
Because that ties the hands of future writers. They can't kill off any of those characters anymore if they appear in the finale like you described. It would also take away some of the suspense from future content as those characters would have perfect plot armor. TROS is decades after the OT where a lot happens.
@@brandonholmes8485 but even without anyone we recognize, we didn’t see a single creature or species or human from ANY of the citizen fleet. And they didn’t even show any of those ships actually doing anything. Waste of time even rendering any of them

The LEGO version actually made this movie more tolerable and it's all because of how much fun they had with Palpatine. The dialogue he has during this level is so full of callbacks to the prequels I love it and they actually made the all the ships appearing better by having some recognizable characters which the actual movie sorely lacked. I would've loved if there was just one bit dialogue over comms from characters like Hera, Zebb, Hondo, etc.
"Help me! Help me Anakin! Oh he's not here this time."
"Anakin, the jedi are taking over!"

There were so many moments in this game where I found myself readying the controller only for the cutscene to continue playing and skip the part where I expected there was gonna be a gameplay segment. Mostly space battles.
Not gonna lie, while the overworld was was awesome, some of the levels were really disappointing. Especially in Phantom Menace and Rise of Skywalker, since some of those were just 2-minute long vehicle missions where you're a shooter on rails.
Heck, the first level in Rise is just flying through the same ice cave loop and shooting tie fighters when they fly in front of you. What was even the point of making that a level?

The resistance B-wing in this shot has no real-world official model yet! I wonder if they'd ever make one based off of this model.
Forget Abrams and Johnson, LEGOS should have been in charge of the Sequel Trilogy from the beginning XD
I love how the Sovereign Protectors and the Knights of Ren are more of a threat in a LEGO game, than the damn movie.

Well there’s remnants Of the C.I.S Empire And First Order to mop up. But other then that we can explore. Even though The Battle Of Extigol is Over it is still creepy when exploring. Kinda reminds of of that Sith Temple in Star Wars Mystery Of the Sith
16:12 Never would I expect by simply cutting out one line from the old lady would make this scene this better. Still kinda cringe, but not as cringe as in the movie.
I gained more enjoyment watching these LEGO videos than watching the movies. They don't take things seriously. Lots of slapstick. Meta jokes. Easter eggs.

Actually, this was a reference to George Lucas making a character called "Kira". The character would be like Rey but after Disney bought Lucasfilm, they named her Rey (I think they did that).
@@harshith125 That's a deep cut right there. Cause I remember now that in the artbook for TFA the concept art featured a woman who was called Kira which was later changed to Rey. You'd be surprised how much of that artwork made it's way back in like the main character exploring the ruins of the Death Star 2.

So, does this game has any flying segments?
Granted, the movies only had like 4 major space battles that involved X-wings; but this level felt like an missed opportunity.
But the dialogue is kind of entertaining, though

Why are all these lines better than what's in the movies. The people who made this game need to make the movies as well.
I love this game, but honestly I hate how the devs don't realise they can expand Missions beyond 1 or 2 sections.
For example, in the last mission of ROTJ, you fight Palpatine with Vader, but you don't get to destroy the Death Star as Lando. Why?
Another example, in the Force Awakens we don't play as Poe and Finn while there escaping the Star Destroyer in the first mission. Instead it's relegated to a cutscene. Why?
And now in this mission, there is no space battles in ships. Why?
What about a battle of Coruscant and a magma guard fight on the bridge as well as a force bond Rey vs kylo fight. What the eff man. 😒😒😒😒. I like the game with what we got but how come some of the good stuff ended up being cut scene and open world type stuff.

Man, that was legitimately so much better than the non-Lego edition. I'd rather they use the Lego version for all the sequel movies in the complete Skywalker Saga Box Set. I did enjoy seeing this in the theatre, but that's cause I got to see that movie with my Ma. I also enjoyed seeing ID4 Resurgence with her so and I don't think that was due to the brilliant story telling either.
Still better than the real movie. amazing lego

As a Star Wars Nerd, i really wanna love those Games... I do like Lego too, but this just does not work for me. :(
Can't say I blame you. The game has alot of flaws to me as someone who loved The Complete Saga. The story feels heavily condensed and rushed, the levels are very short, and the puzzles feel more simplistic than older games. Plus they took out character customization which had been a thing since Lego Star Wars 2. Now I'm able to look past that because I love 3/4ths of the game (not a fan of the Disney Trilogy) but I can understand some not liking it.
