1 years ago today is when I first picked up a guitar ( fittingly a slash epiphone les Paul player pack) I watched this video and thought nah I can’t do that , well I’m happy to say I can play it perfectly now , how time flies
That's awesome, I'm hitting my 5th month now and I can almost play it perfectly just struggling with my guitar settings/amp, pedals (if you got tips they would be apppriciated )
I’ve always been just a casual G&R fan but this song is one of my favorite of all time. The evolving emotion of the solos reminds me so much of “Comfortably Numb” in how the tone of those solos change from uplifting to dark. Awesome work as always.
I am thrilled to announce that I am currently working with Guitar Pro and their new app called “Play Guitar Hits”. @@ChristianCMC Yeah I've been playing guitar around 37 years, but some of the tricky stuff that was hard to work out, I would just refer back to guitar tabs also known as Mr tabs to work it all out. I haven't slowed down the videos, just practice, trial and error and going over those hard spots over and over again.

That outro licks 1 and especially 2 are a nightmare in term of timing...its like its random in parts ,very hard to nail it. slash is just an amazing talent.

Too difficult for me. The first two are awesome and I can play both of them. But the last one... I can just listen and laughing at all those guys who still think that Slash is not a great guitarist. They're right: he's not just a great guitar player but a genius.

Best version of this I have heard outside the original! Great to hear all the little licks and the outro solo played so well, but without being buried in the mix, like in the recording. Slowing down your video means I'm finally getting it after years of banging my head against a wall! Thanks a lot for sharing. Would it be possible for you to put up some tips on how to get the sound (gear used, amp settings etc?) P.S. It's hilarious that Axl got a solo writing credit on this song, yet it contains three of Slash's greatest solos :) It would be a dirge without Slash's inspired playing.
@@flyhigh6591 Not really, I used the neck pickup and then a lot of vibrato throughout. That's about as technical as I get: I just twiddle the knobs on my amp and use my ears :)

I normally pause and learn it part by part, so after learning the first part I'll play it few times and then move on to next part. Every time I learn a new part I play until that point from the beginning. @@ChristianCMC
@dwightschrute4056 Yeah, me too. I have to pause. Learn little by little. Then, the next day, I'll forget a certain part and then have to go back and review. It's can be long and frustrating. I usually don't slow down the TH-cam videos cause then it sounds weird, but I'm pausing and rewinding a lot.

@dwightschrute4056 Yeah, me too. I have to pause. Learn little by little. Then, the next day, I'll forget a certain part and then have to go back and review. It's can be long and frustrating. I usually don't slow down the TH-cam videos cause then it sounds weird, but I'm pausing and rewinding a lot.
