I know this tune well. I have a large collection of Brazilian music and I have gifted tapes of 15 versions of this very piece to my friends at presents. This particular rendition was arresting. It moved me to tears. She understood the Brazilian soul in her delicate touch and in her improvisation. This version is second to no other and I don't quite understand how so many Japanese women, brought up it an entirely very disciplined and isolated culture can play jazz like this. It is mind-boggling and makes me believe that our salvation from the madness now spreading across the world lies in connecting through music. The bass and drum players were a perfect compliment to Yuka. I hope she comes someday to the Detroit area, I will turn heaven and earth to go to that concert. Bravissimo.

The lady in the piano has such a beautiful way of playing the tune, and her solo is breathtaking. The other musicians are amazing providing the drums and bass (and accompanying in sync with perfect dynamics) and making the piano solo shine even more. Goosebumps. Arigato gozaimasu. ❤

Instead of attaching a pickup to the bass itself, the bassist uses an external microphone to pick up the sound emitted by the vibrations of the wooden body. This is exactly the acoustic sound I'm looking for. THE BEST !!
We try our best to share the wonderful acoustic vibe that the talented musicians create through their instruments. The mics we have are not the best out there, but we do think that if we use them just the right way, it'll give us enough ingredients to mix, master and edit our videos. Ok who are you? I assume bassist or drummer. You guys are awesome too. Bassists and drummers rarely get the credit they deserve to glue the trio together. As great as Yuka is you guys deserve a tremendous amount of the credit. By far this is my favorite channel. I listen to it daily.

I don't know how many folks understand the technical brilliance of this video, as just one example of yours, but the capture of even the subtlest of notes as well as the forte piano licks warm my soul each time I listen. I have never heard studio recordings with instruments mic'd this well. Not even mentioning how fabulous all players are in this. Wow Wow Wow. Best I've ever seen

Ok who are you? I assume bassist or drummer. You guys are awesome too. Bassists and drummers rarely get the credit they deserve to glue the trio together. As great as Yuka is you guys deserve a tremendous amount of the credit. By far this is my favorite channel. I listen to it daily.

I don't know how many folks understand the technical brilliance of this video, as just one example of yours, but the capture of even the subtlest of notes as well as the forte piano licks warm my soul each time I listen. I have never heard studio recordings with instruments mic'd this well. Not even mentioning how fabulous all players are in this. Wow Wow Wow. Best I've ever seen
