the semi gloss has a more defined voice but I also like the high gloss too. I think there is a deference because the sound is kind of muted because of the high gloss.
Excellent playing! In your hands both guitars sound amazing, but surprisingly I lean toward the sound of the gloss. But, I think it's the better looking guitar, so maybe I'm "playing it with my eyes" a little bit.
Think they sound very similar when playing chords on lower frets. But the gloss sounds brighter, clearer? Both are swell though! Great playing too, btw!
Nice démo but for me they sound the same Robert Godin has a book in french about the history of Godin guitar and he talk about how to choosing a guitar not with with your eyes but with your ear i hope is book is Will be availlable in english about the Godin guitar history!
Hola. Creo que la Havana Burst suena un poco mejor para mi gusto, más comprimida y nítida que la metropolis satinada. Son buenas guitarras ambas, pero yo me quedaría con la Havana Burst. Un saludo desde Tenerife.
Such a LOVELY comparison, what an opportunity!

notes seem more focused with the gloss. Maybe more clarity? Compressed?
So, my question, does one age better than the other?

Thanks for watching and for your kind words! The gloss definitely looks sharp!

In my opinion..satin will always sound warmer
I have experienced this as well playing Martin d18s back to back. I much preferred the tone of the satin. More resonant
Same.
Gloss has more sustain and sounds note clarity
I hate the reflections on Gloss.
Lol, all guitars will sound a little different. Doesn't matter if they were both gloss or satin
Glossy is better tone effect.
Gloss all the way
