Patrick did his homework. This is my new favorite TH-cam podcast to watch. Valuetainment has great editing and interesting guests. The way Patrick allows his guests to speak without interrupting them constantly and has a profrssionalism method which does not throw his ego in there to show off like VladTV does. Kudos Valuetainment! I look forward to seeing more material coming soon.
Good point on VladTV. See how he rubs Warren Sapp the wrong way. Sapp shruggs it off like a champ. I thought it was a disrespectful and uninformed approach for evidence to your point.
I agree with you on all but him not interupting. He's not too bad on this interview but usually he can't go two sentences without butting in. But the production quality is some of the best on TH-cam for sure.
It's hard to beat the variety on this channel so I'm now a big fan of it since I've been on a valuetainment binge this week. Never heard of him until I saw his kobe interview about a year or ago, maybe before Kobe's passing. A lot of the time, I have to ignore what Patrick says because he's not so bright in my opinion based on a lot of his follow up questions. He's bright at finances honestly and becoming a millionaire. I grew up and remember watching the things on TV about these two Tupac and Biggie. Those two were so talented in the rap game and will forever be missed. Thanks to Patrick for bringing Greg Kading who investigated the murders of Biggie. For the families and friends and fans of Tupac and Biggie they now have the closure they deserve! Thanks Patrick for the information that really helps set things straight for everyone.
What matters in this case is that, we all have lost two greatest rappers of all times. Can you imagine how many great songs would they have composed if they had been alive?
It’s not about the music, theses were people with families. 2 black men lost, children without their fathers. But that the problem isn’t it. Whit folks only see black lives as valuable as what they put out into the world that entertains them. Not the individual lives they lead and people they’ve impacted
Knowing the story, but having the ability to convict with the premise of knowing you’ll get a conviction is different. Had anyone been taken to court when they had the actors names, no one would have ratted on them. No video or actual evidence, just hearsay. I do find it curious that LVMPD actually took Keefe D into custody, but he’s essentially admitted being in the car and handling the gun for a few years now (~5). The shooter died the following year (1997). Only Keefe D is the guy living out of four who were in that Cadillac. Keefe D admitted his involvement in a Proffer agreement with LAPD and subsequently did interviews saying he was in the car. He even told an author his story for a biography and told the story about that night. The proffer agreement gave Keefe D some immunity for the murder, but anything he said outside that proffer agreement could be used against him, as the agreement is not an immunity deal. It’s a sealed interview. Also, this detective, or someone involved released the proffer audio which is supposedly not supposed to be made public. The charge against Keefe D seems kinda pointless now. I don’t know if Vegas law allows him to be convicted of actual murder or accessory or what. It’ll be interesting to see what transpires, but I still want to think they have more evidence. It’s one gang member who told a story, no gun, no car, no honest witnesses, nothing else.
They could have arrested and convicted all of the parties involved 27 years ago. This is just how they neglect to investigate the murders of black men in America.
@Fcreceptor no the shooter was not Orlando Anderson....it was Deandre "Big Dre" Smith, he was sitting in the back of the Cadillac on the side of the car that Pac's car was on and he was 6ft6 (weighed 380pounds) so Orlanda couldn't get a clean shot and Big Dre didn't want the shells going off in his face with Orlando leaning over him so Deandre took the gun and shot Pac.....at the time Keefe D initially named his nephew Orlando was because Orlando was dead at the time and Deandre was still alive. Hopefully Keefe at least tells the truth now.
@Foreceptor I read your reply and I find it very unfortunate that We All see plenty of convictions when all detectives have are pieces to the puzzle. But they take those pieces and get confessions ALL THE TIME. I BELIEVE THEY DIDNT TRY... NOT HARD ENOUGH! THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ARE CONVICTED EVERY DAY ON CIRCUMSTANTIAL CASES. I CALL BULLST ON THE EXCUSES! SUGE'S GIRLFRIEND WAS COMPLICIT ON THE DEMANDS OF SUGE. MUCH COULD'VE BEEN DONE... 27-26 YEARS AGO!!!!!
The media is a big instigator. Even to this day people are dying because of the media. It's frustrating to see people eat up whatever the media puts in front of them!
I don't know if you'd ever go back to discussions like this but if you are interested in stuff like this, I would love to see you guys look into the death of Kurt Cobain. There was a lot of red flags that were overlooked, and you even have the former head of Seattle police saying if he were in charge today the first thing he would do would be to reopen that case.

@@user-wz4hr5xu4k I am a huge fan of Patrick, but I also believe that his a racist. Not out of maliciousness, but out of ignorance. I believe that it would do him a lot of justice to interview someone who can articulate the black plight in America. I am not the one to make excuses, but not being from this country originally, he lacks the understanding, and intricacies of the effects of slavery, JIm Crow, and systematic racism. He would do well to interview someone like Dr. Claude Anderson, Dr Boyce Watkins, Tavis Smiley, as well as a slew of other who could properly articulate our struggle. T. Brown, the alleged driver of the white Cadillac involved in this shooting, was not the driver according to eyewitness Kadafi, who gave a detailed description of the driver, 1 of 3 shooters. Kadafi described the driver as being light-skinned, bald-headed, light-moustache, looked like a bitch because he was soft in the face, wearing a white hat. That does not fit T. Brown. Orlando went to the hospital with a dislocated shoulder and they put his arm in a sling (according to Keefe D), plus eyewitnesses said the dark skinned arm shooting from the back seat was a larger arm. An amalgamation of eyewitness accounts reveal that there were 3 shooters - driver, back seat passenger (main shooter) and front seat passenger. A light-skinned gang member fitting the description Kadafi gave, allegedly confessed in 1998, to being the driver and 1 of 3 shooters (none mentioned by Keefe D), hired for an in-house hit on Pac and Suge. This confession was given in a letter to a reporter early June 1998, days after Keefe D was imprisoned (May 28, 1998), and Orlando was deleted (May 29, 1998), because he allegedly feared he would get hit next. Was Keefe D given a Proffer Agreement to keep the real identities of the shooters hidden, but he got tired of watching cops profit from the lies he was forced to tell so he decided to go off script and force a trial to reveal the truth? @@Loobylooto2

"Murder Rap" is indeed a highly entertaining book...Kading definitely did his homework thoroughly and manage to crack both cases, as well as providing some semblance of closure (despite the numerous conspiracy theories and urban legends) for most fans of both Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.. Even tough “justice” won’t be reached from a legal perspective, I think it’s amazing that Kading (and Poole before him) went to such lengths to find answers. There’s been a lot of nonsense from the hip hop community and the black community at large for years about how these two murders have gone unsolved, as though it’s somehow a reflection of our uncaring or racist justice system. This man’s work disproves that claim and ultimately puts the ball back in the critics’ court.

Basically..but the picture they paint is he's not the "gangster", he's an entrepreneur. But Suge was the REAL entrepreneur and was smashing the game. In all situations Puff and his ppl start each conflict mentioned
Andrea Queen you have no clue. Suge strong armed vanilla ice out of his money to start death row and he always did everyone dirty. Pac was broke when he died. Death Row went bankrupt in ‘06. Suge knight -what other business was he in? I’ll wait. Puff/Bad boy still have distribution deals to this day and still doing deals with artists and selling them to other labels. Biggie died rich now in Volettas name. A little brand named Sean John, Ciroc, Aquahydrate water which is in grocery stores near you and revolt all have ownership interest owned by Puff. But Suge is the real entrepreneur? Oh ok and Puff probably worth over 500M in 2020. Suge is scrambling for lawyer fees currently
@@andreaqueen8078 if Suge was real at anything it was being real stupid. How do you call someone a real entrepreneur when all his talent was scrambling to get the hell away from him? That dude was poison to everyone around him. He's had many charges, and been shot on multiple occasions. Nothing smart about how he lived.
@Roy Suarez Because of the Atlanta shooting? That was two bodyguards with too much testosterone trying to be tough guys in front of their crews. No one was innocent in that. Suge did just as much if not more to yeast up the tension between the two throughout the 90s. The fact is Puffy didn't order Pacs death. If someone put their foot on you, what you gonna do? Orlando retaliated. Nothing strange about that.
@@greengoblin1761 i feel he could have been just as big or bigger if they hadn't killed Tupac and stopped his momentum. Puffy got all his accomplishments from selling ppl out and sacrificing them. Most of all of Diddy's artist are in the same predicament as Tupac was then. It's really not that serious to me though because none of them do anything for me or the community. So they're not important to me. They all were entrepreneurs/businessmen at the end of the day.
It's good that Snoop wised up. At the source awards, what he said on stage he was definitely in the gang mentality of being ready for whatever happened. Perhaps a year or two later he was a bit older and wiser and finally got smart to focus on the music and entertaining instead of the nonsense that leads to deaths.
The thing is all of them wised up. Dre left cause he wanted to just make music. Snoop realized the east coast west coast thing was gonna get him killed and Tupac tried to leave but was still in debt to Death Row so he couldn't. The moment PAC signed with Death Row his fate was sealed. PAC started playing the gangster role for Suge. If not that night, his death was still going to happen soon after.
Why Russell Poole didn't discover all this ...if it were so simple after all these yrs...I don't believe it was that...police officer were highly involved..."the same manner u can manipulate ppl to talk...the same way u can manipulate them not to talk , or talk the story on a guided path"
So lets get this straight: Greg Kading (an LAPD officer) magically comes to the conclusion that the LAPD had no involvement in Wallace’s murder. Nevermind the fact that LAPD officer David Mack was a confirmed member of the Bloods, had the exact same vehicle used in the shooting of Wallace, had a literal shrine to Tupac in his garage, AND was the off duty bodyguard for Suge Knight at the exact time of Wallace’s murder....it was all just a random coincidence. And oh yeah: also nevermind the fact that Mack’s LAPD partner (Rafael Perez, the guy who went to federal prison for being a drug king pin and killer, was also a confirmed member of the bloods, and served as Knight’s bodyguard at the exact time as Wallace’s death) has disappeared. And oh yeah: also nevermind the fact that the agent (Poole) who was prepared to expose the corruption of the LAPD and alleged that officers Mack & Lopez were at the center of the Wallace killing....dies mysteriously in police custody. All of this is just a random coincidence....the real killer is a just a guy from the hood named “Pookie.” Right. How about we do ourselves a favor and simply tell the truth: Wallace was killed by two rogue LAPD officers (Mack/Lopez) who were also undercover bloods and members of Knight’s bodyguard team.

@@collegegrad2235 what rot. Stop being rascist. Black Americans are the leading causes of death to black Americans.
So this was technically solved in 2010 yet there wasn’t an arrest in Tupac’s murder until today in 2023 ?
@@Fcreceptorbig dre shot pac

@@el.aye.bee.4477 I was not saying that. I’m saying the narrative that Biggie and Pac’s murders went unsolved because police don’t care is nonsense.

Your interviewing style is excellent!
This is a cover-up story Dr dre and ice cube killed Tupac and biggie they are allowing them to kill with impunity
That’s definitely the actor who played Johnny Cochran and not Cochran himself... good job 😂
Bobby California that’s what I though hahahaha
that google research lol
I was just about to write that like "y'all asses gone really try to play us like that ain't Courtney B. Vance" 😂😂😂 smmfh the nerve 😩😩😩😂😂😂
I was scrolling through the comments to see if anyone else caught that!
His estate would sue if his picture was used
@valueentertainment your interviews are great. U always ask the best questions from a fan perspective also from a journalist pov. So inquisitive and also informed about the subjects. Great job.
so puffy started drama gets scared, when it gets real setting both murders in motion..... got it
Basically..but the picture they paint is he's not the "gangster", he's an entrepreneur.
I remember this. I was at that Source Awards show.
@@cliffpadilla5871 if you were I bet the tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife.

All of this is just a random coincidence....the real killer is a just a guy from the hood named “Pookie.”
Right.
How about we do ourselves a favor and simply tell the truth: Wallace was killed by two rogue LAPD officers (Mack/Lopez) who were also undercover bloods and members of Knight’s bodyguard team.
Thank u bro! I was reading the comments to see if anyone was thinking like I was. People are easily fooled. Great observation!
