I'm not going to lie, this video doesn't provide any new info and blatantly copies multiple videos about the Pac and Biggie beef made by Hip-Hop Universe. It also provides some inaccuracies and doesn't cover a lot of events in the beef. You can't tell me half of this shit ain't even relevant either such as Eazy's little dispute with Pac, Dre and Pac's issues. Let's also get this straight. While Whot Shot Ya, the ORIGINAL VERSION, was created before Pac got shot up, the 2ND VERSION was not. The second version included a second verse which was aimed at Pac and most notably Jay-Z at the time, because of DJ Clark Kent. The later part is a whole other story. This video saying Who Shot Ya was not about Pac, is not true and this is how misinformation gets spread.
@@datruth9585, well it wasn't re-recorded, it was just added onto. But you are correct in that also pointing to the fact the track was finished in '95, and was intended as a Pac diss.
What a lot of people don't know is that Faith Evans went to California to write songs and sing hooks for money. She spoke about this in her book. Despite her first album doing well, she was not really getting paid by Bad Boy. Plus after her and Mary J Bligd recorded a song on her album, her and Mary fell out and Bad Boy had to re-release her album without the song with her and Mary's duet, which cost Faith a lot of money as well.
Best beef ? You mean the most TRAGIC. Both of them died and NO it wasn't worth it. It should've ended IN THE STUDIO. Biggie "response" to Hit Em Up also was after Pac's death and it was nowhere near as direct or scathing let's be honest here. Long Kiss Goodnight is not an all time diss track. The fact that Biggie warned Pac literally the moment he saw Pac hanging with Haitian Jack shows how he really cared for Pac and that was still early on in their friendship. Pac did not listen and not only that he even told Haitian Jack about Biggies warning sign… Literally if Pac listens and chills out from those guys.. the Ayana Jackson situation doesn’t happen which led to the Quad studio situation.
@@Kingbossdon exactly and not only that, leading up to the quad studio situation, pac was talking crazy to Jimmy henchman regarding the money for the song.. He still ended up going to the studio. Just way too reckless.
These two were turned against each other by their “mentors” Suge Knight and P Diddy. I wouldn’t be surprised if they knew what was really going on, and secretly squashed their beef.
57:24 this is debatable. Death Row put out Above The Rim and Murder Was The Case soundtracks in 1994. Both considered classic soundtracks. I wouldn't call that a fall off. But from a solo album perspective, yeah they were slow at dropping projects
I literally came here to say the same exact thing. Both were certified classic soundtracks. A side note. Imagine if Suge signed Warren G and his debut actually dropped on Death Row around that time. That would’ve filled that solo void at that time.
45:09 These are two different recordings. Keith Murray version has a different Biggie vocal take with slightly different lyrics. The 2nd version was recorded after Mary J. And her label decided not to use it. So for anyone saying Biggie already had the song done, sure. He had one verse done. Then they remade it once Pac got shot and issued it fully knowing the circumstances even though the beat was already used on Mary's album. You can also tell the solo recording was done later as Biggie had to remove the Biggie Smalls mention in his original verse and change it to BIG after they got sued in 1994.

Even the name of the song, The Long Kiss Goodnight didn’t come out until October of 1996, pac was already dead. Biggie couldn’t have seen the movie before that and back then trailers weren’t released super early like they are now.
@@NoName-od2qj 💯
i never understood this 😢. like did diddy make bigs diss pac like this after death and released it!!?? this gets no more blatant than that to rub in fact he dead, although pac crossed the lines a few times its only but so much a friend can take 😒
@@horsemen601 The line was crossed when "Who Shot Ya" was released after Pac was shot sitting in prison after being framed. The date of the recording of the song is irrelevant. It dropped after Pac was shot.
@@TheShadow84 factz. mf diddy 😬
Not only that. Puff screaming '95 mfs all over the track. Had to been rerecorded
@@datruth9585, well it wasn't re-recorded, it was just added onto. But you are correct in that also pointing to the fact the track was finished in '95, and was intended as a Pac diss.
Thank you!!! So much misinformation in this video, it's trash.
i’ve never actually looked into the tupac and biggie beef but this goes way deeper than i thought.
Exactly
This vid is so detailed and thorough, excellent telling of their story! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Very good work 💯💯
Great documentary ❤
Big ups to you Mr, John, Anthony sir 👑💯🙏🏿
Arguably, the biggest and best rap beef of all-time.
Thank you, JohnAnthony, for making the "2Pac vs Biggie" documentary. :)
It's not even really discussed 25+ years later. We still discuss Takeover and Either till this day for example
@@AngeBiampandou You got a point. I did say arguably. Their beef was pretty influential to the point whee we might not get "Takeover vs Ether" and other diss tracks that were based on "Hit 'Em Up" or "Who Shot Ya?".
This might be the best breakdown of the beef
Waiting for 50 vs Ja documentary
@JohnAnthonyHD yo! So far, your old school videos are pretty accurate, and they are dope🔥💯... I haven't even watched this one yet, but I'm going to go ahead and give you your props and hit the like buttom💯. I hope you came correct on this one cuh! 👍🏿
Good God I've been down rabbit holes for weeks about hip hop beefs and history because of the Kendrick v Drake stuff. This extra context on rap history is so enlightening.
I wonder what would've happened if Biggie and Pac had never met each other 🤔
Only God knows
You got a point. They shoulda never crossed paths fr fr.
them dyin was so unnecessary. they wouldve been cool again by the year 2000.
Yeah I could see them squashing it by now, or Pac should’ve done his time and he be out by 2000
Not if you sleep with someone's wife
Snoop Dogg and Diddy knew both of them real well.
This is really well done. Good work. You get better with each video

Hey JohnAnthony can we get (BDP VS Juice Crew)
Been Waiting On This To Drop 🔥🔥🔥
It’s been out
This was a very interesting video and I’m glad that I clicked on it. You know a lot of what you are talking about because I know what you are talking about and everything you have been saying is the truth.
This guy narrating is a true journalist. He did his research.
When I first came across this I thought to myself, “here we go, another misinformed guy on TH-cam trying to make content.”
But after being 15 minutes in, I realized I started to learn some new information. And I’ve listened to tons of interviews and watched tons of documentaries about Tupac. I thought I knew everything.
Great job on this artwork. Much needed.
Death Row was defintely not falling off in 95 the fuck are you saying bro? They dropped in 94 Above the Rim Soundtrack which was a major succes and the year after they dropped the Dogg Pound album which was number 1 at the Billboard chart and was certified platinum. Death Row fall off after Pac's murder
Can we Get a Royce Da 5'9 vs D12
Biggie talking about peace but sneak dissin in life after death, album title is poetic so is the 7 day theory
Word up I'm loving your beef videos @JohnAnthonyHD. I think yours and quake from Diverse Mentality delivers great accurate content in ya'll beef videos! keep up the good work bro 👍🏾on 💯!
They saying you copying but fuck all that bro, stay consistent in what your doing, this is what we want to see. Good beef videos 👍🏾 keep working Brodie
If “they” say he’s copying then “they” need to put themselves in that category. This was a thoroughly done video not some rushed BS.
Everyone told him not to hang out with those guys Mike Tyson Ed Lover warned 2pac he didn't listen
@@Kingbossdon exactly and not only that, leading up to the quad studio situation, pac was talking crazy to Jimmy henchman regarding the money for the song.. He still ended up going to the studio. Just way too reckless.
@@BRYxMONTANAbasically and Biggie got robbed by them warning you not to hang with them

Yes Tru!!! True don't forget that pac was warning biggie about puffy too not mess with him🫴🏽✊🏽💯🤎 facts
These two were turned against each other by their “mentors” Suge Knight and P Diddy. I wouldn’t be surprised if they knew what was really going on, and secretly squashed their beef.
dang i love learning about stories like this im glad you had made this video keep it up bro
Diverse mentality walked so that John Anthony can run
More people need to do videos this way. Accurate and precise. No going on hearsay or other garbage just thorough research.
57:24 this is debatable. Death Row put out Above The Rim and Murder Was The Case soundtracks in 1994. Both considered classic soundtracks. I wouldn't call that a fall off. But from a solo album perspective, yeah they were slow at dropping projects
That’s why 2pac was mad at Dr Dre taking too long to make 1 song
I literally came here to say the same exact thing. Both were certified classic soundtracks. A side note. Imagine if Suge signed Warren G and his debut actually dropped on Death Row around that time. That would’ve filled that solo void at that time.
Not gonna lie I didn’t want to watch this video but this is the most up to date and most sense making breakdown I’ve seen great job
Imagine pac and big still here. Back to back number #1 classic albums 🔥🔥🔥

Biggie: if I hear one more rapper talking bout Versace
Migos: Versace Versace Versace 😂😂😂
Technically, he was dead by then so he didn’t physically hear them😂
Pac wore Versace and talking about Versace before Biggie
45:09 These are two different recordings. Keith Murray version has a different Biggie vocal take with slightly different lyrics. The 2nd version was recorded after Mary J. And her label decided not to use it. So for anyone saying Biggie already had the song done, sure. He had one verse done. Then they remade it once Pac got shot and issued it fully knowing the circumstances even though the beat was already used on Mary's album.
You can also tell the solo recording was done later as Biggie had to remove the Biggie Smalls mention in his original verse and change it to BIG after they got sued in 1994.
FACTS!
Stop it Bro
How about you make your own documentary mr

it’s really crazy they were saying the same thing about puffy nearly 26-27 years ago smhhhhh
Yo great job putting this together! 👏🏽 Even though I'm an 80's baby from SD Killafornia there was a lot I didn't know about this. It was a crazy time! I remember squarin off with dudes at Horton plaza mall just because we found out they happened to be visiting from NY.
RIP both legends
I was wondering if this topic would be too cliche for you to do! So 🔥 🔥 and detailed thanks for this
Biggie could've reached out to pac but I guess puffy told him not to
Don’t be one sided with this. Kuz pac should’ve went the ones that actually did something to him. He knew big didn’t have anything to do wit him getting shot. Big warned him not to hang around the dudes that was part of him getting shot. Plus it was supposed to be a robbery the only reason Pacgit shot was because he didn’t want to give his jewelry up and he was going for his gun.
This was good, had some good facts. Now there were a few things missing that was key like how biggie was going to leave Bad Boy and was actively seeking out Suge to join him over there in LA and Puff wasn't having it. The relationship between Puff and big had deteriorated to the point where they no longer could stand each other. This here is why a lot of people think Puff set this up and didn't want Gene protecting him properly.
2pac and biggie case there are so many twists, when you think you have it, figured it out. A new rabbit hole opens. It's crazy
That a very thorough out video I like how you broke everything down I first thought other one but I can see I seen a lot of them and you’re is definitely in the top 3 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Pac never did anything to ayana
