I miss walking outside during the warmer seasons. It was such a great stress reliever that doesn't push me as hard as my regular strength training program. Mentally, I just felt like I could relax and re-connect with the outside world. Can't wait to do that again. 😌

As someone that has bpd, anxiety, ptsd and ocd , lifting heavy weights, eating good, supplimenting good (cbd oil, melitonin ,magnesuim, vitimin d) and sleeping better. Has helped me trumendosly, yes i still get depressed and self loathing,no it wont go away as i have more of the extreme forms of it. But my coping skills and the way i apporach life has gotten so much better

Thank you for differenciating mild /moderate and severe or extremely severe depression. I just watched a podcast with a psychiatrist and a muscle bro who were enlightening the power of "effort" for the severely depressed to get themselves exercising. That scary. When you are suicidal and stuck in bed. Your body shuts down. You can't stand, you can't walk, you have absutely no strength. I have been there myself. You can't walk for five minutes... And you get cramps. I could go on.
So thank you for being a pro on the subject. 👍💪

Those distinctions are a scam. Youre either physically healthy or not. If you have no inflammation ect exercise is just perfect.

Thank YOU so much for pointing out that medicines have a place in the treatment of mental illness. If it wasn't for meds I probably wouldn't be here today. And yes I was exercising, and going to therapy and all the other things. Meds helped me get back to normal. I really appreciate Sal pointing out that meds have a place. Thank you again.

    • @lilyjane1011

Agree! I have listened to ignorant people including psychiatrists guilt tripping severely depressed, catatonic people for not exercising... Stupid meets stupid. Meds make the difference between wanting to die and wanting to live. And being able to function on a minimal level.

maybe you need to change it up. try something new so your brain has to focus on learning or technique to give it some downtime from what it regularly focuses on.
This is why dance is such a good mental break because you have to learn new choreography all of the time.

    Finally someone brings this
    important topic to the table.
It has been a long process to
get rid of that attachment to
body images and I am still
    struggling with that sometimes.
No wonder, since growing up in
    a difficult environment the only
thing that gave me hope were,
sad but true, the Weider mags.
On the good end this way of life
    empowered me to become a
    stronger version of myself,
    I became more self confident,
    less negative and stressed out.
On top of that, I was able to
    protect myself and others,
very cool. On the other hand
though, it took a while to
    understand that the journey is
    not supposed to be purely
    physical at all.
    I became an over achiever,
    stuffing myself with egg whites,
    drinking mass gainer shakes
    like water.
Today I do what I like doing.
In the off season I have three
    regular meals and just start
    drinking more milk. I like
    milk and the extra calories
    boost my strength levels.
    Every winter friends of mine
will say things like I have to
    be careful, I am getting
    obese,I loose my physique,
    blah blah.
To think we have to see our
    Sixpack all year round is
    Instagram bullshit, period.
    When springtime is coming
nearer, I will cut the milk
out and the extra fluff just
starts to fall off and some
    new gains show up.
What I do sounds to simple
and is not by the book at all,
but it works and I enjoy
    the process now.
    I work out for myself
    I don't train for Instagram
    Peace
Thanks for the great video 🥇😎

If you get injured it’s game over. This battle is not flesh and blood. People including myself are demonized and have to reconnect with the father.

It sucks depending on exercise to feel better because you can face injuries. I do think spirituality is key.

2-5 sets of 15 air squats 10 push-ups 5 chin-ups along with a 10-30 min walk. Do that daily and see what happens

Depression and anxiety is the brains way of telling you to get up and do something. No pills or medicine can fix it. Its up to you to fix it.

thats excatly right, if your doing something anything active ( lifting weights is my one) consistently and daily, you will be too tired to be depressed.

Not to get too political, but you know what would have a huge savings in the long term?
    Healthcare that isnt profit driven.
As for those tech giants, talk to the engineers and ask them how much the bosses embraced exercise…
    good talk though
