@AllAboutAlbums you're welcome. I wouldn't say stole. He acknowledged their talent and admired their vibe. Many of those musicians were in the DOMINOS with Clapton.
Hi Alex, One more thing. Over the Rhine used to open for Cowboy Junkies and obviously that was the time before I knew anything about them. The one song I heard from a bootleg recording by them was When I Go on their Films for Radio album and just for this song, it is worth the admission alone!
That’s really cool. I’ve only seen Over The Rhine by themselves but I know they are close to many other Americana bands like the late Birds of Chicago featuring Allison Russell.
Dear Alex, Thank you for clarifying Americana which I used to think was anything American. How wrong was I! Thanks also for bringing up Cowboy Junkies, one of my favorite bands though Caution Horses is not my favorite one by them. I like Pale Moon... Anyway my experience with Cowboy Junkies was quite a while back, I happened to see this band on Sessions 45 on TV and even though they had a tinge of country which is not my favorite genre (Sorry to say!), I loved their performance and as I did not know they were the Cowboy Junkies, it took me quite a while to find out os was indeed Cowboy Junkies and I have been buying their records ever since!
