After many delays (tbh im just lazy) I have finally been able to play this arrangement and upload this video!
I spent the past few weeks rewatching Violet Evergarden (yes I take a few weeks to watch 13 episodes) and it really made me motivated to relearn this arrangement.
This was actually supposed to be uploaded back in September, but I gave up on recording it. I have not been very consistent on this channel, but hopefully that will change.
This arrangement has been really important to me for a long time. I think it has influenced my overall play-style. Animenz’s performance brings out all of the emotions which remind me of the anime. If you hav not already, I recommend watching Violet Evergarden. It is a beautiful anime with well-written characters and there is a lot of depth in the story…it also makes you cry
So…what is next? At the moment I am not taking any requests because I have so many songs to learn right now. You will see future improvs, musescore videos, and perhaps non-anime music. As an arranger I feel like I limit my play-style because I’m only interested in anime piano XD
Anyway, that’s really it. It’s great to be back on a new routine. It’s been really motivating for me. Hopefully you enjoy my performance and as always please let me know what I can work on.

To be honest, this is probbably my favourite Animenz arrangment and you played it so well!

Thanks for stopping by again! Hopefully I can upload higher quality videos more often. I think with my current skillset I can do just that if I stay consistent. But yeah, I should cut myself some slack sometimes
Beautiful performance! Animenz’s arrangement has so much different layer of sound, very difficult! You did amazing, steady, very clean scales, and good voicing! Playing Animenz’s work is very anime pianist’s dream and goal. ❤

@@mgpiano. I wonder which is his “easier” arrangement. But, this one you really played so well. I enjoyed listening to every seconds of it. I definitely hope to play his arrangement some day, but taking it one step at a time. My next goal for difficult anime music is Makiko Hirohashi’s arrangement of “Rouge Message” from Kiki’s delivery service.
@@MizuPianohis Dango Daikizoku arrangement has less movement, but the musicality is what makes it hard.

It’s beautiful! I loved Violet Evergarden as well. Animenz’ areangement + your playing is a joy to listen to! I am also a fellow inconsistent youtube music creator so I understand the pain! Just gotta do what you’re inspired to do and try to finish projects before picking up too many other things. 😅

I’ll definitely consider collaborating in the future! For now, I’ll have to wait till my schedule is more free, which could happen in the next couple of months since I have a lot planned.

Nice work! Just curious what device you used to record the video & sound? I always find unclear to record with iPhone using my digital piano's direct sound output. 😂
I connect my macbook my piano and airdrop the audio file to my phone so I can edit it!

Thank you so much! Honestly, I think I’m pretty good where I’m at. Getting views is great but I enjoyed the learning process just as much. I don’t feel pressured to upload. I just do it when I can (and I cant right now because my laptop is broken and thats how I record my audio lmaoo)
Hello, I'm considering buying the same piano, and after listening to your performances, I was really impressed by the sound it produces. Could you tell me if you use its factory piano samples for your videos, or if you use a VST with different samples? Thank you very much in advance, and congratulations on such wonderful arrangements.
I use a vst for my videos. The factory sound is still good. The vst I use is Garritan CFX, and I believe it isnt free
@@mgpiano.When you use garritan, is it possible to play it without headphones or would the piano have no sound? Also, is there a minimum ram and rom requirement for the pc or laptop to run garritan? I'm planning to buy a laptop or pc for both school and recording purposes.
I’m not using headphones so you should still be able to hear the vst on the laptop. Im using a macbook air that i got back in 2020, so ram and rom shouldn’t be too much of a worry, ofc better specs are always better
You can also make the piano both the input and output device. However, u may hear ur keyboard sound and the vst sound together, so u would want to mute the original piano sound (check ur manual on your keyboard for that)

@@Sasukesanimation i get what you mean sincerely has lots of variety but sometimes I mix up sections because I have played other animenz pieces and I also improvise a lot and i may be playing the “wrong” notes unintentionally😅

woah this is cool! how did you record the audio? it sounds so clean
My piano is connected to my macbook with a printer cable (USB a to b if i remember correctly) and I use garage band to record the audio. Garage band recognizes my piano as a microphone. Its basically midi

Hey, I first discovered your channel because I was looking for covers of Change the World, and I gotta say your playing is consistently impressive! Quick question: how did you learn to do improvs? Was there any specific resource you used?
The way I learned to improv was by using chord progressions. I also learned some music theory so that I can understand various chord progressions. I also listen to many pianists and many recordings which help me get inspiration. Overall, my improvs got better the more I practiced piano, but constantly trying to improvise improved it the most

do you get the songs by score or by synthesis? and if by score, how long does it take you on average to get a song of this level?
I learned with the synthesia because i cant find the sheets for free. Normally it takes a month or 2 to get something of this difficulty
@@mgpiano.There's always free sheets if you look hard enough... Though I kinda hate it lol. Somehow, it's easier to understand complicated rhythms through synthesia than through sheet. It's just that my pride doesn't allow me to use synthesia. I attempted sincerely a few months ago but I always fail to continue due to the long run at 1:40 or something like that. I know that there's a pattern, but my fingers just can't comprehend my brain
