For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Jesus Christ loves you so much that He died for your sins and rose from the dead. John is an incredible musician
And it's so much about what he isn't playing. He is taking up just the right amount of space in the song, his dynamics when he needs to take a back seat during the singing, and the embellishments between the words. The call response is like another voice singing it as a duet.
@@cordia One of the reasons why John has remained a favourite guitarist of mine. Very rarely is he trying to showing you everything he is capable of doing and shredding. He is catering to the song. Giving the song whatever it needs to be the best it can be. Not trying to feed his guitarist god ego like some guitarists
I was there! First concert in over 40 years! The entire thing was magical. Of course the music was sublime. Ed’s energy and showmanship was breathtaking! I was amazed at the quality of the production. The digital art added so much. This was a bucket-list item for me, since I’ve been a huge fan of Ed’s for years! My daughter gave me the tickets for my 64th birthday. Best birthday ever!

That's awesome man!!! Need to start going to more concerts.....music is life and makes me happy!! I'm 67 and my wife and I have been to almost 30 concerts in the last five years. We even went to Taylor Swift in Tampa it was awesome!!

Bruh where does John not get enough praise😂. Selling out world tours in big stadiums. Touring with Grateful Dead.. jammed with all the greats like BB King. Even Clapton says he's a phenomenal guitarist. I don't know a guitarist from these days that's more praised than John Mayer.
I think a lot of average people assume he's just a pop star, but most musicians know he's got serious chops. Anyone that respects music theory knows he's legit.
He is termed as the greatest guitarist of our generation..and he is! I think that's praise enough

I love watching John and Ed play together. You can tell Ed is a legitimate John Mayer fan. The way he smiles and stares at John. Yet, at the same time. The performer in him still wants to entertain the hell out of the crowd. So you get these amazing back and forth with their singing and playing. It really creates an amazing show. The chemistry is next level when you can trust the other guy not to f*** it up.
Everyone who grew up in the 2000s playing guitar idolized Mayer, even his haters 😂
You can really tell that they're good friends who are having a lotta fun performing together (you can even see Ed's face at John's licks and John overplaying a little cause he's just having fun). Honestly such a magical moment between two talented musicians

John has insane talent. Around 2:30 he plays rhythm guitar licks, then he jumps into lead and then solo as necessary. Completely vibing.
Seeing John step into a stadium and shred with that sweet sweet guitar tone, just incredible. And Ed is such a great vocalist and showman.
Ed Sheeran should give John Mayer another 8 bar for his solo. I can feel John hasn’t build up this solo yet and wanted to go with another 8 but got no chance. 😅

John Mayer is one of the greatest guitarists of our generation. Never thought those words would ever be uttered from my mouth, but his pursuit of numerous styles along with pairing up with the Grateful Dead has truly made him one of the greats. Not Hendrix or Santana-esque just yet, but getting closer!

I love how happy Ed seems while he is touring.....after such a rough 2022. This makes my heart happy.
A lot of people don’t know that Mayer played guitar uncredited on Ed’s second album ‘divide’ on a track called how would you feel.
Eric Clapton also appeared on that album under a pseudonym. All 3 of them played guitar on eachothers albums under false names
He’s done that a ton. Which is awesome. Also co-wrote and played Small worlds by Mac Miller
Their voices are a unique overlapping. Such different voices but it works somehow. Two artists that sound even better live.

John shredding the guitar is just 😍 And I wish I can attend one of Ed’s concerts, he’s just a magnificent performer!
I had a friend there, and John was a last minute replacement that worked out beautifully. The higher level seats are still available at upcoming shows. They're pretty affordable, if you can get to one of the stadiums. He's doing smaller auditoriums on Friday nights followed by stadium shows the following night in the same city throughout the summer 😄

Regrettably, didn't find out that John Mayer was opening until we were driving up from NY, and didn't arrive on time to see him open. 😞 Was happy to see him for just this little cameo though.

He's about to jump back into a sold out arena shows tour by himself. 20k sell outs, I think he's still pretty relevant. Sob Rock, his most recent album is still genius. He has reached legend level.
