I am a 78 year old woman who has also dealt with sadness, depression and fear. When I finally sought professional help at age 47, God answered my plea for help. I relate so very much to this young man and hope and pray that he continues to be a musical prodigy for those of us who suffer. He blesses my life!
Yes, men need to be able to express how they are feeling too. The people who love them want and need to know how they are feeling in any situation that is important to them.
I love this man. He doesn't know it, but he is my son. Lol Seriously though, his music & the way he lives his life touch my soul deeply. My daughter, granddaughter & I had the great privilege of seeing him in person last summer on his multiply tour. Such a wonderful life experience! I will carry to my grave! I am 67 & one of your biggest fans Ed! Much love!
Ed. I so relate to your loss. When I first found your music. I loved it. I'm irish (Galway girl). Tonight I can't sleep so I watched your documentary. I had no idea you went through what you did. I am so proud of you. I will always pray for you and follow you.
Nobody in their right mind goes through so much grief without having a mental breakdown. Having lost close friends, wife diagnosis and more upheaval. We hope he finds peace in good health and many happy moments for many years to come. Please continue inspiring the young generations.
Seeing this video of a beautiful young man experiencing all the raw emotions life brings, had me in tears. I’m 67 yo and have loved his songs for a long time. I had no idea that he was going through heartache in 2022 I was grieving the loss of my 40yo son at that time. Ed’s songs carried me through my dark days but they mean even more to me now after watching this video! Thank you Ed Sheeran, you are remarkable 😘
I’m so glad he has common scence❤,!! Loved ones. To love him through!! Maybe some one should have told him have you cried? Have you mourned?? God knows we are made that way !!😢. Grieving is way up there in live for hard things to do., maybe their should be a plan !! Acknowledgement. That we are made to grieve. Along with 💕,, If you love , you’ll grieve!! I come from my mom’s Family 17 children! Mom passed May 8, 2024….. Now there’s only 2 left …0ne is my favorite Aunt!! She’s 81. Amazed always by Ed Sheeran !!!❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
WOW... I have no words, only tears of pain, joy, reflection and admiration... I have always liked Ed but now there is a love for a great man. Hats off to you mate
Ed Sheeran is a true, wonderful, natural artist, I absolutely love his music. As soon as I heard his music I felt like that. Amazing guy. He reminds me of the classic artists of the 60's and 70's. It breaks my heart to think of him struggling emotionally, please take care of yourself Ed
I can't help but think of how proud his parents must be of him.....trying to balance the ability to be the star of the show with a heart that is so tied to his family and friends....a rare combination. Kudos to you, Ed Sheeran!
His music makes me think,it makes the hairs stand on the back of my neck. I suffer from anxiety and depression alot of drama in my life, self harm. But his music always lifts me ,I'm not alone with these thoughts. I wish his family all the best of healt and happiness. You are the best never forget that,my favourite singer song writer by far.
In my mid 70s and have loved Ed for years as do my grandchildren that told me when they were quite young that they loved the words to his songs and they used to sing them. Thankyou
What an amazing young man, the tenderness with his wife makes my heart smile. I am in awe of his talent and in awe of him as a human being. Love you and bless you and your lovely family. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I confess that I underestimated Ed's talent. He is down to earth, and above he showsz respect for his fans and people who he comes in contact with. Well done! Thank you for being such a role model.
I've been a fan since I heard A Team so many years ago. I've watched Ed grow up. He's the best singer-songwriter in the world with his talent, creativity, and beautiful voice! I love Ed and am so happy for his success and beautiful family! ❤❤❤
ED IS SO SWEET & HUMBLE, HE'S WALK THROUGH LIFE HAD HIGHS & LOWS BUT HE STAYED WITH HIS L♡VE FOR MUSIC & WE ARE SO GLAD HE DID..IT'S OK TO HAVE A CRY TO LET EVERYTHING OUT. L ♡ V E YOU FOREVER ED🚶♂️
I was never a crier either I always held it all inside. I was raised up learning that crying means you're weak so for 42 years I held it together until I met the person who would teach me otherwise. It was my now best friend who told me that crying is a sign of strength. I am now 49 and I cry. Ed Sheeran puts his tears in his songs and even though I have never met Ed I feel his pain. Just like he says in "Even my dad does sometimes" yes it's alright to cry it replenishes the soul. I've been in therapy for years and none of my therapists have said it's ok to cry. I hope that Ed Sheeran can find the strength to be able to cry with his wife in private. I am an Ed Sheeran super fan and I wish him the best in all his endeavors. I hope that his future is bright and full of happiness. You and your family are always in my thoughts and prayers always. I look forward to hearing more great music from you Ed. Best wishes for the future. I can't wait to hear what he does next. Ed you're fans love you no matter what. I pray you find the peace you need whether it's crying or laughter in life and in music. Thank you, Ed Sheeran for your honesty.
Love my boy.. I'd do anything for him. I live near him. My son was a great fan when they were both teenagers. As a psychotherapist so glad he got support. As for Cherry, so relieved she's doing so well. Sending them both healing strength and love as I have for years .. love them 🩵🩷🩷🩷
I've been steadily having a rougher time mentally as I age & have had to give up on dreams that I thought I would pursue on retirement. I have realized that I am grieving and angry over the loss of those dreams & what I expected my retired life to be. I cry every day. I finally reached out to a friend & asked if they could come see me so I can talk to someone. They immediately said yes & will be at my home tomorrow. BTW, excellent documentary.
Pursue what dreams you can, only you will stop you from at least trying. I also suffer but when I’m scared and follow through anyway with an adventure opportunity. During and after I realized that I accomplished sooo much and felt tremendously proud. Accept being scared BUT in the end the amount of pride and accomplishment you get will make you think of the next dream you want to experience. You may fell the same way every time you do something new but in the end of your journey you will look back with a smile of being proud you did it.
I hear you. I’m there where you are right now. I’m 63 and have had depression since my oldest was two. So 34 years now and I’m the worst I’ve ever been. I’m totally exhausted 24/7/365 and the drs are trying to get me on the right meds again. My only dream was to be married and to be a mom. Those dreams came true and I have three wonderful children and identical twin grand girls. But… they all have their own lives and are busy. Which is what I want for them. I want so much to travel but this exhaustion has taken over completely. I’m barely out of the house now. I’m tired of fighting for survival so I’ve just given into the exhaustion. Idk what the future holds but I no longer have any dreams other than just energy to live life cause I don’t even have that.
Ed you are a beautiful man and you are in my prayers. My faith in Jesus has gotten me through some real hard times. God bless you and your family. 🎉 Im 69 years old and i enjoy watching you and listening to your music. And I love your beautiful smile. ❤
I'm with you on this, and I'm almost 71. But I was a Counsellor in a former life, mainly helping young people to cope with drug and alcohol issues, so it's how I believe Ed's songs touched me before I knew of his struggles? If only more young people could rationalise and share as Ed can, and had the raw talent that he has, so many would still be alive today? The pleasure we - the listeners - get, is a joyous by-product. Love you Ed. Please adopt this Granny...? 😘
I’m a 66yr old woman who just got diagnosed with Parkinson’s and have some depression, but when I listen Ed’s songs they really cheer me up we all have crosses to carry in life and so thankful for God giving this Young Man so much Talent ❤️🙏🤗 prayers that he stays Humble and Never forget for all the blessings God has giving him . Love the Music May God bless you with long Career Amen
When Ed songs hit Philippines, me and my sis never stop listening... They are timeless and even now that we get older, our hearts still full of bliss listening to his music😊❤
Omg you have no idea how much your music means to me. In one week, i lost my dad, then my uncle. I'm still dealing with loss. Grief, sadness and depression. I'm only getting through it because of your beautiful amazing music. THANK YOU for sharing your music! Please know that you are incredibly talented and are helping me and so many others going through this life.
I already respected Ed as a musician, but now I respect him as a human being. Thank you for making this documentary and exposing the human side of Ed. It is so beautiful. And it is such a step forward in mental health to lead in this way, to show that it is ok to feel and show human emotions regardless of gender. It must be so excruciatingly difficult for men that feel like they can’t cry in front of people because of the idea that somehow it would make them less than who they are. It’s actually quite contrary. It shows true strength to be yourself and to show vulnerability. As far as his grief, all along while I watched this documentary, I kept thinking to myself how his friend Jamal must have been quite the special person. “Grief, I've learned, is really just love. It's all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.” All the best to Ed and his beautiful family.
Thank you for sharing your pain . It does make a difference. God Bless Jamal ! What a legacy for so many of us . We are not alone . People Do Get us & we can help each other . I can never give up. I don’t want to risk missing my miracle!!! Lol
What an amazing young man and how honest it all felt watching him go through his bad times with mental health. I think he may watch this again as he grows and becomes a father. He was blessed with a family and great real friends. I thank him for sharing his journey.I am so glad his wife is ok now. God Bless him as he makes a lot of people happy, and.now himself too.
Such a humble man. ❤️ Special in so many ways. His songs are so beautiful and speak to you. There really does need to be more like him in what can be a soul destroying industry. What a truly wonderful bond between man and wife 💕 👌 documentary. Thank you
Ed, you have no idea how important you are to me and how much I love you. Thanks for everything you’ve done to me, even not knowing me. You’re the best ever 🩵💚🇧🇷
What a wonderful video of. Ed Sheeran ,I had no idea how much he suffered in his time.I love his music!!! But now every song has more meaning. So impressive how he learned from his experiences! Not a whole lot of people can do that.Thank GOD his wife came out ok! I hope his sad days are over!!! His tears now , hopefully will be tears of joy!!!❤❤❤
He probably did more for that crowd and viewers by displaying how he was really feeling in his grief, than if he had sung another song. How humble of him to think he has to entertain when he is suffering. Being an artist/celebrity doesn’t make you less human. I am so glad he was himself and it is just what he needed that night and to go get the help he needed to deal with his grief.
This is so real well done documentary Ed writes How he feels in his music / greif never goes away /you accept it with time and learn to live with it everything changes when you loose someone you love only when u experience lost in different forms you truly understand this life we all live !
A fascinating documentary about Ed Sheeran. You hear all the songs, see the videos etc yet you never know about the background. Im pleased that he has been honest about how his life is, a brave man Id say in his current circumstances. Well worth watching.
Ed is truly brilliant an Iconic writer of every emotion you can feel. His songs make me feel alive. Some of my favorite songs are Celestial, Hallelujah, BAD Habits, Perfect and so many more. May God keep blessing you with your gifts in voice and music so you can continue to honor us as we enjoy your songs.🎉❤
Such a heartfelt interview, Ed put into words and music feelings we all have at times in our lives. Sometimes you have to just go and have a good cleansing cry. The feelings will find a way to come out of you suppress them❤
I love Ed from the song perfect because that's what my husband used to say on our date nights when I would ask him how I looked!!! He is gone now and I miss him every single day.. But Ed has the perfect way of singing thoughts that we all have but can't express! So I love him and continued success for him 😘😘
We all love him cos we all can feel how he feels as i feel everyone go’s through similar things and ed can sing it out loud where a lot of us would rather hide it away and ed has wrote about the most painful and personal things in life i love his music ❤❤❤ he has been through alot for such a young person
Im a big fan of sheeran im 52 and Ed has been an inspiration to my son that is now a guitarist musician thank you Ed Sheeran your so loved God bless you xx
the pain of grief is just beyond words. Let those tears out that is what they’re for just like laughter when somethings funny or a smile. If you don’t it will consume your soul and the depression sets in. 😢LET IT OUT DEAR MAN OR ANYONE I’m not religious but I have no doubt we will see each other again❤
Well done Ed for your determination . Your songs give us things to think about . As we see ourselves there in your music so many times . Keep it going thank you
I live in a cave but I always listen to music when I wake up it’s the first thing I do I’ve heard the songs and I said man that’s beautiful oh that’s a great song not till today that I was able to put a face to the music I should get out of my cave more often excellent documentary
Hi Ed Sheeran. So sorry. About your desperado. And anxiety. I've had depression and paick. Attacks all my life. So I understand what you going threw bless 🙌 you. Yes music helps ok.xx
Watching this video brought tears to my heart. Ed is so amazing and when I thought I couldn't love him more I have been proven wrong. Such a beautiful person inside and out.
Your heart and soul are in your songs and i feel everthing you are saying.... And wish i could take your pain away...but you have your wife and children your loves...please be happy....you deserve it....😘😘
2022 was a year of massive grief and loss for me too. Right after an amazing blessing. Everything was ripped from me including my mobility and remaining health as well as those that I loved. I was left with only my husband, losing my daughters and grandbabies.
❤❤❤ I totally understand all of this because music is my therapy I also understand how he lost his best friend like his brother and I also understand why he did not want to cry in front of anybody but in actuality crying is our venting mechanism that God created in US we were created to be soft and fried because even Jesus wept I love this young man he is a true inspiration to the music industry and he wrote a whole album about pain and suffering and it helped me to be able to create my own song last year I wrote my first song because of Ed Sheeran last year in May after hearing his song called boat and then his whole subtract album❤❤ he's a wonderful sweet kind-hearted musical genius and a very giving young man he is so great to all the other music artists and gives a lot of his money to high schools to save music programs and yes music is needed in the schools so very much I would not even be able to sing at all if it was not for being in choir in school and growing up with music love you Ed Sheeran❤❤❤ and I do feel your pain in your music you are the best in the world all of your songs have true emotions and heartfelt stories you deserve your success you work very hard❤❤
Thank you I am 58 bedbound housebound with ms and a sew of bad news made me cry with that’s the words in my head I couldn’t write! Thank you ed, praying for you
Ed Sheeran ...I love your music , your voice and your unique talent....but More than these... I love that you care xxx Sad that you have had a shit time in your life... glad that you are through it so far.... Be happy ... Love and revel in being loved ... A musicians job isn't to entertain people. It's to make them feel whatever you felt when writing your music.
He has a beautiful mind and so much is in that mind......that the floodgates have to open.😢❤
Yeah ❤❤
He probably did more for that crowd and viewers by displaying how he was really feeling in his grief, than if he had sung another song. How humble of him to think he has to entertain when he is suffering. Being an artist/celebrity doesn’t make you less human. A fascinating documentary about Ed Sheeran. You hear all the songs, see the videos etc yet you never know about the background. Im pleased that he has been honest about how his life is, a brave man Id say in his current circumstances. Well worth watching.

Such a heartfelt interview, Ed put into words and music feelings we all have at times in our lives. Sometimes you have to just go

the pain of grief is just beyond words. Let those tears out that is what they’re for just like laughter when somethings funny or a smile. If you don’t it will consume your soul and the depression sets in. 😢LET IT OUT DEAR MAN OR ANYONE I’m not religious but I have no doubt we will see each other again❤

Ich liebe Ed's Songs, seine Ausdauer bei einem Projekt und seine vielen Facetten in seiner Stimme.

❤❤Absolutely Amazing Artist and Lifestyle Thanks for Sharing Story Very heart felt❤
I love him! He is so humble!
