on another note, i love the fact that you are sharing the wealth. The subtle advertisements for different shops, brands, and putting vic on is refreshing to see wish you all the best.
I have recently had a really major accident from someone pulling out on me, I was on my gsxr 125cc and well safe to say the doctors saved my life and been left with a metal rod in my femur. When I get back on a bike my state of mine is going to be everyone is out to get you and they don't see you. Loved watching this video made me feel like im not alone in my thoughts and feelings. I had my gear on, gloves, boots most importantly helmet, if it was for that I wouldn't be here writing this!
@MrGSXSIR most definitely, think it's because I'd only been riding 8 months and never thought something like that could happen to me and stupidly I felt free and invincible
He's right on the False Neutrals. I have an 1199, and went to GP shift just so I could stomp DOWN on the shifter to make SURE the blasted thing never missed a shift. If it's cold, or I get lazy, there's about a 30% chance it's going to hit a false neutral on the 1-2 or 2-3 shift. Otherwise its a BEAST. 398 lbs and 185 whp
Live here in SW Fl and always wear my gear, even on the hot summer days. Got my summer gear and colder weather gear. As far as experiencing an accident, yea was a squid as a kid on a dirt bike YZ-125 with no gear ripping the streets and got clipped at an intersection. Slid into a sidewalk sewer head first, but by the grace of god my head went right in. Road rash on my face and asphalt rocks in my arms, I walked away from that one. Was only 17 back then and 56 now. Went to sports bikes in 86 but only did it for 5 or 6 years because I had to many close calls. Started back up in 2017 and other than close calls, I’ve been good. Pray it stays that way. Stay blessed and safe.
One thing I learned over the 10 years of riding sport bikes on the street-the most important tip I can give-is to always ride in the part of the lane where the most vehicles can see you in their mirrors. For example, if you are riding in the far left lane, you should ride on the right side of that lane so that cars in the same lane and to the right of you can see you clearly in their mirrors. This has saved me from getting cut off daily. I see others riding the opposite of what I said and see cars cut them off one after another due to not being able to see them. Hope that makes sense.
Great tips, especially the insurance. So many people had negative comments on why I pay so much for full coverage and medical, along with uninsured motorists coverage. People think the other person will pay for something that's "their fault" which is a bad assumption.... the 1299sl is my dream bike and I've had the opportunity to ride one on track!
Luna looking clean! I like the new merch design! Everything you (and the other bikers in the video) said about crashing/accidents makes sense. I've crashed four times (all of them the most random unexpected occurrences) and also had my bike hit and run. Gear (save and get decent to pro Helmet, gloves, kevlar/armoured/leather pants and jacket, boots (lost a shoe on the hwy once when I crashed 😂) and Airbag vest. Make sure all your gear is done up properly and not loose!), Comprehensive Insurance, riding IQ (and anger mgt.lol) and have money saved are the bare minimum requirements if you plan to ride.
9:50 ride on the driver side if you're on a 2 way traffic road so people opposite wanting to turn left can see you. They want to start turning right after the car in front of you passes
I've learned survival tips of riding from talking to ol timers that have been in this world for a long time, they teach you stuff more than any riding instructor can, real talk!
Great video! Great info and reminders for both beginners and those of us who’ve been riding for years👍. The insurance topic was a great reminder for us all. Especially for those in the market for their first bike now. Thank you!
Accident avoidance is a BIG deal. As I've told many young riders... you have 3 tools to use when you get in a situation. First, you have braking. Second, you have turning/swerving. And finally, you have acceleration. You need to be proficient in all 3 if you want to stay alive. And having a big engine gives me more options to avoid a problem.
The bike + The Gear + The Mods + The Maintenance = NEVER CHEAP.😅 LOL Don’t let ANYBODY ever tell you different!🙅🏽♂️ #RideLikeYou’reInvisible👻 #FastLaneGang🏁
100% ride your own ride my 1st ride with others I got left behind my over 5 mins I was gonna just turn around and go home but knew where the meet up was for the 2nd meet so just went there after cruising around a heap of back roads getting use to the bike abi, ended up meeting my older mates sister and husband at the pub waited for my mate and the others to show up and then gave then shit for taking so long to get to the pub🤣
🫡 Superb video gettin those vital points across, on point!!👌 I always wear leathers and gear 💯 love both bikes imo think 1299 more savage tone! "Always Expect The Unexpected" its not only vehicles that can cause accidents, ive also came off my bike on oil, muck, derbis on rds had a lump of metal come flyin hit my visor, when you have that death wobble. Absolutely 💯 always be aware you become one with your bike while riding, one my best biker friends died i held him his last breath hes watchin over me now, 🏍🕊 ride safe and bless you all. ❤🏍💨💥👊
Biggest thing I learned from my wreck is never assume a car is gonna do what they’re supposed to always be prepared for that car to run that red light or roll through that stop sign because they’re not paying attention or they’re on their phone
I believe a motorcyclist needs to be extra alert all the time. I get it you want to enjoy the ride, but that’s when u get in trouble. Been riding for 40 years, and I feel lucky not to have been in an accident. Big thing, don’t drive impaired or pissed off.
In my 20 years of riding, in my opinion if u really ride daily, u will crash at some time. Doesn't mean u were at fault. Especially due to bad drivers.
Insurance is cheap on my bike about $500-600 a year we do have a very good health care system here that covers hospital cost so alot easier then the states I can get on my bike and go riding really pissed off and know aslong as I don't die I'm pretty sweet but probably should sort a will so the family I hate doesn't get anything 😂
My suggestion is that homie needs a gimbal, bro. His camera was shaky, and if he had a gimbal, it's weak he needs a better one. Keep up the content though stay blessed 🙏🏽
Can we all make a FLG HQ maybe something for us all and us in EUROPE, soo we can go ride OVER the pound. 😂 i really wanna go on bike trip and meet FLG gang and mr FLGD himself. Would be sooo sick maybe 3-4 day or something 🎉🎉i pray for it also tonight. RAIN IS growing on me , ❤❤

Hey fastlaneD do you still own your harley davidson vrod muscle. Because if you still got it i would really love to see some vrod content as im really into vrods dont get me wrong i love sportsbikes too its just that i lean towards vrods more and ive actually watched your vrod vids from four years ago up untill u stopped making them
I respect you as one of the more entertaining channels when it comes to biker content creators. Please stop promoting NBT clothing. They are nothing more than a company that imports chinese cheap gear for $20-30 and then charges $250. You can literally see their imports from China through ShipMonk using any import data broker. This is why their gear can never be safety rated. Can they work out? Sure, but not every crash is the same and you shouldn't be promoting a company that is "hoping" the gear is safe enough. Safety rating exist for this reason. I know you get a nice little chunk of change everytime someone uses your code but it isn't worth being a sell-out like that. I doubt you'll read this, but you should do your research on a company before representing them. Most comments you see on social media are finally catching up to their crappy tactics on trying to get naive riders to spend $250 on pants that aren't worth more than $40. Buy real gear, that is tested.
I feel like you can't forget to talk about the importance of mirrors when going over all you do to check your bike and make it safe to ride. Being blind to the vehicles behind you is gambling with being rear ended. It can still happen with mirrors but those little glances can save your life. I know you have to have your bikes look like cool influencer bikes for clout, but kinda hypocritical to hear you keep talking safety but avoiding the major thing that could've prevented your accident.
Please tell me that those beautiful Ducatis @ 7:37 were already warm before you started revving them, D!?!?! Good advice throughout this vid. Keep it up.
It doesn't matter how skilled you are at riding, it's your situational awareness and the choices you make in each moment that keep you safe.
Those are skills honestly. Discipline and situational awareness I consider skills because less people than we would think have them.
on another note, i love the fact that you are sharing the wealth. The subtle advertisements for different shops, brands, and putting vic on is refreshing to see wish you all the best.

I agree with all of this. But having good insurance to cover most of your expenses is well needed and yes having situational Awareness is key.
