This woman is the most genuine unique honest quirky beautiful artist on the planet. The Seed, Starvation, Soul with out a king vevo live, Murder 54321 live. Through the eyes of a child live to name a few.
You should check out Aurora's video for "The River". It's about the power of tears. As someone who naturally pushes down emotions, it's a very moving reminder that crying is a normal part of being a healthy human.
Thanks for the wonderful Aurora reaction! I think you'd really enjoy "Through the Eyes of a Child" or "Lucky," both performed live at Nidarosdomen. Great lyrics on both, and beautiful performances.
Aurora is a conduit for all the very best aspects of human nature. An amazing artist, but also much more than that. She gives voice to the potential we all have to be better than we are. I haven't seen a single written word, or heard any statement from her that didn't serve to lift people up.
she has a big catalog with astonishing lyrics to talk about. hope you don't stop here and follow some of the popping up suggestions. i would recommend a chronological approach to don't miss any of her appearances, but that's a lot of dedication.. thanks for your reaction anyway.
It's said she wrote this when she was 11 years old, blossomed the music out, over the next " few" years! She reminds me of what I would want a " forest/ wood fairy/ nymph" to be! Wonderfull!!!!!
I would listen to the same song at the Nobel Peace Prize a live concert to get that experience even if you don’t react. Yes, she wrote this when she was 11 so was a child then. She is obviously a different human who didn’t completely fit in at school. So the was probably writing to help processing her experiences.
One of my favorite songs is Soft Universe, line from the song "make for me, make for me, a soft universe". Live at Nidarosdomen Soft Universe, thanks for the nice reaction to my favorite artist, hope to see more Aurora on your channel soon.
If you want an artist whose songs are lyrically deep and introspective into the human condition, Aurora is the perfect one. She makes you feel every emotion, and her videos also make you dive deep as well. 💛
Lovely reaction! I'd love to see you get into the lyrics a bit more - her lyrics are quite thought provoking as well as beautifully poetic. Suggestions for more of her songs - "The River", "Lucky", "Conflict of the Mind", "It Happened Quiet" and "Cure for Me".
And again an analysis of an Aurora song. You never tire of seeing the analyzes because everyone sees something different in the songs. That's actually funny.... One of Aurora's powers, thank God, is that everyone can find in Aurora's texts what they need to heal their emotional wounds or just to get confirmation for what they feel. Or just to feel. In your case it is no different. However, I believe that headphones with Aurora's music and their analysis would help you a little better to immerse yourself in Aurora's world, you will lose a lot without them. Aurora and her texts have now been analyzed by so many that it's almost ironic to see an analysis, but as a fan you can't help but do it anyway. You didn't say anything new, just what many people had already noticed before you, but at least you let Aurora into your world and brought her closer to your subscribers. I can only recommend Aurora to them. She is the plaster for your wounds.... put on your headphones, close your eyes, open your mind and immerse yourself in the "wonderful world of Aurora Aksnes from Norway"❤
I love any version of this song but the live version of her at the nobel peace event is so breath taking because it shows how she connects to her own lyrics
She is 28 now, this was written when she was 11. If you were to ask her if your interpretation was correct she would say "Yes" but she would say that of any interpretation, it's for the listener to interpret. Her songs are all different and her live ones are the best. She sings in the moment and constantly rearranges them. Try her live Vevo performance of "Soul with no King".
Aroura is such an interesting artist. She mixes beauty and a certain strangeness. And I mean strange not in a off-putting or weird sense but meaning something I haven't seen before. Not clichéd.
Started writing to deal with dark thoughts, with no intention of becoming an artist, and although not all of her songs sounds like it, they often come out of something dark. Empathetic and occupied with mental health and the world in general. Grew up playing alone in the woods, and quite the introvert. Hated performing for a long time, but more comfortable now. I've heard people say they forget to comment, as she's so interesting to watch, and that especially goes for her live performances 😊.
The beginning is so sad about grief. She thinks she sees someone in the sand who vanishes, she sees heaven waiting for her, she paints a picture of someone she misses but they're 'not here'. Love Aurora, unique talent. You should check out some of Billie Eilish's emotional songs too, this AURORA song inspired Billie to want to be a singer/performer..Thank you, enjoyed ur reaction!
This version of her song Through the eyes of a child is one of my favorites from her. Aurora - Through The Eyes Of A Child (Live) - Stripped (Vevo UK LIFT)
Nice reaction. This is still one of my favorite songs from Aurora. She wrote this when she was around 11 years old. I think it was to help her process a loss in her family, running away from grief, but I'm not 100% sure. If you want to see how she has matured take a look at "When The Dark Dresses Lightly" live at Roskilde Festival.
I take the lyrics about a safe place to fall being less literal, my safe place to fall would be a spouse, a place to belong as a husband. But i haven’t found my person yet and it’s devastating getting older without whoever she is, and the song is begging God to show me where to find her.
This song is from her album "all my demons greeting me as a friend", Aurora projects are better view as a whole. In this album she embrace her demons, in a way, in each song she gives them a tone of hope Her albums are thought as chapters or steps it will be cool if you react to the albums
Aurora has so many great songs. Try "Murder Song 1, 2, 3, 4, 5"(preferably the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert live version) or "It Happened Quiet live at The Current" for some to have fun analyzing. Also, for Aurora's meaning of Runaway in her own words, go here th-cam.com/video/P_-aEdRG95I/w-d-xo.html. You can't go wrong with Aurora if you are looking for a singer who gives emotion. Speaking of which, for her song "All Is Soft Inside" live at KEXP (th-cam.com/video/IS2iVcGz_Ok/w-d-xo.html) she introduces the song by saying "This is for the emotional people"
Some facts about the Runaway Music Video: It was shot (as far as we know) during January 31 to February 2, 2015. She was 18 at this time. She wrote Runaway at the age of 11-12 and finalized it at the age of 14 (for a school project, as she mentioned in an interview). The parts, where she wears the 'furry' top (it's actually sheep wool) are shot at the west coast of the Drange peninsula, less than a mile away from her parents house. The parts in the forest were shot in the same forest where she played as a kid very close to her parents house. The parts, in which she wears a thin white cardigan and with some trees in the near background and the island of Lysøya in the background, are shot actually in the backyard of her parents house.
One song with really deep lyrics and a very emotional performance is Invisible wounds, live by Aurora: th-cam.com/video/-M6j6Xy5mjk/w-d-xo.html . One of my favorites!
OMG. I mean... that's one of her... well, less profond (and, profond it is !) song of her. Other ? Best lives from her (because, well, yes). In the eyes of a child. In happened quiet. Murder song. The river (my suggestion, is, first the official video, then live) Day dreamer. Lucky. Little Boy In The Grass A Different Kind of Human Exhale Inhale .... None of these songs leaves you unchanged.
Through her gorgeous voice and her great music, she offers us interesting thougths and ultimately good vibes. To me her live performances are even several steps above, when her raw vocals and emotional way of singing enforce the lyrics and the meaning of her songs, in exemple with Runaway: AURORA - RUNAWAY - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert: th-cam.com/video/Fc7XWW_Ehb8/w-d-xo.html AURORA - Runaway at 101.9 KINK | PNC Live Studio Session: th-cam.com/video/4bbuR-qnFlg/w-d-xo.html It could be interesting for you to watch privately, for yourself, her explaining a little bit these lyrics (the original meaning, because we can interpret and understand them in different levels or senses) and singing softly as illustration, in a video about 10mn: AURORA "Runaway" Official Lyrics & Meaning | Verified: th-cam.com/video/P_-aEdRG95I/w-d-xo.html As suggestion, "Winter Bird", or in another genre, "Cure for me": 20171102 - AURORA - Nidarosdomen - 04/12 Winter bird: th-cam.com/video/fbsKfxyRaMw/w-d-xo.html Aurora - Cure for Me (live at P3 Gull 2021): th-cam.com/video/BpV-eAhUWxk/w-d-xo.html For many of us, her discography is a soft and safe place to go and be, an alternative home, so to speak.🙂👍
Aurora has a song called "Churchyard", and for some reason, it makes me think of my dad, and I love that song but me and my dad had a really bad relationship. He died 4 years ago. If you can react to it I will appreciate it , I want to know what you think about that song
if you are a therapist you should check out the song "when the lord" by susanne sundfor. it's a feature song for a documentary called self portrait about the life and work of norways leading fotographer lene marie fossen, who suffered from anorexia since her early age of ten years old. the song is about human suffering, the power of visuals and made lene immortal. keep some hankies at reach, you'll gonna need them. i have listened to this song and watched the music video a hundred times and each time i'm in tears aftewr three seconds. it has a deep meaning and an important message and needs to be seen. another phenomenal artist is eivor. classically trained sopran and owner of a masters degree in traditional nordic vocal techniques. her virtuosity and versatility are unrivaled. her performance of falling free live at the old theater in tórshavn is one of the very best live performance of all times.
I know it isn't what Aurora says, but I think this is a song about death. Every line of the lyrics supports this. Is everyone else just too afraid to say it? Why is there a reference to heaven if she just wants to go home to be with her mom?
The theme is child sa at home. For anyone who's been through it it's obvious. This entire video is literally a recurring nightmare of mine. The commenting included. But I can't complain.
Reading your self description it becomes clear: You are not interested in singing or musical skills. -Sad… Especially with this artist! If you would be, you would wear headphones -to hear and understand the 10% you miss with your IPad-speakers.
Aurora stated, that for her 'home' was her parents house and the 'soft place to fall' were her mother's arms.

I concur with every suggestion.

Daydreamer, Queendom, Lucky, Through the eyes of a child, The seed, The Blade, When the dark dresses lightly, Eartly Delights.

YES. Plsssss do more AURORA. she has a lot of lovely music about the real life issues. try "River" or "Through the Eyes of a Child"
I would listen to the same song at the Nobel Peace Prize a live concert to get that experience even if you don’t react.
Yes, she wrote this when she was 11 so was a child then. She is obviously a different human who didn’t completely fit in at school. So the was probably writing to help processing her experiences.
Lucky next please!!! ❤ specially the live version at Nidarosdomen
+1
One of my favorite songs is Soft Universe, line from the song "make for me, make for me, a soft universe". Live at Nidarosdomen Soft Universe, thanks for the nice reaction to my favorite artist, hope to see more Aurora on your channel soon.
👍😍🥰🥰
If you want an artist whose songs are lyrically deep and introspective into the human condition, Aurora is the perfect one. She makes you feel every emotion, and her videos also make you dive deep as well. 💛
Aurora is an angle and her music can heal many people, you should check out more!

Aurora - Through The Eyes Of A Child (Live) - Stripped (Vevo UK LIFT)
The live version from Nidarosdomen is even better.
@zpookey no I think the vevo uk lift version is better by far actually.
If you you watched both I'm surprised you don't think so aswell
Nice reaction. This is still one of my favorite songs from Aurora. She wrote this when she was around 11 years old. We have to take into account that this dawn song was composed when she was 11 years old.
There are couple songs from her last album, What Happened to the Heart, that fits the "feeling deeply" label.. you are in for a treat
She wrote this at eleven years old! Check out her most recent album: ‘What Happened to the Heart?’: you will be impressed.
I take the lyrics about a safe place to fall being less literal, my safe place to fall would be a spouse, a place to belong as a husband. But i haven’t found my person yet and it’s devastating getting older without whoever she is, and the song is begging God to show me where to find her.
Aurora explained several time, that for her 'home' was her parents house and the 'soft place to fall' were her mother's arms.
Welcome to Aurora's rabbit hole. She's the beautiful goddess of Dawn in Roman mythology.
This song is from her album "all my demons greeting me as a friend", Aurora projects are better view as a whole.
In this album she embrace her demons, in a way, in each song she gives them a tone of hope
Her albums are thought as chapters or steps it will be cool if you react to the albums

And I wrote the numbers backwards :(
Aurora's simply honest in the flow
Just like and subscribe, welcome home. Aurora is everything and more. My favorite is "running with the wolves "

The woodland nymph.
For a real deep dive analysis I think you really must watch her perform “It Happened Quiet” (live at The Current).
Please react to her Official Music Video of QUEENDOM.
Great interpretation!
Aurora's music is her own therapy as she is an INFP and is a genius who needs no counselor as she just needs to do what she was born to do
One song with really deep lyrics and a very emotional performance is Invisible wounds, live by Aurora: th-cam.com/video/-M6j6Xy5mjk/w-d-xo.html . One of my favorites!

Honestly this song is better live everything she does is better live tbh..
Aurora conqueror and running with the wolves and it happened quiet
I want to suggest a song by Alice in Chains called "Nutshell," the live version MTV Unplugged. Hopefully, you'll do a reaction to it.
make sure to cover rens kujo beatdown
Anyone ever told you, you look like Olivia Munn? lol
can you please react to If I Should by JayTekz? it’s a tear jerker, i know you reacted to i’m sorry by joyner but that song also hits home
