The new edition of Escape from Tarkov has been revealed "The Unheard Edition" where you get... well... A LOT. Including what is quite literally an official version of single player tarkov that is coop. Including AI PMCs to fight for the pvp quests. Yep my ultimate limited EOD edition is now 2nd best. BSG stated years ago it was the ultimate edition. This makes all that a lie
the fact this isn't included in eod is such a cash grab. first they went and blacklisted Single player tarkov, come out with their own and put it behind a paywall for their long time supporters. tbh i had no desire to play this wipe, and this doesn't change much.
I'll just wait for the next edition that turns my pockets into a blackrock rig and makes my PMC clothing have tier 4 armor

BSG then: SPT isn't in the spirit of tarkov so we are going to ban players that we catch playing SPT.

SPT already has a smoothly working co-op mod and it won't cost $500 USD to play with one friend.

Offline mode was always planned. The only ones switching to SPT are console gamers lol. Anymore loss in IQ and these SPT gamers will switch to mobile tarkov knockoffs.

@@Chad.Challenge you sound like you’ve never actually looked at the mods available for SPT, things like Amand’s Graphics and the several AI improvement mods make SPT a particularly quality experience. SPT Hardcore is another great mod to add extra depth into the “realism” mechanics of the game and mods like Live Raid Timers/Map connectors make it feel more like the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games that Tarkov is heavily based off of
9k hours with EOD - this should be included with EOD. 80 increase is insanity. Can't justify it even after those hours, EOD was meant to be the be all, future proof version.

Personally I leave the game vanilla now save qol stuff like increased FOV, but I love SPT because it feels more like Stalker. Ive never enjoyed PVP because I use guns I like and refuse to bend to metas, obviously cutting me off from high end PVP.

Not saying it's right or wrong, but in the end, did you get your money's worth is the question to ask and as far as I know, gaming always beats movies, etc. in terms of dollars per value. With how many hours people put into tarkov, they got their moneys worth and then some.

For 8 years, we've been recommending this game to friends, bringing more and more players into the community. And what was the developers' response? They've blown us off, refuse to comment, and only encourage those who have lost all respect for themselves and continue to pour money in. I personally had high hopes for Tarkov. In my eyes, it was a high-quality and most ambitious product on the entire market. This is unacceptable. This is selfish. This is disrespectful. You've disgraced yourselves completely. You've lost loyal players, you've betrayed the idea. It's disgusting. To everyone who feels the same way - don't be silent. Spam, make memes, spread the word wherever it's relevant. Can we talk about the fact that you can bring friends into a raid that already started (in the future) and that scavs will not shot you from more then 60 meters (with scav rep +6.0)

So ether enable anti cheat on proton, or i will keep playing with mods ofline with out dev support anyway. Maby learn how linux gaming works an wath devs need to do before saying anything. bsg have lost there mind €113.36 just to upgrade from eod you can take your game and stick it
From what i understand in terms of armor penetration, we are now way tankier to high pen ammo with high tier armor but at the same time your armor will degrade really fast compared to before even against low caliber rounds. Armor class * 10 + 15 to penetrate on first shot with each shot chipping away at the armor and reducing its durability. So if you have class 5 you need 65 total pen to go through as opposed to before where you needed 50 and above. However it also means that garbage rounds will go through way faster ( example: ap 9x19 with 30 pen and 50% armor dmg).
Also means that plate material matters a lot more now as well.
Bsg stabs eod in the back and noiceguy gobbles bsg knob so he can keep making content.

no one is talking about how with so many people playing offline, the wait times, which are already long enough, will be longer.
The wait times are probably long because a majority of the people I know aren't playing anymore. I use to have a core group of guys that would play nearly every day for two years. We've all basically moved on. I played to level 12 this wipe and basically stopped. No point tbh. I'm waiting for 1.0 to play again(maybe)

I'm not mad about the cases, or the extra pockets, or even the starting gear. I'm actually mad about being able to keep scavs from shooting me and bat phone for your friends.

At $250 retail, of what I'd assume is $100 upgrade from the $110 I paid BSG for EOD with the understanding I would have access to this sort of content (The COOP mode mainly), I feel like this was false advertising.

The only thing I wonder is if you still need a connection to the servers in order to play solo-offline or if its true offline which you can play even without wifi...
the radio thing could be you joining the cultist faction or something or maybe get their gear and outfits (the pmc changing into cultist boss was kinda sus)

so they gonna release a new EoD everyone's in a while and add some stuff in it and charge us for more money .. an endless way to make players suffer
I wanna honestly know if I get this edition if I would be able to choose whether I have this new unique nametag display or the eod one, would be bummed if it forced me to have the new one. Especially how nobody can get the eod one now
they should add "only pvp"-servers without scavs, bosses, flea-market, quests, hideout, etc. - just fight and loot. I´m sure this would fix a lot of problems and would the "real" arena-mode!

@@Sterlingarcher365 I did change how i fought. If I knew that if I died, I don't lose my meds, or I have a graphics card, if I die I still have some money and my time wasted in the raid wouldn't be ALL a waste, it'll decide whether I decide to take a fight,continue fighting, or run.
It could decide whether I limped to the extract and ran out of time or got shot versus living, because I can fit healing,pain killers, a cms, army bandage, hemostat, and still have a lost or 2 so depending on what exact meds I bring. leaving room for a key,or key tool or a quest item. You CAN'T do that with an alpha container.
having all that stash space makes me decide whether I'm going to go out in a full decked out kit or not. if I have lots of stuff, maybe I will. If i'm running low on stuff, I might run light. but if I'm on a basic edition stash, I'd probably do 1 thick run, and maybe have 1 extra kit, the rest HAS to be sold because I won't be able to hold it all. and if I die, I might not want to use the next kit bcz its the only good kit I have left, whereas with an EOD stash, I can have several and keep going.
"you could unlock it in game" is such a bad argument too. By the time you unlock something equivalent to it, you're already rich, you have fat stacks, you have massive loot, it doesn't matter at that point because you can die die die and still have money and not have to be too worried about losing too much stuff. You unlock it at a point in the game where it no longer effects you anymore.
I've played both the basic edition, AND EOD and there's a huge difference
Trying to say skill > P2W only applies to the higher skilled players of the game. when it comes to the regular rough and tough players, its not the same.
@@VexingWeeb yes, i said from the start that EOD is p2w up to a point. it wont help you win a fight, but it helps you progress early on. its largely mitigated though by the fact that scaving is always way more profitable than gamma-stashing, and everyone can unlock the gamma in-game if they want. having more/larger pockets directly changes how you can fight, and how you build kits. also, the arm band that makes you invisible to scavs, and the distress beacon are entirely out of the grasp of the rest of the playerbase, and completely changes how you play and features you have access too.
EOD is p2w and I’am saying that as an EOD owner. Starting items are no big deal but bigger container saves you money every time you die and bigger stash lets you keep much more things in the begging of the wipe so you can either keep it for a quest or sell it on a flea market later.
