The green lamp looks so good with the plant and it'll match Christmas decor!! Also green is basically a neutral color so I think it will look good with the neutral tones no matter what you have on the shelves

I like the green lamp option. There will always be some greenery (Olive tree, Christmas tree) in that space to match with.
for the lamp, make sure to check/measure the diameter of the bottome of lamp shade. You don't want it to feel crunched into the corner and touching the walls. Maybe a cylindrical shade instead of the classic tapered shape.
Thank you so much for continuing to do these videos with your dad. I miss my dad so much (he passed away 1/31/23) and I wish I could plan projects and things with him again. Idk how or why but watching your vlogs with your dad...it helps to fill in some of the broken pieces of my heart. 💛💛💛

I’m so sorry to hear you lost your dad, and so recently. I lost mine in 1996 and yesterday I cried twice because I still miss him so much. It hasn’t gotten easier

@eatmyoctopus That seems to be a common theme among people who have lost a parent. I have asked a few how they deal with it and when does it get better. They all say "it doesn't, you just get stronger at dealing with it." Im sorry for your loss as well 😔.... and how do you even respond to this statement? Like thank you doesn't seem quite right but its the only thing that I seem to be able to come up with.

Edit: Also a realization I had was that Tara posts on Tuesdays and Fridays. Friday is my birthday, and I’m now super excited because I get to enjoy one of my favorite TH-camrs on my birthday so that is a plus.

That corner would look good with a cool lantern or pendant type light that you can hang from the ceiling to get it up higher so it isn't hiding behind you when you're at the desk.

The ball lamp is sooo cut, for the table in the living room, i feel like it would be such a vibeee

All the lamps look amazing! But the last one looks great because it will break the monotone tallness with the pedestal and the repetition of the shelves since it is curved, so it looks like an art piece. You can also turn it around a bit if the proportions felt weird becuase the shelf could be right next to the lamp shade.
Loving the house decor content! I think full length linen/sheer curtins would be absolutely STUNNING in the living room. For the lamp, I think personally I would go for a tall standalone lamp rather than having it on the stool. I think the stool colour is too white and generally doesn’t fit that space (if that makes any sense!). I would opt maybe for one of those overhanging floor lamps? The house is coming together so nicely and I’m loving all the diy projects!!

I feel like a wall mounted sconce centered above the shelves would be a better lighting option for the office. I think a lamp on that table is going to seem really low given the height of those shelves right next to it, and depending on the actual dimensions of any lamp you choose it could seem really crammed in the corner there too.
I think a hanging light would be look awesome too! But 4 is my vote!

Definitely go with lamp #2 the round one. I'd put it on one of the three shelves you have and then put either a sort of tall vase or a plant on the thing in the corner. Either way the office looks so good. Love it
the green taller lamp would give the area some texture and dimension, i think it’d be so cute!! or the globe one because it’s just so pretty lol
Love the green lamp! You will always have some kind of greenery to tie in the green lamp, plus the room definitely needs some pops of colour. Some other decor in either pinks, orange or lilac would look so adorable. Love your house and style!

Love anything home update❤❤ for a quick effect in your crawl space try putting in a warm toned light bulb. It makes a huge difference. My bathroom had a similar cool lightbulb when we moved in and it felt so creepy but just changing the bulb to warm made all the difference!

Also! What if you moved the pedestal to either side of the fireplace with a draping planter on top and then put a desk lamp on the picture wall side of your desk (on a timer even)?
1st or 3rd lamp!! I like the green to add a different neutral color to the space! A pop of color but not out of place!
I love the office. You could hang a plant from the ceiling to the left of your shelves and the lamp would then be sized correctly because the plant hanging from the ceiling gives it a feeling of being taller than it is. I just bought a great lamp from target. Its white textured and its pretty big its on sale also . its called ceramic assembled table lamp white threshold designed with studio mcgee. $45.50 textured just a thought. I love everything you have designed Yaour dad is awesome too
Lamp 4 for sure. The green with the brown shelves compliment each other really nicely. The other lamps are fine but I definitely say number 4 😊

XOMaCenna has THE most perfect office chair! I would totally reach out to her about it! It's cushy and beige and I think it fits your office SO SO well! And avocado hack! Take off the pit top and if it's green inside no grey or brown splotch in sight then it's a great avocado! I make a lot of guac and often buy 8 avocados and I've NEVER picked a bad once since learning this hack! I hope it helps!
do the long drapes - I had floor-to-ceiling drapes in my loft years ago - they were black-out silk (you don't need blackout) but the silk was heavenly - you'll love it

I really like the globe lamp, it's unique and I think the metal element would fit nicely with the wood tones. It also brings a lot of interest texturally

Love the new layout for the office, and the sheers in the living room will look great!! Of the four lamp styles, I prefer the taller green one. You do tend to gravitate to that colour, but if you have doubts, the last lamp looks good too. 😊
I think the green lamp would look the best, cause that shade of green is still on the neutral(ish) side and its easy to go with other decor pieces, plants etc.
I think the height of the green lamp makes the pedestal work in the space. Otherwise i think it looks a little off but also its hard to tell without the other ones actually sitting there. Whatever you choose will be beautiful i am sure💕
I've been using the pre-made protein shakes as creamer for a while and I LOVE IT. I don't use too much, so a carton gets me through 5-6 coffees. I like to switch it up between vanilla and caramel flavors, so good!
i think the tall curtains will def be nice BUT the way you get excited about nice sunsets, rain, snow, stormy weather etc you might miss not being able to look through the top windows anymore... unles they're always gonna stay open ofc but you might want to think abut that
Option 3 is my fave. I like that it has two color option (i think the green would give a nice pop of color) and i like that it has a height option (tall is my fave for the space)

Electric curtains? Since your ceiling is so tall maybe invest in the ones you can open and close with a remote? I think you should move the macramé wall hanging up a bit and put your tile table underneath! It seems a bit clunky and cluttered trying to force it in the corner when you have all the decorations on the shelves. Which protein drink are you using? I cant seem to find one thats not grainy or gross.

This is exactly what I suggested to do with the office. 👌 Push the desk back and just put the two chairs in front without the side table. Now you just need a bigger rug so the chairs go under it. Yes to lighter colored office chair and you may want to go with a tall, dimmable floor lamp that arches.
