I bought on office chair off of Wayfair a few months ago and had the same issue with the wheels 😭 I had to really push the wheels until they clicked loudly. Luckily they haven’t fallen out since I figured that out!
You should keep the lamp there, the texture and weight of it is perfect now that the tree is there. I would move the black dish on top of the coffee table books underneath and then I think it's perfect! Such a beautiful little moment in your home!

I kinda love the contrast of the black chair behind the desk, but I see why you want one a little more upscale. I wonder if you get a black one the same as or similar to the guest chairs at the desk you have, if that would look good? I'm starting to see that material in more colors. Even if not that material though, some kind of high end black swivel... overall though, your office looks so so great!!
I feel like you should keep both trees.. just put something in the pot as a riser so one of them is slightly taller than the other…I think you need more dimension and depth of space in that corner..
Fruit fly hack. Put out a jar of applecider vinegar with a drop of dishsoap. The dishsoap breaks the surface tension of the vinegar and they immediately sink and drown. Use a jar you plan on throwing away 😅
The side table in the living room looks good with the bigger tree. I would add more round decor.... the rectangle table , rectangle lamp, and rectangle mirror makes it seem unbalanced.

Regarding the fruit flies, put a cup out with vinegar and a couple of drops of dish soap to make a fruit fly trap! It works like magic
