I think a lot of producers look to movie stars for movies, in general, and TV stars for other TV shows. Not always of course, but to me that seems to be the case. Plus he is good, but not one of the actors I consider the best. Just my opinion.
I watched LOST around 2011 when it had finished but was new. I recently watched all 121 episodes again and I know I'll watch all 121 episodes again for a third time in the next 5 or 10 years. It's just incredible.
I really loved it! but I never managed to watch it again and I lost interest in the clues after that ending. I felt that the clues were actually useless, they were false to trap the viewers... I would watch again just to see Sawyer hahaha
Sawyer actually had one of the best character arcs in Lost, in my opinion.... starting out in season 1 as really, a very selfish, conman style character with very little trust or love for anyone... and very gradually throughout the seasons; become a trusting, loyal and even heroic character. One of the better things about the later seasons of lost...

Then I said maybe he’ll buy a proper vacuum filter instead of using old dirt filled gloves he found at the truck stop by the island with the bad water hose. Imagine if they went the other way? We’d never know how much corn would have been grown, and just because the buckets are old doesn’t mean we can’t go to the carnival for Lima beans and French fry cake and vanilla icing on the side in the original container, foil on.

Stuff like that gets lost over time, but it was GoT-huge way before GoT, and it was on a major TV network. The insane viewership, the conspiracy theories, the whole Dharma Initiative thing - the obsessive fandom for that show was off the chain.
The real question is *WHERE IS MATTHER FOX??* (Jack Shephard) 😭 He was amazing, you could read every emotion in his expressions. Lost really had a great cast
Nugget Granted, the ending of Lost has some issues but was not a complete disaster. It stayed true to the characters and concluded the main plot sufficiently. I liked it overall. GoT completely mishandled characters and botched the main plot.

I always wanted to see Josh play a number of heroes as I knew a role there would really push him into stardom as he may have been the best actor in LOST by the end. At this point, I know he’s 50 but I’d still be happy seeing him play Adam Warlock or even just a voice over, say for Beta Ray Bill.
Like any responsible woman, Kate didn't choose either Sawyer or Jack, she chose a successful film career leading her to being in the highest grossing movie of all time.

I am not optimistic about him signing up for a non-sci-fi role now though, I cannot possibly envision him in a non-sci-fi movie/series/video game, but that's just me...

I thought to myself after Lost ended, that I will never be as obsessed and encapsulated by a TV show ever again. So far that has proven right.

I miss “The Colony”, although season three was a bit of a dip from one and two. Still, was a good show and now we’ll never know what could have been.
