After a short hiatus, I am finally back with more videos! Between moving to a house at the farm, having a baby, and other things, my main editor(Ali😎) and I have been rather busy.... There are only 2-3 more videos before we catch up to present day. I appreciate you all continuously watching the videos and supporting the channel!!! Best wishes and enjoy your day. - Andy
I"m more than happy to support your channnel and really like your content. I appreciate that you don't beg for views, likes , subscribers. As a 61 yr old man that grew up on the farm I also appreciate that your not scared to share your yield results. Kinda tired of all the big dogs not wanting to show what they really do othe than manage half a million subscribers or beg for them. Just shows in this day in age you can be a superstar and can't even throw the ball. Hope you all the success.
I appreciate your support! Everyone has different likes and dislikes. Some people just want to be entertained and not educated... all the power to them. I try to find something in the middle. It's impossible to keep everyone happy!
The water you spray with definitely has a hive effect on spray success for sooo many reasons. You can always ad neutralizer to your water if you think it might have chlorine but soft well water with no stains or iron in it is best.
I am sure that our well water has iron just from the older plumbing in areas, but I could be wrong. I'd like to setup 15-20,000 in storage around the farm to use for cleanout and possibly loading in the future. They say that a full water test is a smart move to determine any corrections that may need applied before use.
Trippy, congrats on the new baby and moving to the farm!! Your dogs and your family will be much happier in the country. Looking forward to harvest. Keep it between the rows 🚜🌽🌽
You probably could have handed that bracket to a machine shop and told them to copy it... Probably 1/2 the cost or less. It would have been good to put anti lock grease on that pin, because you're probably going to have galling happen again. That's most likely what happened with the first one.
@@GravyHucker Yeah I learned the hard way too. In my experience, stainless with aluminum is one of the worse. But I've even just had stainless nylon locking nuts get so seized on bolts that they just sheared off the whole bolt trying to get them off.

It looked like the mounting holes for your wet boom were slotted. Maybe you could adjust them down a bit and get the tips below the frame. I'm sure you know this but if one was just after the plant health benefit, a cheaper fungicide like Headline or Quadris could be used. I used Delaro Complete at it was the same price as that Miravis Neo. $$$
I buy sweet corn from a local farmer here in SE Wi and he uses no chemicals on the corn. I find some wormy corn but it’s not too bad. He’s been irrigating the corn seeing how we’re in a drought. He charges me $9 a dz which isn’t bad seeing how it’s organic corn.
We sprayed out sweet corn with herbicide when it is little, but that is it. It receives the same nitrogen program that the rest of our corn does. Once it gets taller, we don't apply anything because we do not want any pesticides on the ears, even if there are bugs.
People have raised over 600 bushel corn in high-management, irrigated fields. The record is 616 bushels. It is certainly possible for corn averages to push into the 300s in the next 5-10 years depending on climate, breeding, and crop protectants. We've had entire large fields average 270+ before without doing anything crazy!
We have quite a few Don Mario soybeans through Burrus, but we don't have any corn. We had a few bags last year, and it was some of our best corn. It is just hard to fit every brand in the lineup and still get competitive pricing!
Andy, can we assume that all of your crops are non gmo? How much N is in good old fashioned cow/horse manure? What are the chemical reactions of mixing your fungicide together with new trial N product? Do you think fertilizing at ground/root level is more effective than at leaf level?
None of our crops are non-gmo. I don't know the nutrition of horse or corn manure, but I do know that long term application of those products build a really healthy soil with high organic matter. Fertilization time and location depends on the product and time of year!
@@aTrippyFarmer Ok, I have not eaten anything GMO in about five years. This trend is catching on enormously. Could I convince you to have some type of a meeting whether it be in person or Skype, Zoom with a farmer that used to grow Gmo crops that has transitioned over to non gmo? I personally would love your input after the meeting.
I was going to tell him the same thing. Years ago I had to put new skids on hay mower conditioner. Bought 1 for $100. Got shop to make 8 from bisalloy (much harder wearing than steel and lasts about 3 times longer) and they charged $480 for 8. Ie $60 each.
WD40- the "WD" stands for "water displacement"... It's great stuff if you need to dry your cap and rotor and sparkplug wires.... useless for anything else. You should have used Aeroshell MS33 (Military) grease on that pin.
The skin cancer was cut out last winter. I had a checkup last week. The Dr. said that there is nothing visibly developing on my nose, and the scar is just not healing great due to the tightness of the skin on my nose.

I’d like to think so. Thanks for the comment!
Should have put some antisieze on the pins.
why a hagie vs a deere + stilt kit?
More support for hagie sprayers at our dealership than Deere sprayers, if you can even believe that!

Watching him drive that pin in there - she's galled already. I can't fault him, I had to learn that way too. He will figure it out for next time.

Ask Bill, I'm a stickler for not letting the hose soak in the spray tank when the tank gets full (5:30).....know when to pull out I say! 🤓
Oh, and others have said antisieze is the answer for sticky pins.
Is there a y such thing as a 300 bushel corn crop?

According to the Deere website, the base price for a 640RX is $896k! 🤯
Dang!
That is list price. I'd guess that is sells for 20-25% less than that...still a ton of money.
900 for that bracket, that's rediculous, yea definitely a rip off for sure, what the heck, good video Andy, thanks for sharing

Have you checked on the y drop an spray nozzles for doing fungicides looks to me would be better coverage on the corn
Farming with Duffy Ag has applied Source to corn.
And One Lonely Farmer has used “secret sauce “ whatever that is.

If you think stainless bolts would be better for that situation just go and buy them from a bolt shop. And hi from Australia.
The fungicide prevents corn smut?
I bet you’re local fab shop could have made that cheaper
Yeah I would've taken that new one to them and then returned it after they made one lol

shouldn't that bracket be covered by warranty ?. i would probably argue until christmas about that bill.
The sprayer isn't brand new. It probably only came with a 1 or 2 year warranty from the factory, and it is almost 4 years old now!
