I have my own comment about that x 9 combine Andy. When dealer stops over to sell his next new machine don't be afraid to say no ! You had an excellent unit in the shed that you traded away.
Hey Andy, Those sound like some really cool features for the Libra system! We will be sure to add them to our feature request list. Any new features we do add will are only being added to our Libra Harvest app from now on. There are already a few new features over there like light and dark mode options. We love watching your videos, so if you ever have any more great ideas we'll be watching 😉Good luck with the rest of the season!
You know there was a sitcom back in the day called Laverne And Shirley. Lenny and Squiggy might have been guilty of the infrequent underwear change!😅 Nice video again. Thank you for the true and current representation of our area! Best wishes to you all
It sounded like Lennie replied to you with "I don't know about you but I'd call 911" when you tried to pass the blame of the break down and his reply to you could have been a warning to you not to accuse him LOL, Sorry just a funny cartoon playing in my head and I wanted to share :)
Andy, my family and I have been dealing with old oil well pits for decades. The best way to help them is plant barley, get someone to cut and bale it. I know, it’s a pain! But the barley pulls the salt out of the ground, takes a few years but it works. You have to cut and bale it, that way it removes the plants because the absorb the salt.
I am 70 years old and spent 25 years on a farm. I'm amazed at the speed you can harvest corn at! I know that you pay 1 million to get that speed but it's still amazing.
The odd/puzzing years of yield, weather, and timing are more likely to become of part of the data set that will need to be studied over the long term. But with data, one year is not enough. Mother Nature...she's always in control! Great video!
Smart move on keeping that older combine with both heads. Kept harvest moving when the X9 was down and then switched over to do some clean-up on the leftover beans without bothering the X9 with it. If you just had another truck and trailer that you could have left for the soybeans.
You had mentioned that you were thinking of getting a high-dollar thermal imager,. Just curious if you've had an opportunity to check out either one. And your comparisons to greasing and maintaining your equipment are great.
did you have volunteer beans early fall? In SE Indiana farmers that combined there beans earlier had volunteer beans come up mid October that looked like they was a planted cover crop. idk if it was pods busting open from wind or if it was all combine loss. it was something I have never seen.
years back my grandad was still farming until he passed at age 83. We had gotten a new combine and he wanted to drive it first. The auger was a lot longer than the previous combine. Got in the field and was cutting out a spot for the trucks. He immediately swung the auger into a tree and bent it bad. Had to replace it. My dad was using it and had opened the field up when it was fixed. Grandad wanted to get in it again. Went down the field and turned around at the end and swung the auger into a tree again and had to replace the unloading auger again. Same combine a few weeks later. Grandad gets in the combine and just blindly starts backing up. ends up climbing over my dads truck. How he didn't notice the backend going up is beyond me. lol But it destroyed the truck. My grandad when shelling would bend points at least once per week. I also run the points on the ground and have yet to dig into the ground. One time in down corn I hit a tree while shelling directly into the sun. couldn't see but that was only time I ever tore a point up. Funny thing was there was no trees around there. Come to find out the guy mowing yards had drug the tree out in the field . My grandad was hell on equipment lol enjoy them while you have them. He passed with his boots on and shortly after my dad died unexpectedly.
So Andy, what Will you guys do about the X9? Why couldn't you just trade out the X9 that you guys have for the X911 100 If it has the features 8, you guys were originally looking for. And if it's got more capacity wouldn't that be a good problem to have in a way where you could get a lot more done or just because it fills up so quick, just not having another truck to keep it away quick enough. Why wouldn't you just go with AJ? And m do log or cart instead of going with an Elmer's i'm just curious. Eric from indiana
Hey Dude How are ya? I just noticed your carts hitch set up. What the ……….are you all thinking man. Tell me! Why does the tractor have a double hitch with the lower tongue super thick And The cart has a double hitch with both tongues half the thickness of the tractors, both the same and only one hooked up and the lower one just hanging there?????? The cart should have one tongue the same thickness as the tractors lower. How has that not already snapped? Just because most weight is on tracks doesnt mean it can’t transfer forward and snapped that poor thing. Then that chain looks half the weight. No wonder I’m seeing so many carts snapped off over there. Tell me What’s the tractor and cart mass horizontal and vertical force limits🤷♂️

His father wanted to trade, and we dont knowthe reasons for it.

Andy, it's nice to see you are keeping your sense of humor during a long harvest season. Stay safe

I'm starting to be a believer in planting beans as early as temp and soil allows and plant corn into warmer ground.
Katie is awesome she drives that x9 like a rally driver 😂👏
Who needs an auger when you have Katie with a shovel

I love the new purchase from out west great job 💪💪💪👍🤠😎
Curious why you didn't use the 670 in corn to save rental fee? Plenty of 670 with 12 row heads at 220-260 corn.
That color code, sounds like a great idea.
Yep- Illinois 21 Michigan 7 -unfortunately they didn’t fare so well the fallowing week at Oregon I-L-L 💙🧡
I nominate Lenny for employee of the year, the boy gets a lot of things fixed! 🤓👍

Good video good to see y'all
Is the top of the cab for extra storage?
First and great video and glad you got the x 9 back

Do you know if it would be cheaper to build bins to hold 1mill bushels of corn or a building to hold it and would it be easier to store in a building
And at 11:33 your pretty funny comparing greasing to underwear also you need to feed Lenny better to get better luck with your X9 He’s the true boss
Enjoyed - great narrative
Why didn’t you switch to the s670 when your ingestion insurance ran out?
I am happy your yield is good. I don’t think it quite off sets $3.50 a Bu.
Yes I have three brine ponds were dug that contaminates my black sand land is it contaminate around it for some reason

I work for a farmer with a S790 with a 16 row head. 2 carts and your humping in the cart
So how does your dad like the 12row folding head
Squeaky and sticky 😂😂

Dont jump. Spilling geain is Ok. 😂😂😂
That X9 project is the biggest JD failure, sorry green guys.
Hello from California trippy farmer way your sister never want to be in the videos
Moral of the story, if your underwear gets squeaky, grease it , I think.
😂 blaming your own son instead of the black cat. 🤦🏼Bet Lenny could have gotten in there and fixed it! 😂
Majority of the yield difference is based on the ground temp when you planting
Nope soil moisture
@nathanmorton4080 somewhat but without the right temp you can have the perfect moisture and your yields will be below expectations.
@@nathanmorton4080 both!
Please don’t use the shovel on the cab of my X9 shoveling off that corn please you’re scratching the paint please please please
So they ain't no Child Labor Laws on your farm? 😂😂😂😂
