Studio version songs are really good but live performances are insane.
They are so good. As an old man with Aspergers, I have never been able to comprehend what people are saying. It is always "huh" "What did you say" over and over. Now with The Rose and ONE OK ROCK, I absolutly understand everything being sung. Their diction is so fantastic. I wish Americans could speak so plainly and distinctly. I am born and raised American. Currently downloading all ONE OK ROCK from iTunes. Thanks
Takas ability to control the crowd is something I've never seen before... It's super magical being in the silent crowd as he pours his heart out on stage so amazing I can't wait to see them live again

I am soooooo happy you are checking OOR. They are an amazing band. They have been around for so long. Tons of albums. Taka is anextraordinary singer and Ryota, Toru and Tomoya are impressive musicians. An amazing song. Their concerts are massive, full of energy. and the crowd is awesome. A sad, sad song. When you have to leave a relationship and you have to tear up a house and split things, and he is saying, I don´t want anything. Amazing performance. Their old stuff is heavier. They just released an album and it is soooo good. You can check " We are" , "When I was King", "Chaosmyth", "Clock stikes", " Mighty Long Fall", " Wherever you are", "Wasted nights", "Nothing helps" Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer"............. . Always go for the lives. They have many songs with Orchestra. It sounds amazing.
Fyi the cracks on his voice in this concert is because he was sick on this live.. the concert was 45 minutes late due to his condition
OMG YES...TAKA And One OK Rock!! Yes you MUST go down this rabbit hole. BTS AND ONE OK ROCK just hit my heart like nothing else. And they are on tour in the states right now. I wanted to go but sold out in Vancouver. Also there is a documentary on Netflix about them...so so many good songs! Let's do it...this song..just wow. And the fact the crowd was just silent with him. Japanese are so respectful towards artists. Love your reactions..watch them all.

This song is actually Taka's reaction to his father leaving his mom. The divorce was devastating to him, and you can really feel both pain AND anger in his magnificent voice 💜

We Are 18 fes (this one is special cos this festival was held specially for young Japanese teens who are 18, or turning 18. When kids in Japan reach age 18, they consider they are adult and host ceremony to celebrate such stepping into the adulthood event. Funny, I have been a One Ok Rock fan from all the way back in 2010 when I was stationed in Japan and this is the first time ive heard this song by them... All I can think to ask is WHO HURT YOU TAKA?! OMG that was so powerful and it made me tear up... Picture this, a 38 year old US Army Vet sitting at his desk crying like a fresh faced youth on his first breakup... Wow you sure know how to start your journey into One OK Rock. I am requesting ONE OK ROCK - Dreamer M/V. This is the song that made me a fan back in the day. Enjoy the journey my friend.
Yay~! Awesome reaction to One Ok Rock. I actually just saw them live last weekend in Atlanta, as a long time fan (10+ yrs) seeing them for the first time was surreal and everything I had wanted it to be. One Ok Rock isn’t just the singer, they’re a band of 4 members, Taka (frontman/vocalist), Ryouta (bassist), Toru (guitarist), and Tomoya (drummer). Fun fact: One Ok Rock has always said that their albums are just merely invitations to their live concerts. Meaning that if you want to experience all who they really are, you gotta see em live. Which is why all of us OOR fans suggest to check out the live versions of their songs. Their MV’s are cool but live concerts are where they really shine. I would suggest you do "Save Yourself," "We Are," "Renegades," "Stand Out Fit In," and pretty much everything off the new album. I can't wait to see more!

I have a lovely ARMY friend who turned me on to these guys. They are on tour in the US and Canada now. The funny thing is that there's an elusive song snippet that's been playing in my head for a few years, and I had no idea what it was, who the artist was, or where I'd first heard it. It turns out that it's their song, Heartache. I was so excited to finally find the whole song. There's a studio jam version on YT that I particularly like.

I saw them live for the first time back in 2016 when they were an opening act for 5 Seconds Of Summer. Fell in love with them and Taka's amazing vocals. It changed the way I discovered other bands, cause usually I hear them on the radio or somehow before I see them live. But it was such a different experience seeing their live performance first. Fast forward to 6 years later and I'm seeing them on their most recent tour in the US and even took my little sister, who fell in love with them through me. One of the best bands to date and I'll never stop supporting them.

It's a little late comment 😅Correct me if I'm wrong but I've read somewhere that this song is written by Taka, and it is quite emotional and special to him because it's the story of his parents(?) when they're going through the divorce and it broke Taka so much when his family's bond falls apart right before his eyes. So basically the emotions he inputs in this song is from his own experience but it wasn't his own love story. It's my favorite song of them and I love the lyrics, you're right you can feel the pain and it feels as though we broke up and he's talking and saying all his frustrations to me through a song. That's how good he delivers the essense of this song❤❤..

Hey thanks for checking them out. I knew you would love them. Like people say his lives are epic. Taka also did a song with Lincoln Park in a remembrance/celebration for Chester that was hard but good to watch. Start Again is good and One Way Ticket and We Are and renegade which was written with Ed Sheeran. I get into them when they were first starting due to my daughter watching Japanese anime cause they did some intro to some that she was watching and they pulled me in with his storytelling in his voice. He to me reminds me of Jimin from BTS with his facial and dance expressions. Then I started live and that changed it. I love my BTS boys but I’m rock at heart. I like from Black Veil Brides to EMO with AFI and punk rock which they also do like 5 Seconds of Summer back before they’re sound aggressed. I’m excited for this journey also. 🤘🤘🤘😊

got to know OOR because i saw han frm stray kids talking about "We Are" from OOR during lee mujin service, and i followed OOR, then recently i decided to listen more to OOR and suddenly i was recommended on youtube their live concert, my heart was so comforted so i just bought tickets to see them in singapore

Silence/pause/empty space is a ... common artistic feature in Japanese (Asian, I guess, but as I've only lived in Japan I know nothing about other Asian cultures) art. It was great to see it here used with such impact.

I learned about OOR in '08 and Taka's voice and just the passion always gets me. I'm always so happy to see people get introduced to them. There was a period when I wasn't listening to them but took the first chance to see them live when they first came to my state because I remembered how much I loved them, and just fell in love all over again. All the time, they just take my heart!

Taka comes from a family of singers. Both his mother and father are famous in Japan for their singing, and his younger brother, Hiroki is also a singer in a band. At first, he was very reluctant to join the band, but I'm glad he did. He was still a teenager. Since then, the band has been his only job.
His voice and singing style move people's hearts and capture their hearts. If you create a sense of unity with the fans, you will be able to capture their emotions. 😌
One of my favorite OOR performances is I Was King with a full orchestra and We Are Official Live concert. Takas vocals are amazing. He is a skilled songwriter as well.

I don't usually watch reaction videos but I absolutely LOVE One OK Rock and I wanted to see what you, as a vocalist/musician yourself, thought about Taka the vocalist for this amazing band would be. I'd love to hear your reaction to some of their other live performances like "We Are" or "Cry Out." Even though us international fans don't understand the Japanese lyrics for their music, we can still feel the raw emotion and power that they command.
I'm so excited to see them live for the first time in my life in Vancouver on Oct. 15th!
