I must say that I'm amazed at what you can do; and all with spray paint, plastic wrap and some kind of palette knife. I paint abstract with acrylic, and for anyone who thinks what you do is easy, I challenge them to upload their own video. Absolutely in love with that piece!
At first, when you did the swirl, I was like "Wow, I thought it'd look much better, based on his other stuff." But then when it started coming together it blew my mind. You're immensely talented. I definitely want to tr this.
Watching this video is like ohhh now I know what that plastic technique for and stuff like that will keep you stay focus on this video until the end. Great work Markus !
This is awesome, I been designing controllers and game consoles, I usually make my stuff kind of gory and I learned some cool tricks on my own but decided to check up on some tutorials, I didn't expect something this nice, it has me inspired on my next console. I think I will make something that glows in the dark in some spots as well.
It´s funny when I watch artists doing this and some people whisper "It´s the same shit everywhere" or "I could do that too" because no to both. Every artist has a unique style and no, not everyone can do this. The artist has to know how to work with the colours and how to use the tools to get these awesome effects. This is a very great picture!!
Even if they can do it its always going to come out different that why I love this so much u can jack a concept but it's still will be a original by you and no one will ever make the same copy
At the begining I was so skeptic that I wanted to close the vid... but I take the patience to watch it entirely... Freaking awesome, one of the best spray paint art I ever seen...and it`s on canvas not glossy paper. COngrats mate!!! CHeers
man this is awesome... i have some spraypaints and art canvases but havnt been able to do the detailed stuff like this yet.... hopefully I can get to the same level as you one day.
love it! i just wish your camera person didn't zoom in and out so much since it made me a little dizzy. might i suggest that the camera stay in place during the whole demo and then close ups to the painting for details when it's done?
Well duh!... This was done on the fly not premeditated he just walked in and started filming. Otherwise normally all my other videos are on a tripod but thanks for the advice...
Unless you're really good at editing time lapses, how do your stars not thin out or end up to blotchy? Because that still looked wet, & I have now had to blow dry or air dry before attempting stars otherwise they end up as described above thin wet rings or big blotches.
Its all about the paint you are using and how much you spray down. I have found that the stars tend to do that if there is too much paint down when you put the stars on top, or if you are using cheaper paint that has thinner color pigment in the paint. I prefer to use the Rustoleum Painters touch for stars. Also, if you are not in a hurry. let the paint dry for at least 15 min or so, and the stars will lay right on top! Cheers!
@@MarkusFussellArt rustoleum, & krylon. Could be I try to be light as I can, maybe I shook it to much thinning it out but it's done it on dry paintings too.
@@MarkusFussellArt 🤔 I just so happened to pick up rustolum black the other day instead of krylon I'll have to try it out thanks. I have most my colors in rustolum. Only black, green & light blue krylon.
+Markus Fussell Art Hi I'm sorry I don't want to bother you but please answer, this is amazing what kind of paper do you use?? And you must know what you're going to paint right? Or do you invent the details just like that? I want to learn that technique you did an amazing work here it's beautiful!
Sir this was purely beautiful... I am just learning and starting out new... So if u have any tips that would be much appreciated! Thanks once again....
This is so amazing do you have any pointers for someone who's trying to star spray painting like what kind of surface I should use and what caps would I use as well
Yes definitely recommend starting on basic glossy posterboard. No special caps just use stock caps that come on rustoleum or Valspar sold at Lowes or Home Depot
I have a question. I also spray but when ever I try to enhance the natural lines it either goes to the canvas or just looks like crap and advice besides "keep practicing"?
what kind of things do you have to do differently when spraying on canvas instead of the typical glossy poster-board or maybe it would just be easier to ask what differences can we expect when switching to canvas? p.s. not having the video in hyper-speed was nice.....
Is there a better paint to use? As a teenager Krylon was the preference for graffiti or street art and Rusto was go for practical use, so would Rusto be the best or can one just use any high gloss non water spary paint? Noticing different cans here but not sure if its a big deal.
Steven Ramos i like all kinds of spray paints, but for most of what i do, i use Rusto 2Xs Painters Touch. Its alot more coverage and stronger pigment than Krylon. Plus the Tips are a lot easier to get a good spray.
So you don't get special caps? I find the spray a bit wide I am however very rusty haven't sprayed in ten years. Ok that sounded worse than I wanted but you understand I'm sure you got me lol.
Awesome job, would love to try this on a guitar I've got laying around,as long as I don't offend you by using your idea,if you rather me not, then I'll just have to be creative on my own,but really nice work
Markus Fussell Art hey thanks, not sure how soon I'll have it done but once I do I'll post pics, the guitar is green now so I think it would look amazing, just got to order hardware for the guitar and that part might take me a bit,but thank you for letting me use your idea, really impressive.
It would be cool of you could do something with a superhero in it like Batman who uses a lot of black. But the space stuff is really cool and I kinda wanna try doing this because this looks fun.

Amazing- as often as I have seen your work, it was really cool to see the process.
If the universe is truly infinite than a galaxy that looks like this exists somewhere.
Just something to think about.
Exactly. Someone gets it 👍
Excuse me sir, just wanna ask about the materials your using. Are you using a pallete knife, plastic wrap, magazine paper to create that look?
But it's not and it's just like you just won't accept that you live under a dome.
dude. online is vids. u inspire me to be spray artist like u. I love u xx
Thank you man, I was thinking about a mural like this, and now I have learn from you how to do this the best way. Great man it helped

Thank you!
As a spray paint artist myself I can honestly say I've never seen plastic wrap used for texturing ever, and it's great
Yeah when I made this videoing used the plastic wrap off the canvas, but now my favorite is plastic bags from the grocery store👍
MAMAMIA NOT EVEN I LOOK THIS PRETTY
Dude, that is Awsome!! great work
+mike loder hey what did you use for canvas or paper?
This is really nice thank you for sharing. I learned some stuff
You're welcome thank you for watching
pretty cool my friend, I make spray paints too but i use SBS (sulfated card) what kind of canvas do you use in the video?

What cans do you use to get that misty effect instead of that thick spray?
Valspar from Lowe's stock caps they spray very lightly
Beautiful!! Would you please tell me the name of the tool you are using around the 7:30 mark? Thanks for sharing!
A Standard painting palette knife (metal not plastic)
Thanks! :)
does the canvass need to be glossy also or does it still translate good with the paint and not absorb.
