Muhammad Hassan took his first & last move in WWE from The Undertaker, his WWE career culminating with a Last Ride through the entrance stage #wwe #wrestling #undertaker
YEAH, AFTERWARDS HE SHOULD'VE DID THE KNEE POSITION WITH THE SLIT THROAT GESTURE AND THE NEXT EPISODE OF SMACKDOWN HE CAME BACK AS THE MINISTER OF DARKNESS UNDERTAKER 😂😂
I still don't know how I feel about that whole thing... I could understand why he was scrapped, but, I also feel bad for him. Isn't he really Italian? He could have been repackaged and brought back.
Haven't seen the full interview here yet but Mark did another interview awhile back talking about his release. The first idea they had was to send him back to OVW where they could figure out a new gimmick for him. Mark didn't want to start from the bottom after how quickly he got over and was already burnt out by the whole situation so he chose to leave wrestling altogether
@@MegaX432 I see... Thanks for that piece of info. Whatever he decided to do after wrestling, I hope he succeeded. ⬆️You too, @mattmorgan2534, I hope you're well. I still remember the banger you & Angle had at BFG years back. "The Blueprint!"
@TheBigCheeseTP how his whole character was based on US fans being racist towards him and then they were actually racist towards him but he was treated like the bad guy?
@@mor4665 it's true. The character of American being treated badly due to his heritage should be a protagonist. They treated him like expecting to be treated like any other American was bad
Hassan was legitimately one of my favorite characters/personas in WWE back then. And even today. Love the gimmick and he played it to perfection. It definitely ended a lot sooner than it had any right to and it's a damn shame. He and Daivari were heat magnets like no one else. As soon as that chanting hit the loudspeakers, the entire arena was instantly filled with boos. And it was awesome.
Sucks he didn't really get much of a chance to develop/grow as a performer. He was DEFINITELY talented in the ring and on the mic, but his character was not very well thought out by the suits. I wish he had been given a different character after the backlash from Muhammad Hassan. Also, he seems like a very humble, genuine guy, based off all of the interviews I've seen with him.
His character was someone who had been treated badly by racists despite being an American himself. That's a good character. The problem was the fans were actually racist
Alot of people talk about THIS match, but what about that 1 royal Rumble year? He shows up & literally ALL of the wrestlers inside the ring both face & heels all attacked only him. The audience was cheering. Then he got thrown off the ring. .
I'm always so fascinated by the Last Ride. I understand that the wrestler taking it helps a bit by pushing down on Underaker but HOW does he get a full sized man up that high?! It's insane
Does Any one remember that segment when Daivari returned in the wwe with The Great Khali, i thought he came for a revenge, it was really hard to see someone dominating taker like that, As a kid i felt so bad💔😂
God damn I just realized that I’m getting old. I’m shocked to see him with white hair and beard wtf he can’t be that old. I still remember dude with greasy hair, tanned af and oiled up lol
The guy was Italian the whole time and they squashed the character because him portraying an Arab was too controversial. The double double E is ignorant sometimes. Hopefully it’s in better hands now.
The WWE wrote the Arab character in the first place and put him in the limelight! It was just negative backlash from the media that made them remove the character.
Network and politics are the ones who should take the blame more than the Wwe. Wwe was actually about to put him against Batista in a World championship match at Summerslam
Absolutely insane some of the juice cycles these guys were on. NONE of them are naturally able to carry that size. Looks like a small soccer player now when during WWE run had abs on his abs and traps past the base of his neck lmao
Hassan was a great heel and WOULD have (not could have) paved the way for others (non-cookie cutter generic wrestlers). I had 3 WWE tryouts as a Chinese wrestler prior to 2010. His push would have been a God send and would have ushered in a 2nd age of Attitude Era instead of the PG era. I was presented as Chinese but am also Japanese/Hawaiian and wrestled Yuji Nagata when I was 23. Least Jey Uso still uses the neckbreaker I made in 1998. TH-cam Best Neckbreaker in Wrestling History.
Bro, I have always loved wrestling, the story, I get annoyed when people say "it's fake" ok, tell ya what, let him slam you thru a stage! It won't hurt, it's fake,,, right??😂. So much respect for these guys, they sacrifice their bodies hard man
Cornette talks about it on his podcast how highly he valued Mark Magnus and how badly they fucked up his character on the main roster. It’s sad he seems like a great person behind the gimmick.
Still crazy to me I didn’t hate this heel. I’m from NY so the adults was always talking shit about Arabs muslims etc after 9.11. The only heel I truly love to hate was JBL he was American as can be.
I feel bad for how the dude's career ended, but his character never flew right with me. Basically a character based on Arab terrorist stereotype to further fuel racism.
Remember as a kid loving to root for the really good heels. Was disappointed when they canned his character. Even then I understood why, but it was a shame. Dude was cookin.
His career was ruined because of jealousy from the other wrestlers as he was getting a huge push despite being not so tenured with the company. Add to the 9-11 incident and the nature of the character he plays and it all went downhill from there.
