It's an artifact of the camera angle and the compression of the telephoto lens. Watch at 1:00 as the woman in the pink blouse exits the aircraft, and in what direction she walks to stand by the man who then *appears* to step back toward the tail rotor. He was actually standing up near the cabin, and stepped back 90 degrees from the line of the tail boom, so nowhere near the tail rotor.
You can use auto gasoline or 100LL aviation fuel. The preferred is auto fuel as the engine was designed to use unleaded fuel. Auto fuel is less expensive as well. 91 octane
It depends on which model of gyroplane, and where you are. In the USA, for example, some very small one-man gyroplanes can be flown without a license in what the USA calls the "Ultralight" category (which is different than the UK's "Ultralight"), but ones such as the Cavalon shown here require a minimum of a Sport Pilot license.
We had an AutoGyro MTO open cockpit gyro made by this company land at Nogales a few days ago. Here's a video of that... th-cam.com/video/T6oxbzWZkmY/w-d-xo.html

Thanks for the video. Greetings from a Cavalon pilot from Germany.
What an interesting little aircraft. Thank you for posting and God Bless from Florida.

Are they doing Diesel models yet
sehr wackelig . . . . .aber nicht schlecht !!
Am I imagining things or did that guy almost back right into that helicopter's tail rotor?

What octane fuel does it take ?

The thumbnail blade orientation needs been used to land that in tight space ( back drag rear 45° landing )
how much does it cost ?
