    It is a very good book for beginners as well as for those that are already into th-cam.com/users/postUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt A very good basic ebook to keep as a reference too. I like it and the way the subject matter is presented. It has humor and that helps with the reading.

    This is definitely among the better videos found on TH-cam and you do a very nice job presenting. That said, I'd like to offer this advice; show a pic or two of the finished product at the beginning. I don't like skipping to the end of the book anymore than most people, but it's a lot easier to comprehend what we're looking at when you have a point of reference. Aside from that, very that, extremely thorough and complete in the detail that most videos skip over. Good job!

    My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. But thank God for this piece of article th-cam.com/users/postUgkxVYhghKWmrUgXARZ_ydZTvmmcrw5L0I5i At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is good stuff.

    May not be load bearing, but make sure the stairs are self supporting. I have seen stringers split because people have removed the walls under the stairs.

    Personally I would have just finished the edges of the drywall, covered the open insulation with some thin plywood, and built a couple of doors. The way they show it here it certainly looks nice but you lose a lot of space with all the wood framing / drawings.

The plans are super easy to read and understand, unlike several others I looked at online. Definitely a valuable addition to my woodworking reference library. I would highly recommend it to anyone who's interested in woodworking *TopFineWoodworking .Com* >>>>

    Having glue and black bar clamps touching eachother and the wood doesnt stain the piece. Also if it does, wipe up excess glue and after glue dries, sand it a little bit.

    When the studs were removed under the staircase and replaced with the storage face frame, it looks like the structural support is much compromised. Although it looks great, I don’t think it would pass permit inspection in my area.

    • @bighands69

    • @brosefmcman8264

      No! The stringers carry the load on the stairs. The vertical boards were only for drywall to be attached for a finished look

And if I am a person that has all of these tools that means that I don't need this video, do I? This video is a FAIL, but amusing to watch!

    Material check. The storage frame is solid plywood (birch? oak?). The backing is just normal plywood. And the framing plywood for stair supports (at the beginning) is also just normal plywoood. Correct?

      Matt Odonnell Good grief! Isn't your response a good bit disproportionate in anger and vigor to her (likely very inaccurate) comment? All of that foul language and hate doesn't help you improve the impression the other commenter has of your trade. I don't think her comment was nice either, but your replies were worse. Just my opinion offered with all due respect.

    • @Champ7611
      @Champ7611 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      scrippslarry i don't need to try to change her impression of my trade! If shes as dumb and stupid as shes portraying then nothing could convince her otherwise!
      My anger and language is relevant because I'm sick the back teeth of ignorant morons like hers opinion of the tradesman of our country.
      Shes nothing but a stuck up old bat whos probably given the builder just as much grief as he's given her! So now shes taken to youtube to share her disgruntlement! But to tar every builder with the same brush!

    • @scrippslarry
      @scrippslarry 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Matt Odonnell totally understand your frustration at your entire trade being criticized and maligned by a careless generalization due to what was very likely a bad experience (or experiences) had by this lady. Your reply to me was much more measured and showed some restraint. My thinking was when you launch a no-holds-barred, profanity-laced attack on someone you lose the advantage of having your perspective received and potentially accepted. What you might've said instead that could have a more positive affect would be to recognized the fact that she has had some bad experiences, but explain that it is inappropriate for her to generalize and lump all carpentry tradesmen together due to those experiences alone. It just seems to me that social commentary on TH-cam and other social platforms has become an unbridled verbal fistfight waged incessantly, and seldom with attempts to try to gently persuade others to our way of thinking. In this way we all lose the opportunity to enjoy a kinder, and more positive experience with others on these platforms. Again, just hoping that we all might try to take the higher road in our communications with others instead of "burning the road".
