Kinda upset about that actually. They used to have ANC on the everyday buds. I had broken those and got a new pair a year ago that didn't have ANC. But now they do again, oof

I wish with all my heart they would keep playing Internet Cafe Simulator 2. I feel like it was dropped too soon because, for them, it was one of the earlier sim games.
I love how much time they put into these games with Arin running around chaotically, and not getting anywhere near progressing anything in the stores lmao. My favorite kind of Gamegrumps episodes
They're not singing about zoot suits, they're singing about the Zoot Suit Riots. Race riots that took place in '43 in LA. It's ... a whole thing. But the song isn't about the suits.
As much as I love when they play supermarket simulator I'm not gonna lie... When Arin sweeps cars away with his broom while screaming at the top of his lungs in this game It sends me so hard! So glad they're playing this again.😂
To anyone wondering why Americans call it gas: gas is short for gasoline, the name of the substance. Petrol is a far less accurate term because petroleum refers to a range of substances
we need to upvote this to the top. I'm so sick of brits mocking the US for calling it gas when thats more accurate than petrol. Only way they could be more wrong is if they call it crude oil.
That's not even really right, there is a difference between petrol and gasoline, both are derived from crude oil but there are changes to composition dependant on region, they have different environmental impacts and small differences (mostly because of regulations and the way they process). However, they're essentially the same thing. Also in Europe people also use natural gasses in households, like to warm homes, so calling it (petrol) "gas" would ironically be imprecise (at least in the UK, a lot of EU countries use forms of "benzine" to describe petrol/gas) Though, I'm not a gassologist except for when I eat beans, so feel free to look up the deets (There is a great stack exchange thread on etymology of gas/petrol!)
So I got curious after reading this silly little exchange (if someone cares THAT much which of the two you use, they're not worth listening to), and it seems the reason it's called petrol in the UK is that the term was originally used to refer to a mineral oil derived from petroleum that was commonly used as a solvent. A few decades later, they realized it'd work great as a fuel for cars, and the name just kinda stuck.
Both this game and Super Market Simulator can be full series and I would watch all the episodes. I don't know what it is about you guys and Simulator games this year but fuck me is it incredibly fun and hilarious. Please keep these going my friends!
Loving this era of the boys getting some store simulator game to play where they RP as dual store owners with a chill guy and a frantic lunatic that's screaming/crying/throwing up/etc. from the moment he arrives at his business.
I think Arin forgot he could close the store and take time to fix everything that needs fixing. Although I feel like he'll just say something on the lines of, "I can't close the store. I need to make money! It's all about the gas!" But I'm also enjoying Dan basically being a smartphone blowing up with constant notifications
In this game, Arin did not EVER realize that he could close the store/sleep. Aside from the very brief shot of the over-garage apartment where his character woke up after getting beaten up by the thugs, Arin has no idea that there's more to it than just running the business. Dan hasn't even figured it out yet either.
Then again, there doesn’t seem to be any actual REASON to ever close the store, since you don’t need to sleep and your customers seem to be infinitely patient (aside from giving you some angry honking to listen to).
Spatch is great. It cognates all the right words like spatter, patch, splotch, and is also a fitting onomatopoeia. I now define spatch as the singular of spatter.
YES I was just talking about how this one needs to make a comeback. The way you ended that last episode with Dan freaking out over Arin sweeping away the cars was such a funny bit I was in stitches.
I have 6 years of c-store experience and in real life the store part of the gas station is there to actually turn a profit. Gas stations make pennies on the galon for gas sales. The gas just drives traffic to the store. People come because they need gas and buy something thst makes the store money while they are there. Lottery is another one. Not high profit margins on them but it brings a lot of bodies into the store. Tobacco and Nicotine to a lesser extent. They bring people in but those have decent margins.
it's why the markup on energy drinks and gas station food are usually like a dollar plus higher than if you were to go to an actual grocery store to pick them up.
Gas in this game is a bit better. There is also a lottery machine but it is a bit hit and miss. You can have it suck in losers all week and give you a major payout when the winner finally happens.... or you can stuff 10,000,000 into it and have the first person to use it win the whole thing. Yes the odds are tiny but it can still happen.
@@deadinside8781It's a good business. Gas isn't unprofitable and the margin on the products in the store are high, it's just a nightmare of inventory. That's why QuikTrip is big on membership/loyalty programs and being the price leader, lets them make the most profit.
A tip for Arin since it's driving me insane: You can just switch to the garbage bag tool and pick up trash that way. You don't need to pick it up and walk it over to a garbage can. You can do this with the old tires in the garage, too. Significantly faster and easier.
You can control the customer flow from the computer and toggle on/off different services of the station to focus customers into the services you want to focus on, or to completely close for time to do decorating and customization.
2:58 We call it gas because it's short for gasoline; the same way the English call it petrol, short for petroleum. But what we use for fuel is gasoline, petroleum is the crude oil that gets turned into gasoline. So in my eyes, it's more accurate to call it gas than it is to call it petrol.
From Wikipedia: > The American English word gasoline denotes fuel for automobiles, which common usage shortened to the terms gas, or rarely motor gas and mogas, thus differentiating it from avgas (aviation gasoline), which is fuel for airplanes. English dictionaries, including the Oxford English Dictionary, show that the term gasoline originates from gas plus the chemical suffixes -ole and -ine.[14][15][16] However, a blog post at the defunct website Oxford Dictionaries alternatively proposes that the word may have originated from the surname of British businessman John Cassell, who supposedly first marketed the substance.[a] There are a few more paragraphs regarding regional differences and colloquialisms and it was honestly an interesting read.
It's still a petroleum product. Americans choosing to call it gasoline after refinement doesn't make calling it petrol any less correct for countries which don't.
I still don't understand why these people aren't filling up to full tanks with these agreeable prices AND in the middle of the desert... head scratcher.
I mean if you really start thinking about it, why on earth are all these people expecting you to fill up their cars for them? isn't that specifically an Oregon thing? a place that route 66 specifically doesn't go through?
@@burnin8able Its also in New Jersey too. Its illegal to pump your own gas there, so take that as you will. I think its probably because they'd lose profit gains or something cause you also pay for them to do the job.

It isn’t called gas because of its physical state, the word is short for gasoline; which is linguistic adaptation of the name of the man who first marketed a particular brand of petroleum based lighting fuel. His last name was Cassel and the product was called something like Casseline or Cazeline.
