7:27 She is not the typical western zombi but a jiāngshī, also known as a Chinese hopping vampire, a type of reanimated corpse in Chinese legends and folklore. The characters for "jiāngshī" are read goeng-si in Cantonese. The use of a talisman on its forhead is to make the corpses move by themselves for easier transportation. Talismans are written in vermillion which represents pure Yang energy. By tacking a talisman to the forehead of the corpse would enable the jiangshi to be controlled by the priest in doing whatever they order. In the case of Qiqi however it is to seal off exess power she was revived with.

Man I remember watching a movie about the hopping zombies when I was a kid, that creeped the hell out of me
while the talisman is to control the zombie, without it, they will thirst mindlessly like a zombie for blood will bite you like vampire. even when they are entombed the talisman stay on. for Genshin, Qiqi gain(or regain) self control by using the talisman, this is why she say she gave "orders" to herself, and she easily forget other things as her conscieness is limited to the power of the talisman to instruct... (her talisman need a RAM upgrade)
This was fantastic. Not only did you do some research into the correct order to watch them in, but you also had some interesting insights into what was shown and you did a great job at noticing a lot of little things. I also really love how you actually tried to piece together aspects of the world as you watched these. You were surprisingly close in a lot of moments.
I really hope you decide to do the version trailers and the character teasers. You'll see a lot more of the world, characters, and lore there. Not to mention more of a look on how the gameplay works.

A little tip, the game got 5 types of weapons they fight with, sword, bow, polearm, claymore, and catalyst, for the last, if you don't see one of the other weapons in combat, their most likely a catalyst user

also certain characters don't have visions like the start characters and some others if they don't have one it means their special

everything in these trailers are made in game engine the game is literally 100% faithful to the trailers this is not the case with league for example where there are epic cinematics and when you go to play... well... its that

Also yes, all of the trailers you see are locations within the game, usually 4 star characters tend to have more gameplay in the game, while 5 star characters tend to have a more cinematic/short film kind of demo

@@WeAINTseenITREACTIONS Mondstat is more on Eastern Europe, mostly Germany. Liyue is just China. Inazuma is Japan, Sumeru is Middle East, Northern Africa, and iirc Southeast Asia. And Fontaine is France and some of Western Europe with (I believe) some of the Americas (particularly the US).
The next two nations Natlan and Snezhnaya are Latin America (with some speculations) and Rusia respectively

Not sure if you already know this but Genshin impact is getting it’s own anime (it got announced last year), and it’s by the same studio that made the Fate series(Ufotable)so it’s funny that you mentioned it.

For the story, there are several kinds of Quests.
Archon Quests: These are the main story and where you meet most characters through the game. They are split up between nations. Prologue being Mondstadt, Act 1 being Liyue, Act 2 being Inazuma etc. (Fully Voiced)
Traveler/Dainslief/We will be Reunited quests: Typically, these act as a sort of epilogue to a particular nation. These progress the other main objective of the Story in attempting to reunite with the playable character's sibling. (Fully Voiced)
Character Story Quests: These are stories that involve a particular Character. These typically give you a bit of insight in how the character is and their personalities. With the exception of about 4 characters, every 5* character has a Character Story. (Fully Voiced)
Interludes: These are side stories outside of the main quest that involve Playable characters. Currently, there are 3 of them. (Fully Voiced)
Character Hangouts: These are for 4* characters. They play out like a dating sim and have branching paths and multiple endings. (Fully Voiced)
Event Quests: These are time limited and only show up for about 3 weeks (about once per 6 week cycle). Most of them are festival type events and some tend to have teases for concepts, characters, events and background lore for the Archon Quests. They are also a way to get various characters to interact with each other that normally wouldn't. (Fully Voiced)
World Quests: These are essentially sidequests. These tend to provide background info on the history of the world or it's inhabitants. Usually not totally Main Story relevant, but can include teases for things that are discussed in the Main Story. Some of them also unlock Areas like The Chasm and Enkanomiya. Some of them can be really long and hold very interesting lore for their regions. (Not Voiced)
Commissions: These are daily quest. Not very important for the story and are just errands to get the currency needed to do the Gacha. Some commissions are multi part over multiple days that have their own overarching story like curing a girl with a chronic illness. (not voiced)

The "missing trailer" is the Jp dub of Venti's trailer. They never removed it from the official playlist despite there already being a En trailer. They never made a En trailer for Fischl so that's why the Ch one is in there. For other stuff to react to, character trailers focus on individual characters while version trailers focus on the version expansions and limited-time events although they don't start really teasing parts of the main story itself until almost 2.0. IMO, Collected Miscellany, which focuses on character abilities and gameplay, is best enjoyed after you start playing because you won't be able to appreciate how certain abilities work until you've had some gameplay experience under your belt.

I’ve been taking breaks once in a while watching reaction videos like these especially the new ones and I’m glad that whenever I get back into the video to continue watching, I keep seeing the views and likes go up considering Genshin Impact is a popular game which captures the eyes and ears of new players (victims) then get views just by reacting to it for content for the veterans/ppl who love to watch reaction vids abt Genshin Impact like me lmao

I've just heard the intro about the company hopefully delivering good free to play product, and before I watch the rest of the video, I just want to say something. Many people accuse Mihoyo of being greedy because Genshin is, fundamentally, a gacha game. Sure, they could be less stingy about some things. But they deliver consistent large updates every 6 weeks, always with multiple events, and very often with new maps and quests. Their story writing has gotten SO good over time. I have played Genshin since week 1, and have never bought anything in game with real money. I planned ahead and have not fallen into the 'must-have-every-single-character' mindset - and still, I have over 20 of the limited 5* characters without spending a dime (out of about 30+ total). So yes, you can enjoy this game - with beautiful graphics, amazing music, deep lore, interesting quests and tons of things to do - completely for free.

Nope, actually all the trailer music is written by different composers, Yu Peng Chen wrote only in-game music

Ya he didn’t write ALL of the demo music, there are other composers, but yu peng Cheng wrote majority of hoyos must popular musics. Most of the early demos are all yu Peng Cheng, other composers started writing the music of characters demos in inazuma.

There are seven elements in the game: anemo( wind), Geo(ground), Electro ( electricity), Dendro( plant) Hydro (water), Pyro(fire) and Cryo( ice). Each character have one of the elements, whe a element have contact with other it is produced a reaction, reactions are the main way to make damage in the game. Also there are seven nations, however only five of the seven are available right now, and each nation have and archon( god), each archon have control over one of the seven elements. Also you can make a team of four characters, and each character have a role in the team ( dps on field, dps off field ,buffer, debuffer, shielder and healer).

I'm a big Genshin player, so this is a treat to me. Genshin is a gacha game, which turns a lot of people away before they give it a shot. I've been playing for over 2 years completely free-to-play, and you can absolutely do well in this game without spending a single penny. You should definitely give it a shot if you like open world exploration and grinding for character builds for good team synergy

This game came out in mid 2020. The game is celebrating its 3 year anniversary. Hoyoverse has done a great job with this game. I started playing this game about 2 years ago.
The combat is smooth and easy to learn, the story is deep and interesting, and the game events are very fun to participate in.
Everything about this game is positive. The only con I have in the game is the co-op experience is boring and doesn’t add anything different to the game.
I recommend that you also react to each character trailers and the Genshin update version trailers, they will help you understand the game better.
If you want to try the game I recommend you play through the first “archon” storyline in the first city you go to. After that you can decide to continue playing at the pace you want.

It is a gatcha game, but considering the amount of in game currency they give you for free in events and exploration, you can comfortably save up to get the characters you want... as long as you don't want all of them that is 😂
I'm f2p myself, and haven't spent anything but time (and tears) on this game and I'm doing well. Also, the 3 most broken characters in the game are 4 stars (Xingqiu, Xiangling, and Bennett) that can easily be obtained and Xiangling is even given for free once you reach a certain level in the abyss.

Fontaine is the nation of Hydro and it's ideal is Justice
Natlan is the nation of Pyro and it's ideal is War
Snezhnaya is the nation of Cryo and currently we don't know it's ideal.
All the elements have Reactions which do different things.
The four main elements (Pyro,Hydro,Cryo & Electro) all react with eachother.
Pyro + Hydro = Vaporize
Pyro + Cryo = Melt
Pyro + Electro = Overload (Explosion)
Hydro + Cryo = Freeze
Freeze + Physical Attacks = Shatter (Unfreezes the Target & does massive DMG)
Hydro + Electro = Electrocharge (Ignores Def & Does Tick DMG)
Cryo + Electro = Superconduct (Reduce Physical Res Explosion)
The other three elements have unique reactions with the main elements (Anemo,Geo & Dendro)
Anemo + Pyro/Hydro/Cryo/Electro = Swirl (Swirl changes the element of the Anemo attack into the element it picks up)
Geo + Pyro/Hydro/Cryo/Electro = Crystallize (Picking up a Crystallize shard gives a elemental shield. However it's considered one of the weakest reactions in the game and thus Geo suffers)
Dendro + Pyro = Burning (Tick Dmg)
Dendro + Electro = Quicken
Quicken + Dendro = Spread (Increases Dendro DMG)
Quicken + Electro = Aggravate (Increases Electro DMG)
Dendro + Hydro = Bloom (Eventually explodes but can also hurt you)
Bloom + Pyro = Burgeon (Instant Larger Explosion that also hurts you alot)
Bloom + Electro = Hyperbloom (Blooms become seeking missiles that can't hurt the player)
Characters are also split up between 4 Stars & 5 Stars. 5 Stars tend to be on limited banners and have special animations for their Burst while 4 stars have simple animations. This doesn't mean all the 5 stars are the best though some of the 4 stars are considered the best characters in the game. Example: Xiangling

I don’t know with what part of their body all these reactors are watching the trailers: Collei twirls a boomerang in her hands, shoots a bow, throws a boomerang - and they’re all: “Oh! She’s throwing her bow!”.
Visions are source of their elemental powers (those trinkets they carry with element color and logo) also their visions sync with their personality (example all 🔥 users are outgoing and extroverted 😂)

GOD DAMNIT!!! I swear to you, there is a version of Fischl's trailer that is in English, I'm not insane!
Im sure there are Chinese versions if every trailer, so I have no idea why the official Genshin playlist and this fanmade playlist only used Fischl's.

"Childe" is pronounced just like "Child". The E is silent.
He uses a bow, but he has an attack mode that gives him duel Water blades. He can fuse these blades into a spear/polearm.
Fun fact: He is technically a Villain/Antagonist. The "The Tsaritsa will have what she desires" is supposed to be ominous since he and his "co-workers" serve her, and do pretty bad things in order to achieve her goals.

There is a gacha feature of the game where you can roll for characters and yes you can spend money to get more gems to roll more. However you do earn those same gems while playing so spending is not necessary at all and entirely optional.
This game has a history that goes about 6000 years back but we focus more on the past 500 years. Similar to how in one piece there's a history that goes to about 3000 years yet we wanna know what happened 800 years ago.
Each character has their own story and secrets and exit on their own (well except for two who were creations from others).
13:31 it's fire and Klee is what we in the genshin community call a terrorist because she creates her own bombs 😂
14:38 she's part cat but there's multiple different types of species and 5 types of weapons (sword, claymore, polearm, bow and catalyst)

@@shinhonwy Maybe the culture of the people of the Akademiya are inspired by the Middle East but the regions like the jungle and desert are inspired by Africa cuz I don’t know of any jungles there plus the tomb of King Deshret is a pyramid and those are in Egypt which is in Northern Africa. I heard that Natlan is going to be similar to South America and be inspired by the ancient civilizations of the Aztecs, Incas, etc, meanwhile, Schneznaya is obviously going to be Russia

Egypt is located in Northern Africa, but it is considered to be a (western) part of Middle East tho. Also, Middle East has deserts as well, not just in Egypt. There is a bit of Northern Africa influence here and there tho, so you're right on this one.
Natlan's theme really sounds like something Latin American for sure. Probably South Africa too.

Hi there! I am poor, but I still play Genshin and haven't sunk a SINGLE penny into this game. The creators of this game try to make it easy for gamers like me to get characters they want because there IS a gatcha system in place. There are forms of in game currency you can get by just playing the game. Game does give you free chars like the Main Character(s) of this game, known as the Traveler (by other chars in game). You basically play a brother or sister in the game and your sibling just becomes another char in game.
It should be noted that not all chars have demos, especially in the beginning. Chars like Amber, Lisa, Jean, and Diluc don't have demos, but they are prominent in the story.
Not all of Genshin's game has been released too. The game takes place in Teyvat and there are 7 regions. 5th region dropped recently and they're still in the process of releasing chars.
@12:02- Venti's male. It's okay to mistake him for female though. His English VA is a female though- Erika Harlacher who's voiced A LOT of chars, most notably Kurapika from Hunter x Hunter and Ann from Persona 5.
@16:42- His name is pronounced "Child" lol. He mentions one of the regions that hasn't dropped yet. His main weapon is the bow, but when he uses his 'special moves', the bow changes into either those double swords or a lance.
@35:55- You're actually correct for the most part. All 7 regions are based on real life areas. Let me list the ones available at this time- Mondstadt (Germany), Liyue (China), Inazuma (Japan), Sumeru (India, Middle East, Egypt), and Fontaine (France).
I actually have 2 types of fav chars- story or gameplay. If I am lucky enough they'll overlap. But I have these 2 categories because I may have a char I play with but don't know much about them, but there are chars I met in game, but I don't have them in my roster yet. My fav chars story wise are this- Diluc, Xiao, Traveler (I play the female one, her in game name is Lumine), and Yae Miko. I barely got to the 4th nation (story wise) so I won't be listing any Sumeru or Fontaine chars yet. But ones for those regions I do like based on their demos are Alhaitham, Nahida, and Neuvillette.
Gameplay wise, my fav chars are- Shenhe (I got to briefly try her in a World Quest and I want her on my team permanently), Alhaitham (he's my main damage dealer), Fischel, and Noelle. Noelle doesn't have a demo, but she's basically a tank type of char and has a shield mechanic.
The company's name started out as Mihoyo, but their name now is Hoyoverse. I think they changed it when they made that other game- Honkai Star Rail.
