World's Most Beautiful Starbucks ★ ONLY in JAPAN

  • Where is the world's most beautiful Starbucks? Japan, of course.
In Toyama city's Kansui Park is a shop that has won awards for it's design, but it's also the location that makes it beautiful. Those big windows overlook a lake in a park, the building resting upon grass, surrounded by sakura trees. The fresh air off the sea of Japan and the beautiful sunsets over the nearby Japanese Alps can't be forgotten. I could sip a hot cappuccino all day here.
But wait! Starbucks newest shop in Kyoto (Ninenzaka) is a traditional tea house that looks centuries old! It's hard to tell it's a Starbucks until you see the sign. Inside, it's like going back in time. You definitely feel Kyoto's historical vibe sitting on tatami sipping macha tea ... lattes. This may also be the world's most beautiful shop.
Hakodate in Hokkaido is home to what many consider to be the "coziest Starbucks in the world". It's got a fireplace, wide open rooms and stairs, natural hard wood floors and a beautiful deck that overlooks Hakodate Bay. It's super cozy!
Yeah, visiting Starbucks is certainly one attraction for many visitors because it seems more than just a chain coffee shop. To me, it a reflection of the world around us -- and a really good cup of coffee.
THIS IS NOT A SPONSORED VIDEO.
I made this episode from a suggestion from a viewer in 2016 :) I also like Starbucks Japan because it's the only cafe chain that is non-smoking and has excellent coffee.

Also, myself and I’m sure many others as well, we love you!! First starting off watching your original TH-cam channel without knowing too much about you since each episode was only about japan, after making the vlog channel, we have since learned so much about you, and your stories! AutoAnubis Just because it's a Starbucks and I can drive to my nearest one in 5 minutes doesn't mean it's not something worth my time to visit in Japan. It's the structure of the buildings' that's beautiful and I love that, not because it has the name Starbucks. I've never seen any Starbucks like these so why wouldn't I go? In my opinion, Starbucks at Taal Volcano in the Philippines is the most beautiful Starbucks I've ever seen. I've been there a few times and the view never gets old.

The effort taken by this company to blend into whatever environment their stores occupy (at least in Japan) is commendable. Some other brands will simply stick to a stubborn design guideline and, most often than not, disrupt the entire surroundings. Kudos to John for not being a sellout (as he affirmed this was a non-sponsored production), and to Starbucks for respecting the communities they join.
Thanks for sharing this with us, buddy!

Breno Luna you're very welcome and I'm happy you enjoyed it. I think Starbucks gets it because being disruptive is not what people want anymore. People want things to look more natural, blend in and I enjoyed making this one -- for us :)

Whoa! You're as Starbucks-crazy as I am, John. I went to that Nineizaka Yasaka Chaya, outlet in Kyoto, enjoyed the Shibuya JR crossing from that Tsutaya Bldg, too. Great feature on the more notable layouts and designs; thanks! Really enjoyed this one. All I'd have needed would've been my doppio to enjoy the sights.
