I just got my Foil Quill and wish I had seen this video first. I used a piece of foil that was much bigger than I needed and it overlapped my material. I ended up with a lot of foil on my brand new mat! Live and learn. I have a thicj silicone potholder and I lay my Quill on that while it was heating up and while I got my project ready. That way it was only in my machine while it was actually drawing.
Hi, poodlebone, thanks for watching! I eventually got the foil off the mat by soaking it and lightly rubbing it...but it lost a bit of stick in that area. I might have rubbed too hard. I like the idea of using a potholder too!
Thanks for sharing!I appreciate how you showed the different tips. ! About the foil, I already knew did not not work with the deco foil, I'm surprise it kind of worked on the Mic foil. Any how I heard thru other people talking On TH-cam. The spellbinders hot stamp foil works. I haven't tried it they say it the same thing Aliexpress sells: look under hot stamp foil. For really good prices and any colors. I have already put my order. Just waiting for them to come in. They normally take up 3 weeks. I will see if works. It only cost me $ 6.00 not bad for 4 rolls.
The tips actually do not get extremely hot. I can touch the tip without causing any injury, even after leaving plugged in for 40-45 minutes. When the machine is at rest, the tip doesn’t come into contact with the mat and loaded cardstock on my ScanNcut.
Hi, Lori! Thanks for watching! I picked up one drive by Paige Evans. I will probably collect the rest. The designs work well and are really cute. Have fun!
Thank you for trying different foils, really surprised that Deco Art Foil did not transfer at all. I use a heat tool to transfer it to polymer clay, also a heat pen transfers deco art foil to transparencies, fabric, etc.
Hello, Pauline, Thanks for watching the video! I will try again with the deco foil. Maybe a slower speed with the pen. I have lots of deco foil. Love it!
@@stampjg here is video showing it transferring to polymer clay, at end you can see some transferred on to my cardstock stencil too. Could be it needs more heat than the foil Quill, but not sure. Glad you are experimenting and sharing. th-cam.com/video/rtCUicGd2YU/w-d-xo.html
Hi, Maisana27! Thanks for watching! I do not know for sure but if you google it, I saw in a knk facebook group that someone one suggested the foil quill with a D adapter would work.
Hi, Ghdjs! Thank you for watching! You can use these pens without a die cut machine, but not well. They get very warm to touch, and the barrel is short and awkward to hold. I did a video called WRMK Foil Quill with Stencils where I experimented with it, before they came out with the Freestyle pens that are more comfortable to hold.
Hi, Edna! Thanks for watching! Yes, the Foil Quill works on sticker paper well, so if you make planner stickers you can add foil details with this tool.
Hello, Tiffany! Thank you for watching! I am not sure why. It is a great product - maybe a bit pricey at $99. I Googled it and Crash Test Dummies did a video, so there are some out there. I haven't had a chance to watch yet to see if there are technical issues. It works like a sketch pen, so I wouldn't expect any problems for Cricut users.
Stampjg - StephG I’ve realised the ladies I’ve been watching are cricut sponsored. I’m assuming because cricut can’t market it, it’s not promoted. Otherwise it’s got no bad reviews anywhere.
@@Just-a-girl Okay, that makes sense, now! I was a little puzzled because the was a lot of general buzz about it. Hopefully a search on TH-cam will help you find some good videos that show how it works with Cricut. Have a great day!
What kinds of projects would or will you make with the WRMK Foil Quill?
I Would to make leather monogrammed key chain as gifts. I have already madecBirthday card.
I won’t be getting mine for a week. I will use it for cards, notebook covers, bookmarks and (if it really works on vinyl) on some of my vinyl art.
Excellent introduction to the Foil Quill on a Cameo. I especially appreciated the settings info and how to use the metal protector. Thank you so much.
Hello, Mel! Thanks for your kind words! I hope you enjoy the Foil Quill. It is a fun tool.
Iv got the scan n cut pen and the WRMK one is on its way, can’t wait to try them both..
super easy and clear to follow, great expanation. Thank you!!!
Thank you so much for your guidance on using the WRMK Foil Quill tools.
Thanks for watching, Zayda!

Have you tried using the fill feature to fill in the foil area? Thanks for doing this video! Very helpful 😁
Hello, Crafty Deb! Thanks for watching! I have not tried the fill feature, but it is a good idea, and I will try it out when I get a chance. Thanks!
Thank you for the video it has given me a few ideas how I would be using it
Hello, Pauline! Thanks so much for watching! I agree, this heat pen has a lot of potential.
Very helpful! TFS! You now have a new subscriber. I’m looking forward to your future videos. 😊

They have 6 usb drives released with great designs. I just got 3 of them

What is a sketch pen?
Hi Sandy! A sketch pen is a specially designed marker that fits into the blade holder on a digital circuit machine Hope this helps!.
