Hi Jonny, great post, I was really impressed by the Sonicake acoustic gizmo, I can't say the same for the microphone but it might be worth having a play with the settings to see if you can improve things a little bit. We've all bought new gear in our time which hasn't impressed us much right out of the box but after experimenting a bit its turned out to be great so I think its worth sticking with. Love the new format, if you're not carful you'll end up on the telly:)
Sonicake coming away with some good effects for sure .. thanks for reviews . Gives prospective purchasers some great insight of the product before purchase or not .. cheers .. 🍻
Jonny the clip on mic was not that clear and your phone sounded much better but your overall visual quality is much richer and clearer. Either way it's very cool that Sonicake are sending you gear to review how cool is that? VERY! ☝☝
Very Cool, Thankyou Jonny. Great new 'fast moving' show, straight to the point. Nice Work. Interesting products, Sounded good, but your 'mic set-up' sounded way better than the reviewed product. All the Best. Cheers
I'm not sure if it's the pot (a volume pedal is just built around a potentiometer) because it might be cheap it sounds more like a kill switch than volume swells. Try a cleaner sound (think a Country Pedal Steel guitar) to see how much range you have from that pot. The standard volume pedal is a Ernie Ball. The other advantage of a volume pedal is to use it as a Boost/Drive by rocking back for clean and forward for drive. You can do this with your volume knob on your guitar (especially on Tele style guitars). If you want a good idea for a guitar project would be a Tele control plate flip (let me know if you need details) and the upside is that when you do this the volume and tone knobs are easier to manipulate (hence the volume pinky swell technique). The best part is it is FREE!😳👍✨
Great Stuff Jonny! Love it! 😀👍 Video quality on your phone is excellent! 😎👌 You're right about the Mic - that didn't sound the best, and the Volume pedal sounded a bit on/off to me 😬 Still loved the vid tho - great job mate! 👍
It's hit and miss with these guys. The Sonicake Matribox 2 is a good multi-FX. I borrowed one for a jam session before, and it served well enough to help us reherse. No, it's not the best on the market, but it competes well with other similar units that cost 20-50% more. I've not tried the cheaper one yet.
Great quality video, but I think your cheap mic beats the Sonicake version. The volume pedal is a great gadget, even get some Knopfler style violining with that. I don't know about acoustic effects, I don't gig so I don't need to use a pickup on an acoustic. Could be fun though.
Please do hit that LIKE button ❤
You've turned yourself around in a few videos, mate. Very well done. This is very slick. Nice!
Cheers mate, much appreciated. It has cost me in gear, so I just hope I get the views, likes and subs now.

Yeah, a spot on CRIMEWATCH lol
Much better quality video. Very Impressive.
Cheers mate. This is how it will be going forward. I have invested in more equipment too to hook things up to my phone to record

Thanks mate
Wotchin now Jonny ✌️😎🍺
Great reviews as always!
Cheers mate
That sonicake wood is a decent pedal, I gigged with one for a while, really solid. My son still has the Twiggy Blues one
Cool. The Rock Stage is a great one too

Cheers mate. I just hope it's the beginning of getting better
Have you got a new camera Johnny?
I am using my mobile phone, instead of my Zoom camera.
@@BudgetGuitarShow The quality is much better. I'd stick with it.
Don't all guitars have a built in volume pedal?, all 3 of mine do :P
That mic is definitely pants .

I have the .Matribox II, I like it
Not sure if the microphone is worth it
That mic was definitely a step down from you standard one, it didn't have the output at all. Great vid Johnny 👍
I think I got sent a faulty one. The one I was using in the rest of the vid is new, and only £20!
@@BudgetGuitarShow I would hope so, as this doesn't quite live up to the Sonicake quality I know and expect.
You should try the mike on all the settings to give ia fair go sounds muffled. Good video mate

Yep, the cheap mic is new too, and it seems to be doing well
That mic ain’t good
I do think it's faulty.....other videos show it working brilliantly
