- This is an '02 C5 Z06 that I recently bought to sell. The car has 31k miles and is finished in the all to sought after Electron Blue! For those that don't know, I'm a Corvette guy! And I have owned a FRC C5 and bought and sold many C5 Z06's over the years. I love these cars and just made a video to talk about it and show I off. This car will be for sale soon! Bought an 04 torch red in 2020 for 18k with 80k miles. I thought about selling to upgrade to a newer model but I just have a real strong feeling it's going to be a real collector car in the next 10-20 years. With the amount of comments I get driving this car around, I know it's only going to go up in value later on. It has just a timeless, beautiful look to it with great performance that I think will stand the test of time. I think holding onto this one for the long run is the best bet.
I bought an 03 Z06 back in July in the same color!!!!! My interior is red and black. I'm surprised at the constant admiration I get over the exterior color. Folks really love it!!! I like the color, but I was stuck on finding a red Vette. So, it was not on my radar. But I'm glad I ended up with this shade of blue. It really pops!!!! And when it's showroom clean? OH, MAN!!!! LOOKS AMAZING!!!! When I purchased, it had 88K miles on it. I'm currently at a little more than 82.5K miles. I paid in the low $20K for it, and that was including a 1-year service contract that cost thousands. The car literally puts a HUGE smile on my face when driving it!!!!
Yeah man! They are so fun to drive. Because their not so fast that you can't enjoy them on the street. C6Z's you can't hardly get out of 3rd gear on the street. Electron blue is my favorite color on the C5Z. They look so good! The red interior would look 😍 Don't know if I've ever seen an electron blue car with red interior.

Your wrong! 2001 has a LS6 motor but yes some of the internals are different compared 02' 03' 04.

As you drive down those curvaceous roads you might want to stay to the right side of those solid yellow lines. Nice ride.
I have a black 03Z, which really shines. I’d pick the blue in 3rd place behind the black and red. FYI, the 01, 02 and early 03’s had valve spring problems and I believe the yellow springs were replaced for heavier grey ones in 03. Not sure what’s in mine, but hoping they are grey, as my car was built in November of 2002. One of these days I’ll have to pull a valve cover and take a look 😊

It's at Day's Chevrolet currently being serviced. Hoping to get it back Friday morning. Will then have to go to detail. I'd say max 2 weeks from now.

I bought a supercharged 03 Z06 with 24k miles in 2012 for 25k. Now has 39k miles and I could sell her for that or a bit more. So fun embarrassing new muscle cars in my old girl.

Exactly. $30k for a C5Z is not "bang for your buck." This video shows a very nice example but I'm not spending $30k on a model that was selling for $17k-23k a few years ago.
I get it! Unfortunately, the market isn't going back to those days. Wish it was.
Got mine a few months ago low mileage for 27k. I lost a great chance about 2yrs ago on one that went for 23k.

Not worth $30k. A C6 stock will smoke a C5 ZO6 and they go for $25-29k low mil, nice shape. For $20k i would think about buying one.

Shane, but when the s m o k e clears the C-5 is just prettier. My C-6 has the 6.2 engine version vs the C-5 Z which has been troublesome. I just prefer to just look at the C-5 in the hangar. Could be the recessed lights. The plastic covers on the 6 to me, give more of a cheesy look.

@@shanefernandez17ca sorry, I did not intend to insult you I just read your comment and felt it subjective. I own a Base C6 and a C5 Z6. The C6 won’t ‘smoke’ the Z6. The 6 will top end the Z if you like reaching into the 170 mph area but the 6 will need a mile to catch the Z and start its race. Both are very fun cars the LS6 engine is more trouble free than the 6.2 power plant. As for the low mileage C6 for 25-29K that might be a reach but finding one for 20k with less than 120,000 miles would be nothing less than a true challenge. Are you sure you’re not thinking of a vintage Datsun Z?

C6 looks better in my opinion and will dust the C5
Only c6 I would buy would be a grand sport or z06. The base looks terrible sitting next to one of those. The c5 z will always look good beside any corvette
@@seth656 you are correct. I should have said C6 GS or Z06. The base is plain.
I’m actually going to look at a c5 z06 tomorrow. C6 is currently out of my budget and one of these should do the trick lol
