      This is very sad. Instead of flying ministers etc and discussing the default structures and cement or legal or illegal workers why don't they get more specialist forensics and focus on getting closure for the grieving families. It must be awefull to wait under these circumstances 😢

    No arrests of the owners, contractors, inspectors, engineers?
    This is a crime scene

    • @theobserver6493
      @theobserver6493 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      Arrested for what crime? I know people are angry and impatient, but there first need to be investigations to determine exact cause of the collapse. The cause of the collapse will then determine who was responsible for what, and the prosecutions will be guided by that informations.

      @@theobserver6493 It's already been confirmed that a cleaner mixed the cement... that was the problem. Engineers made a cleaner mix the cement. Definitely a crime scene.

      @@HorseyPorseyengineers don't mix cement😂 they usually instruct what the mix should be. Whether it was done who knows, therefore investigations to determine where the fault lies

    • @theobserver6493
      @theobserver6493 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@HorseyPorsey That may very well be the case, but it doesn't mean there is anything wrong with it. As @madsm1254 says, engineers don't mix cement they usually instruct what the mix should be. Similarly, architects design buildings, but don't lay bricks. The outcome is going to be determined by details - the devil is in the details. Even if it was a cleaner, that mixed the cement, was the mixing done correctly? Was the engineer's recipe correct? It may have been. But was the cement given enough time to set and dry sufficiently? Were support structures set up correctly? Were the support structures removed too soon? Were the intermediate floors loaded too heavy before the concrete was dry? Were heavy machinery used that emitted vibrations that damaged floors?
      A lot of focus will be on supervision. My heart bleeds (possibly wrongly) for the site manager/foreman. How was his supervision? How was the paperwork/documentation? What about engineering inspection reports?
      Details . . . .

      @@theobserver6493Sorry but cement mix in a building of this magnitude is insignificant. Concrete comes as ready mix from a batch plant. The mix that is done on site should only be brick walls, plaster and tile mix which are just like applying makeup with no apparent value to strength of the building especially if columns and roof slabs comply to the minimum standards.
      What is most probable is that they never conducted further soil testing after they decided to add two more storeysto the initial plan (remember the building didn't collapse at 3 storeys), meaning problems started when two more storeys were added and therefore exceeded the design loading. The bearing capability of the soil is questionable as it is reported that water was constantly pumped out of the basement, meaning that water table in the area is high. It may be that the soil tests were also superficial and did not go deep in enough to see whether there were no poor soil patches on the site. That's my suspicion

    It's an absolute disgrace, how this tragedy has dragged on for so long...
    ALL those authorities involved, ARE #F, - - kkkng useless....
    Workers are slowwww.... All those socalled , "experts", are eedyets... They know nothing...
    In overseas countries, when multiple building collapse due to earthquakes, then rescue efforts, happen much faster, than this single small building.....
    And how does the presence of government officials, make this tragedy, more, "acceptable"..?????
