Said merger would make Walmart and King Soopers / Albertsons / Kroger / Safeway the only supermarkets in the area, and frankly, I don't buy much food at all from Walmart anymore. Besides that, I pretty much only buy sale priced meat at the above anyway.
Maybe the good news goes to Sprouts and Natural Grocers, who remain the only realistic places to buy food besides those (Sprouts getting increasing business from me.)
PS: Really, who buys actual food (I'm not talking about ultra-processed food-like substances in boxes, bags and cans) from 'mart and 'zon anyway?
