This is my version of a tierlist! Showing you all how each unit can be used rather than telling you which unit to use! I figured this was the best way to display the capabilities anyways. Most of these units can be made to 3 turn or worked into one of the hybrid systems mentioned so don't fret if you're unsure about how good your unit will be. The big key is going to be having the supports as always! I used the term supports pretty loosely here even though I didn't include ever unit with some kind of buff to help. Khad haven't watched your video yet so dunno if you addressed it but I would really appreciate if you do a separate video in which you explain how buster works for +90 nodes, lotto events or events with np charge CE.
I feel like "buster system" gives people the wrong idea about how to 3 turn a farming node effectively, especially lv90+ nodes which require more creativity with the setup.
For regular 3/3/x nodes we already have comfy arts loopers who require no more than 1 arts looper, 2 Castoria, a dragon's meridian and even no specific mystic codes so when I see people getting hyped about buster I fear they'll make things complicated for themselves for no reason.
I've seen even some crit setups which abuse Koyan's starbomb and mages to one shot 1/1/x nodes with Junao's buster crits alone. A setup like this would be faster and more efficient than going charge ce + double koyan + oberon.
When it comes to buster and lv90+, there's a lot of possibilities.
Just wanted to say that double koyan is called KK and the triple koyan is triple koyan instead of emmmmm nevermind

It's kind of a tragedy that Consort Yu has the old 27% Vampirism battery. If she had that extra 3%, she could loop with double Koyanskaya and Xu Fu (thanks to Xu Fu's special 50% charge for Consort Yu), which would make her a pretty accessible/low cost looper, all things considered.

@@straypaper She has buff removal resistance for 3 turns. Also, she has a 10% np charge per turn in her first, so it makes up for her 27% vampirism not being enough, making her compatible with the doble Vitch/Oberon system with a non mlb kscope.
True, only problem is that if you have Koyanskaya, you might as well use her as your buster aoe assassin

it feels so weird that Gray has had an NP interlude meanwhile LArtoria, Arthur and Raikou haven't...
There's still so many year 1 and 2 units in need of love, I really don't understand why the devs revisit some of these units for long periods of time.
Raikou got an NP buff. It was a bad one that should have given her more damage instead of something that screams “Cope with your low damage.” But it did happen.

Raikou will eventually need a battery and a star bomb to be able to compete with her other AoE buster zerkers fellow.
Skill 1 be the star bomb
Skill 2 need to up its Buster up to 3 turns AND a battery (the dodge honestly feel like a suggestion)
After all Amakusa had like 3 rank up before being considered viable.

Yep, the big thing I wanted was to give people an idea of how their favorites work in that system and which of the setups/supports they'll need.

Finally getting around to this. I think this format is actually better/more useful than that i was expecting. I was just expecting "use this unit this unit this unit" but the video is like a one size fits all explaining how to use literally every unit
Love the guides man I always share them with my friend, hes super happy since hes new and wanted to run a buster set up hes been saving since New years.
Got to say this is the kind of tier list I can get behind. Good breakdown of the various characters available here under the Buster system.
On the positive side I’ll be all good on the black grail front. One of the rare big older CEs that I did stumble upon enough to get to MLB.
Will be fun to try out the various options I do have (Caster Nero), Ereshkigal, Ishtar, etc. but also the ones I’ll roll as many of as I can in the future like Melusine.

I just wanted to mention that Arc not only works in a dual core setup with sibuki but also as a single core setup. arc with double koyan and plug sibuki nets enough charge to np 3x. T1 arc battery, T2 koyan batteries, T3 arc battery again since 7t cd -2 (wave3) -4 (double koyan) -1 (sibuki s2) =0. sibuki also brings a party atk buff and a buster buff for arc.

Yep I purposely tried not to deal with SIbuki because of the fact that then I'd have to start letting in all sorts of mix and match setups. And at that point it becomes impossible to keep any focus to the video. 😂

First time ever commenting in a video of yours man, I love your content. I especially love how much of a technical, and exhaustive you go in your videos and you give a fair treatment to any servant you come across, be it good, bad, mediocre, whatever. And I love these long video formats. Been playing FGO for a good while on both NA and JP, and seeing this in-depth really helps me and so many to see what to do and even what can be done to maximize the efficency of every servant available in your Chaldea.
Not having Oberon on JP really hurts, and I know he isn't exactly the end all be all if you don't have it, but even then, glad to see there's so much one can do with the system (as I have been maining Arts mostly and sometimes Quick here and there) but I do have both Koyans, so yeah this help a lot. Thanks for all the hard work you do for the community mate, keep at it!

Recommend prioritizing Koyan and Oberon this year if youre going after them. More so Oberon since his repeat banner is furthest away from his drop date if i remember correctly. Other fae/summer units get repeat banners alot sooner if clairvoyance is anything to go by
Archetype Earth's best comp is with Oberon x2 and Vitch which is cool because she's one of the very few units that can do that from 0%. The 80-100% charge units are super important because they are the only ones that can 6CE lottos with enough investment which none of the other Buster units can do. Nice video as always.
That sort of glosses over the possibility of charge CE's and hybrid setups but sure.
How will she overcome her innate low damage issues with that set up? Np levels + 120?
@ali speed The 2xOberon comp is the highest damage comp for Arc, but yeah her damage is still potato compared to other servants using Oberon.
@@lhv2k think he's referring to wave 1 and 2 values mostly, since Oberon's S3 is 1T

You can do it! The only issue with Oberon is his overall damage output and invuln on NP. Just make sure you precard if you think you'll fall short!
@@Khadroth You can also do some sort of Pierce Invul strat with Sweet Crystal, Jane, or Sherlock. Jane can 30% NP charge too if that's helpful (along with crit support).
@@Khadroth I'll remember that! I also plan to take him all the way to level 120, 2k fous and (if the gacha allows it) have him at Np5. That should help a lot with his overall damage.
Remembering one of your old videos, I really do hope they start making 30% charge CEs for 50% servants.
As is, it's so weird that the buster system basically wastes mana loading for the 50% chargers and doesn't really reward them for having a bigger battery...

Yep a lot of what was said in that video still holds true too. We've still got plenty of units that are super clunky or wasteful in this system. At least they've started to show some newer CE designs in the past year though so here's hoping!
Each Space Ishtar ascension occupies its own space on the tier list. As does Nobuvenger.
Avengers are just built different.
My favorite Emiya comp is going to be Emiya, Arash, and Castoria, with Backline Koyan. Assuming max appends, 1 Castoria can charge Arash to max and Emiya to 50%. When Koyan comes in, she can top Emiya off and he'll clear wave 2. Wave 3 he's fully charged and the atlas mystic code can bring projection off cooldown for a safe clear.
A quick correction, Tawara actually has a 10% NP battery with his recent buff during the 7th anniversary.

The triple damage comp gives me an idea of using Arash castoria and 2 servants with 50% charge skills. Arash with a 30% CE has castoria use her 20% charge in him and he nps then castoria uses her charisma to charge the 2 attackers and that should let both loop with max append and 6 event CES if they have starting charge

I've been running double morgan, castoria, and oberon. My account is fairly new and I just got wildly lucky with castoria and np2 morgan. Oberon I whaled for because he's my fav though.
But because my skill levels aren't all at 10 with this setup I can guarantee that both morgans with black grails end up at 80% charge before I swap to oberon who has a kscope, his first skill then pushes everyone to 100.
First wave I use the plugsuits damage buff and ult with oberon.
Second wave morgan ults
Third wave second morgan ults with oberon buffs.
I've been absolutely steam rolling events 90+ nodes and the singularities no problems. I've used double koyan and morgan and oberon, but I like the consistency of the two morgans and castoria. kko hits harder than my setup for sure, but that doesn't really seem necessary when I'm pulling 500k damage and one shotting everything anyway.
Another one Id like to point out is double Oberon + 50% DPS if all 3 have their append 2 unlocked all 3 can np 1 wave each. Something to look out for is you are doing a knight class node just be careful of wave 1 and 2 damage tho this time you can use Oberon S3 on wave 2 on one of the Oberons since you only really need 1 for wave 3
Morgan system my beloved
I figured out how to always get around the external sleep problem. Always use Arash
I'm going for melusine np 3 this year for her December banner. The fact that she can 3 turn with black grail with just oberon/koyan/ wavers.🥴

Considering exact same support (Double Koyan + Oberon) and exact same CE, does Melusine really hits harder than Arcueid on all class except Sabers?
Arc is poverty friendly since she can work with only two supports, but Melusine is triple support or broke. Does Arc's ability to BG/6CE with Atlas makes up for the damage difference?
After MLBing the anny CE I have to ask, are there any specific comp that work from 60% starting charge?
This isn't a tier list, it's just straight facts, hard to argue with tbh

I'm so hyped, finally mai waifu Nero Caster will get used more often!
I was so worried that I wouldnt be able to get both koyanskaya & oberon, ESPECIALLY after going hard on Morgan & Melusine. But I got Oberon with only 1 SAINT QUART! I thought those daily pulls would be a waste of quartz but boy was I wrong! My luck started badly with Morgan who was the first ever servant I got from reaching pity. Then it got better from there with 350 quartz for melusine & 150 quartz for koyanskaya. Oberon costing 1 quart must be fate, because I really liked him even after he showed his true self in lostbelt 6.
At least i got baobhan sith & barghest to NP5 from the bad morgan luck as well!
Arcueid can Double Koyan + Summer Ibuki 3 turn Black Grail loop witch is kinda cool since you don`t care about refund. This is how I farmed the latests 1-1-2 90+ node in the Pope Joan JP event.

Use 7 turn charge t1, double koyana brings it down to 3, 1 turn passes and Suit does another what 2 sooo you can absolutely run 7 cd chargers

Hey Khadroth! Thnx for the info. As someone who started in November and after spending all spishtar banner, still didn't get her, and currently don't have any meta units, like mushashi berserker, or any meta supports, not even Castoria. What would benefit my account more? Saving for konyan, Oberon and Morgan/Melusine rn and skip castoria and S.kama to wait for their rerun banners.

Save for castoria and S.Kama rn with a few SQ for konyan and skip Oberon & Morgan/Melusine for their reruns?

So the issue like you kind of detailed here is that you need a lot more things to make the buster systems work in general. One of the things that keeps me recommending units like Castoria for newer players is the fact that she functions so well outside of just farming thanks to her solemn defense on NP. The system is easy to build and supplement with low star units and typically it requires nothing else. Buster can be similar but won't accel at its biggest niches (damage and not having to rely on refund) without a handful of top end units. Both are great, but if you're trying to do this on a budget I'd still recommend arts for now, and trying to build towards buster as you go.

The funniest thing is that if Summer BB could reduce her own cooldowns, even by just one, she would become the best neutral buster farmer in the game with KKO setups. Think about double buffing with her second skill, boosted by Oberon. Let that sink in.

Sounds to me that 3 turning is more trouble then its worth unless your really desperate on time. Im a brand new account off valentine but I used to play.. kinda raged quitted after summer 2 years ago on a banner and threw my account away. Starting again this year from scratch I was looking up who to roll for the buster meta definatly seems to be way too many things togheter to be viable for a brand new account without the good CEs or dmg units.
It might be tough getting enough sq if you're ftp but it really comes down to rolling for Oberon and Koyan later this year. Once you have those two, you have 90% of the requirements and you just fill in your favorite buster DPS. You'll get a lot of good 50% CEs from events this year as well, so that won't be an issue for long either.
Honestly buster farming is straight up overrated it’s loooooong as shit because of all the clicking which can get very annoying.
